Butterfly effect 🦋

Hello guys. Today’s topic is very interesting.

Have you guys ever heard about the 🦋 butterfly effect.

This theory is about how small changes effect the larger outcome. It describes how the occurrence of large events is due to the small changes or small events that occur.

This metaphor was created by Ray Bradbury in 1952 from a story called the sound of thunder. This story is about how a butterfly’s death in past could cause a very big and impactful change in the future

From Wikipedia

Butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

We can observe small details in our nature and how those small things are affecting the whole new and big outcome that is destined to take place.

From:genengnews

Although this butterfly effect is used in terms of weather prediction and also it’s traces can be seen in lorenz’s computerized weather model but nothing could be proven as weather was impossible to predict due to this small instance of butterfly effect.

To prove this theory he used butterfly analogy

The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a typhoon but in real it’s flapping cannot cause a big typhoon but they act as catalyst that is they change the rate at which any act is taking place on starting conditions.

To make it more simpler when butterfly flaps its wings it causes an small atmospheric pressure which can cause changes in the typhoons trajectory but cannot create a typhoon

From researchgate.net

This butterfly concept is like an unknown variable in a complex theory where nothing can be predicted but assures us of it existence which cannot be explained simply.

Many script writers got inspired by this theory and many films were made based on it.

From:7tint.com

But isn’t fascinating that a minute thing is the reason that effects gigantic things , that is its small existence is a big part how the changes taking place in a big thing.

Science is simply the word we use to describe a method of organising our curiosity

Kintsugi-THE ART OF BROKEN

Hello guys! Today’s topic is  about an how an art is made by mending broken pieces.

Yes you heard right when things break we throw them away but there is a Japanese art form called kintsugi or kintsukuroi.

From:unkown

As it’s name says golden joinery and golden repair respectively. In this art is made through repairing the broken pieces and again joining them.

They say broken is beautiful, in this art form there is philosophy they follow that is those cracks that appear after mending the objects is considered to be the history of that object and those cracks are not to be hidden.
From: lakesidepottery
From:edtimes.in

I love how they don’t cover those cracks and instead display it proudly as if telling the whole world to look at it how it is rather than how it should appear .

It teaches us a very important life lesson that

Never to hide our scars rather than show them proudly as they are a part of your journey and they deserve to be shown rather than cover them.

We should respect our past that is depicted through these scars and be grateful that the present you is because of the past you had .
From pinterest
Imperfection is the real Perfection.

The perfection you seek is ideal but not the truth but the imperfection  you that is thriving to become the perfection is real.

From:lakesidepottery

In this art they seal the broken parts with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum.

There are different styles of kintsugi

Crack :-They use  gold dust and resin or lacquer to attach broken pieces with very less overlap or fill-in from missing pieces

Piece method :-In this  they add gold /lacquer in place of the missing fragments of the broken object

Joint call :- In this method a  fragment which not matching but is similarly shaped is used to replace a missing piece from the original broken object creating a patchwork effect.

Here mending  the pieces and making  an object  from it  gives them an unique aura,a special appearance and also gives the art form it's true meaning.
This art form is now an inspiration to modern artists ,this art form reduces the usage of things ,there is no wastage and infact it's as if the while mending a broken piece it's history ,the memories related to it everything is restored in the process.

“Underground city” it is a city which is literally as the name says underneath the ground.
So today we are going to discuss about a city called “Derinkuyu”.

It is an ancient multi-level underground city in Turkey.

It is the deepest excavated underground city in Cappadocia and a stunning wonder.

THE ROGAN ART

Hello guys! Today I am going to tell you guys about a 400 year old art .

Abdul Gaffur khatri’s family is ” the only family in the world” that is keeping this art alive for almost 8 generations.

This art is called “The Rogan Art”.

The palm of the hand is the essential tool for getting this painting technique just right.

These designs were once popular throughout India, but the rise of industrial textiles forced many artisans to leave the craft for more lucrative work.

Rogan means oil in Farsi”

From:roganartnirona

This art starts with castor oil.
It’s the base of the paint. So the art is named after it .

  • In this process the oil should be heated for two days until it becomes a honey-like texture.
  • It’s a dangerous process only a few can handle.
  • After it cools they combine the oil with pigment to create the paint. The above mentioned steps are only for making the paint now comes the main thing.
  • In this art the use of the hand gives the Rogan art it’s unique nature.
  • The paint needs to be swirled in the palm which in turn creates heat to thin it out after that the thread of paint is floated over the fabric using a metal rod.
From : The Indian express

Using the other hand underneath the cloth to guiding the paint and this process is completely free hand which makes this art more peculiar as the final design is to be anticipated and not ready made before.

Before it dries, they folds the cloth to print the design’s mirror image.which is timesaving and also the design will be symmetric.

From:livemint.com

This art is said to have originated from from Persia400 years ago to India and it was once popular on bedding and ceremonial clothing here in India.

But with the rise of mass-produced textiles in the ’80s,locals lost interest in these more expensive handmade pieces.

Many artisans couldn’t compete with mass manufacturers and dropped their crafts to find other work.

This beautiful art is also going extinct and covid-19 has the greatest impact on these artisans forcing them to leave this and find some other work for their livelihood as before they used to sell their pieces to foreigners but after the pandemic even that income has come to a halt.

We have to encourage them so that the art’s legacy can carry on and our next generations can also see this beautiful art.

Thankyou.
