Effects of Global Warming

Case study : Effect of global warming on the Sundarban National Park, West Bengal.
Methodology:

  • Description of the problem.
  • Cause of the problem.
  • Analysis of the problem.
  • Control of the problem.
  • ➡Introduction to the problem:
The Sundarbans provide important protection against storms and flooding for cities including
Kolkata, India, on the Bay of Bengal. But increasing global warming accelerates the sea-level
which adversely affects the Sunderbans. This would eliminate the protection they provide
against the region’s from the intense tropical storms.
  • Scientists project that under a high emissions scenario, relative sea-level rise is likely to
inundate most of the Sundarbans by mid-century, and could wipe them out by the end of
    the century.
  • Mangroves of the Sundarbans prevents the damage caused by the cyclones and storms.
  • ➡Cause of the problem:Global warming is one of the main reasons for the increased sea-level which adversely affects
  • the mangrove forests. Due to which reserved space is no longer a safe refuge for mangrove
forests and their associated species. And other national parks also face damage due to climate
change in the form of an increase in invasives, loss of vulnerable species, and changes in species composition. In a few cases, the biome as a whole faces extinction. Climate changes has already begun to have negative impacts on ecosystems and their families.

➡Analysis of the problem:

•Global Temperature Report for 2019 by Berkeley Earth:
This is the report by the Berkeley Earth (a California non-profit organization) which clearly
shows the continuous increase in temperature of earth in the past years.

•Ecosystem is a cycle which can only be run with balance. Any change in the climate causes
imbalance of the ecosystem which causes different natural disasters and global warming is one
of the biggest problems which we are facing nowadays.

➡Control of the problem:
The only solution to control any of the problems is to keep balance in all the things. The main
cause of the bad effects on the Sundarbans is global warming or we say continuous rise in the
temperature of the earth which causes rise in the sea-level, cyclones, flooding, storms etc..,
which adversely affects the reserved part of mangrove forests and other national parks.

Ways to prevent global warming:-

● Reduce⬇ Reuse⤴ Recycle🔄

● Power your home with renewable energy.

● Reduce excess use of water.
There is a solution for every problem. We just need to focus on the problem and prevent rise of

LESSONS TO LEARN FROM THE PANDEMIC

The coronavirus pandemic has brought drastic changes upon us. The world is caught up in an unprecedented situation and every new day brings us a ton of challenges. People in every remote corner of the world have been affected by the pandemic situation. It has become really hard to step out of the house without fear and a mask, let alone enjoy vacation getaways. International travel has been restricted to very important reasons only. Country after country, continent after continent is grappling under the deathly waves of COVID-19. Hospitals are brimming with COVID positive patients and finding a bed for a sick family member or relative has become harder than finding a diamond! There is shortage of basic resources everywhere and procuring basic common consumer and commercial commodities has also become quite difficult. The nation’s doctors are working 24 X 7 to save and cure the dying. Police forces and military squads have been deployed on duty day and night and these forces are patrolling the cities very vigilantly without the wink of an eye. People are rarely stepping out in the public unless really necessary. Public gatherings, cultural festivals and gatherings in all probable hotspots that the virus might spread in have been cancelled. The quintessential outdoor exercises and activities are cut off, and excessive care is being taken about infection via public contact. People are switching to at-home workouts and recreational activities, skipping any chance of going outside their safe abode. All the restaurant afficionados are moving towards cooking at home to reduce any miniscule risk of contamination due to any random tiny trigger. Such has become the awareness of people that they don’t dare roam out on the streets or touch their face or food without sanitising themselves. The employment sector has been hit hard by the pandemic. Millions of people around the world have lost their jobs. The circumstances are harder for the daily wage workers, as most of these families live hand to mouth.

In this chaotic situation, a lot has changed with respect to the thoughts, views and perspective of humans. People now seem to have developed a sense of humanity. Their response towards others’ problems and plight have softened. Maybe a part of this owes to this terrible pandemic, that people have realized how important it is to maintain people and relations, because it is in absolute necessity that we realise how these relations come to the rescue. Though the pandemic has difficulties made living difficult, it has nurtured people together and brought them closer, too. Some of the COVID learnings this far:

  • Life is precious. The fatal disease has made us realize the utter importance of life. It is really difficult to maintain a healthy life with good physical, stable mental and strong emotional health. The pandemic has taught us to handle anything patiently and maturely.
  • Every problem is an opportunity for a solution. The lockdown came with a number of adversities. Facing and tackling these issues has taught us that every problem has a solution and if not, at least an alternative way of approach.
  • Life blows us away with shocks, but also presents us with a coping mechanism. Though the effect of the advent of coronavirus has been stressful and at times depressing, it has also given us the strength to come to terms with the intensity of the situation and has subtly hinted towards finding solutions to daily problems.
  • When nature realizes it is time for a much-needed break, there is no disagreeing to that. Well, nature has its own ways of restoring and balancing itself, even if that means changing the course of the way the world works.
  • When problems strike hard, give time for things to heal. Initially, there was havoc everywhere regarding the world’s functioning. Slowly, as people accepted the situation and acted on it, they found solutions. Although these solutions are not totally efficient, they sure have bridged the gap to be good enough to suffice.

The world is full of problems and equal opportunities. If we choose to learn and grow out of these, we’ll live happier and contented. The pandemic has made us realize how important it is to live a fulfilling life, and we ought to make the fullest of every moment!

THE POWER OF SUPERFOODS

The world around us is filled with a lollapalooza of relishing, scrumptious dishes which titillate the taste buds of any person around. Earlier, plating any presentable dish was considered a herculean task and was mostly left to the lavish restauranteurs and pro-chefs or artistic people. However, the generation-z has amped up the presentation part of these dishes. So every corner of every city now has a number of eateries offering these delicious-looking dishes. But if we consider these food items from the nutrition perspective, how many of them will actually pass the barrier? Just as the current generation hoots for photogenic food pictures to post on their social media accounts or blog pages, people are on the lookout for healthy and nutritious dishes and food products which they can enjoy without any guilt. The time constraint of today’s world is another factor which demands for a quick, wholesome and healthy dish loaded with all the right ingredients which they can have on the go. This has led to innovation in the kitchens and research laboratories and modern novel food innovators have come up many options for right snacking and all-healthy-and-green options for the calorie conscious crowd. These unique foods are either fusion recipes of traditional dishes with healthier components, or alternative ingredient products of processed and packaged foods or totally new inventions. They are surely capturing the market with a steady and commendable speed, and have exactly eyed and presented to today’s consumers what they are looking for – a tasty food item with the goodness of the daily nutritional requirement and devoid of unhealthy food elements. Most of these superfoods are in ubiquitous use in traditional kitchens, but their potential was not really highlighted until their processed or revamped versions stocked the market shelves. These are simple and easily available. In this article, I have steered attention at a few of my favourite superfoods. Let’s have a look at them.

Moringa: Moringa has made headlines as the newly recognized superfood in town. Many of us have been eating the vegetable of this plant, colloquially known as the drumstick plant too. Moringa is easy to cultivate, as it doesn’t require much water and the plant grows fast. Studies show that this powerful plant is a great source of antioxidants and has anti-ulcer, analgesic and antihypertensive properties. Moringa powder has a mild, earthy taste and blends well with most of the food components to give a refreshing taste. It is high in protein, and contains a good amount of vitamins A and C. Usually, people add moringa to tea preparations or into smoothies for a nice, fresh and healthy drink.

Foxnuts: Foxnuts or makhana are the new snacking delicacy. Foxnuts are packed with myriads of healthy nutrients. Makhana is high in protein and fibre, and low in fats and calories. It also contains essential minerals like magnesium, phosphorous and potassium and is low in sodium. Foxnuts are abundant in antioxidants and help with revitalizing the skin. Foxnuts help in detoxifying the body. They are low in glycemic index. Makhana is usually consumed as a roasted and spiced up or seasoned snack.

We are supplemented with so many beneficial food ingredients in nature. With the intensity and quality of research today, we will discover many more such superfoods with great nutritional value. It is now our responsibility to dig deep into nature’s little secrets and find elements of precious value and use to us.

Climate Change: learning it again after 7 years

Global Warming vs. Climate Change | Resources – Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet
I learnt of Climate change and global warming in high school and just revisited it after 7 years.

On the 6th of June 2018, Texas was hit by a hail storm – in the middle of a summer. The Artic has lost more than 50% of its ice. Russia, US, Scandinavian countries and many more are already on their way to claim the resource rich seas. The average temperature of the world is higher than ever. The awe that people had when the skies were clearer during the near global lockdown due to COVID-19 was evident. The amazon rainforests are on fire, yes, they still are. The Canadian and European forests are burning faster and earlier than in recorded history. There have been cases of untimely forest fires in India as well, not to forget that a large part of Australian bush wilderness was lost in 2020. To add to this, a million cubic meters of the Gulf of Mexico is dead, Antarctica is browning, Yemen has lesser water than the already no water situation and many countries have brought green energy into their federal budgets. That’s a lot many things happening together.

When I was still a high school student, we had studied about all the important conventions and their goals with regards to the planet – the Kyoto protocol, the Montreal Protocol and so on. Then came the Paris Accords. To add to it was the information that global temperatures must be limited to a degree and half more than the 1950 level or else the planet will go berserk. I don’t know how old the new news is, but the news is that the scientists concluded that there is no way the goal can be achieved. And now we must try to limit the temperature at four and a half degrees above the previously said level to avoid the loss of agricultural lands across the planet.

That is a huge leap of faith for me and maybe for many more people who do not really invest even very small amounts of time to know the news that the planet has to give. We are too occupied with corruption, civil wars and international blame games. To be frank, I try not to waste water, electricity or even throw plastics or dump trash outside a bin or a designated area. I try to walk or cycle and as of now, just lie around in my room for most of the time. And the trouble is, the environmental problems are too large now. Because one, everyone doesn’t carry out the simple acts of being considerate towards the environment and two, the emissions by the rich and the ones not so rich but busy in producing what we consume are too big and have restrictions full of loop holes on them. The environment norms are yet not very sturdy. Sturdy is not strict, rigid and harsh. Sturdy are the ones that help. For instance, to implement rules eliminating the use of fossil fuels based vehicular fuel eliminates the exhaust the vehicles shall produce. However, in most countries, especially the most populated ones in Asia, South America and Africa still produce their energy using fossil fuels. How are these countries going to charge electric vehicles? Using fossil fuels. That in turn means the use of “dirty” energy is itself not eliminated. There are several more examples like the flawed system of Carbon credits and so on.

What can we do? Be more considerate to the world to reduce domestic output of toxins. And to reduce consumption of goods that are harmful to this planet. And google is a sufficient enough aid for knowing which products do that and which don’t.

Reason behind the hike of fuel prices

Recently, people have been facing lots of difficulties because of the sudden increase in petrol and diesel prices. Petrol prices crossed over Rs 100 per liter in several Indian cities over the past few weeks, putting pressure on household budgets. While the increase in prices of petrol and diesel can be explained by rising international fuel prices to some extent, the high incidence of taxes on these products also has an important role to play.

Tax effect on Fuel Prices

India meets its domestic oil demand mainly through imports. While international crude prices have risen sharply in the last six months, a major reason for the high selling price of petrol is the high levy of local taxes. The central government levies excise duty and cess on fuel, and states levy a value added tax. Taxes together constitute 58 per cent of the retail selling price of petrol and around 52 per cent of the retail selling price of diesel at present.

This means that if the price of petrol is Rs 100 per liter, taxes levied by the central government and state governments together account for Rs 58. Of this, the central government’s tax is Rs 32-33. The rest of the amount is levied by the state governments. The last time fuel prices in India surged was in 2010-2011 and 2013-2014. That too this was because the international crude oil prices rose sharp and touched the all time high.

Why government are reluctant to reduce taxes on fuel

The central government have been reluctant to reduce the fuel prices even when the international crude prices are rising because this tax is the main source for revenue. It has collected over 3.89 lakh crores in excise duty during 2020-21. This rate has grown a whopping 62 percent compared to 2.39 lakh crores in 2019-20, of which a majority is estimated to be from taxes and excise on petrol.

The increase in tax collections came despite the fact that petroleum consumption has been decreased by 9 percent due to the stoppage of movement on account of the covid-19 lockdowns. At that time, the government has decided to increase the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 10 and Rs 13 respectively. This decision came just after two months of the hike excise on petrol and diesel by Rs 3.

Inflation impact on Common Man

The rise in fuel prices has added additional pressure to India’s inflation, which crossed 6 percent in May. Earlier this month, the MPC had also flagged the impact of the high fuel prices on overall input prices. It had urged the central government and the state governments to cut taxes on petrol and diesel in a coordinated manner. India’s fuel inflation was at 11.6 per cent in May, as against 7.9 percent in April.

There are also concerns that an increase in fuel prices may have an adverse impact on excessive expenditure as households cut the latter out to accommodate higher fuel prices. As transportation is an important part in their daily life, there has been many protests to bring down the fuel prices which can be afforded by everyone.

PEER PRESSURE

Peer pressure refers to the pressure to follow societal norms and do what is right. Peer pressure is a significant issue that is frequently overlooked. When a girl or a boy reaches the age when they are regarded “ready” to marry, peer pressure plays a major impact. Peer pressure begins to act on someone who is not married according to society conventions. It’s a significant issue since many individuals, even if they don’t like it, do things out of peer pressure.

When graduates begin seeking for work, this is an example of peer pressure. When the majority of people work in mainstream organizations, a person who wants to go outside the box and do something unusual faces a lot of peer pressure. Children want you to purchase them toys or clothes so that they can be loved by their peers. Later in adolescence, individuals may feel pressured to participate in certain activities, such as dance or sports, because most of their peers do. Under the influence of the “popular” kids, they may desire to emulate anti-social habits like bullying, smoking, or even drugs.

Peer pressure has a major influence on a child’s behaviour during his or her adolescent years, as well as in later adulthood. Peer pressure that is healthy can be a motivator for doing well in school, athletics, and extracurricular activities. It may prove counterproductive for the individual if used excessively. Though peer pressure might be a motivation at times, it should never be permitted to override one’s particular preferences or inner real calling.

The only way to prevent aggressive behaviour among children as a result of peer pressure is to teach them how to say no when necessary and to stay away from peers who pressure them to do things they are uncomfortable with or that are potentially dangerous. They must spend time with other children who can resist peer pressure and should always seek the advice of an adult they trust if they are having difficulty resisting peer pressure. Parents and instructors should pay attention to their children and interact with them if they encounter any problems.

Effects Of Peer Pressure On Children And Strategies To Help Them Cope:

It is a natural human desire to want to fit in and be a part of a group that one admires or idolizes, especially during the formative years of adolescence when children want belonging, acceptance, and attention. However, rather than leading to more friends, this ambition is more often than not met with unwelcome pressure. Peer pressure is the term for this type of stress. It’s a form of societal pressure that nearly everyone encounters at some point in their lives. External stimulation in the form of peer pressure or internal motivation to follow one’s peers can both cause peer pressure.

Peer pressure is most prevalent throughout the adolescent years, when each individual undergoes numerous internal and external changes. Peers have an important role in a child’s growth, particularly during adolescence. Beginning in early childhood, peers have a strong impact that only grows stronger during adolescence.

“THE SOUL HAS BEEN GIVES ITS OWN EARS TO HEAR THING’S THAT THE MIND DOESNOT UNDERSTAND”

SOUL is immortal and lives on through people’s impressions. There is something inside of all human beings that lives on forever. Even when death is upon us, the soul of a person never dies. Thus, we arrive at the statement the soul is immortal. Immortal is something we people associate with ideas like people or gods, who can never die. Immortal is a very strong word because it means quite a bit to human life, and more importantly the soul.

The soul is the most precious part of the human because it is more important than life itself. Every living human being shares the same characteristic as other human beings by possessing a soul. The soul is even a labeled characteristic of people who have already died. The soul stays with a person for all of eternity. It is something that is grown with a person as they move through life. The purpose of life is to be able to grow your own soul. The soul of the dead is remembered through the living. When you finally leave something for good you want everyone and everything to have a good last impression of you. Exactly for this reason it is important to grow your soul and leave life with a last final hurrah.

There are many people, I’m sure, who stand out in our minds who have the greatest souls that we have ever encountered. This kind of person goes out of their way to please other people. They don’t do anything wrong, do positive things day in and day out, and most of all, are happy with what they have in life. They try and spread joy to others through themselves. They also take pride and joy into what they are doing. That’s what makes up your soul. The things and activities you do during your life. These are the things you are remembered by. Negative and positive things will stay with you even after you pass away…

SOULS DEFINITION :

Philosophical and religious systems have different meanings for soul but their theme is similar. Plato defines soul from his teacher’s perspective, “…an essence of living things, which decides how they behave, live and it is a separate, immortal occupant of the body” .Plato learnt under the tutelage of Socrates and they hold the same view concerning soul. The soul continually interacts with the body and mind hence defining people’s behavior and actions.

The mind interaction with the soul enables it to understand actions either temporarily or permanently. Aristotle defines the soul as the backbone of living things but it is not part of their physical body. Hillman views the soul as the “self-sustaining and imagining substrate upon which consciousness rests, and which makes meaning possible, events into experiences, is communicated in love”

Christian’s derivation of the soul is from the bible. Therefore, Christianity describes the soul as the centre aspect of humanity and other things created by God. However, the soul is separated from a person’s body. Hinduism maintains that the soul is the individual Self hence describes a person’s well being. On the other hand, Muslims describe the soul as the control of Allah in human beings. Therefore, when a person’s death is according to Allah, their soul is at rest.

EXISTENCE OF THE SOUL:

The soul is a permanent part of living things whether dead or alive. This explains the origin of ghosts. The spirits of the dead are souls of people roaming on earth to avenge their death. Consequently, people who kill others undergo haunting experiences from the victim’s souls. From the description of soul existing in human beings, I generally respect humanity. This is also a way to avoid the wrath of ghosts. The soul signifies the spirituality of a person hence the innermost aspect of life.

According to teachings of Roman Catholic Church on soul, I repent my sins to avoid God’s rejection or judgments in hell after death. Christianity also teaches on the origin of soul, its fate, and God’s expectations. Another characteristic of soul is its ability to be active when one falls asleep and it inactive when one is awake. The characteristic of the soul as life, person, appetite, mind, desire, emotion, and passion describes how I live.

The ability to learn everything knowable about the human soul through research on the human brain can describe personal behavior. Every person’s belief, whether religious or not enables an easy understanding of the soul. Personally, I believe that people have a soul that enables me to judge their characters.

Therefore, I choose friends after carefully studying their souls and their behavioral character therein. This also affects my interaction with the community at large whether at home, school or in any public place. The plausible existence of the soul is that, it determines who I am and the way I live.

Conclusion:

All life objects with a soul, defines their character and personal attributes. The world has ghosts; people believe that the soul lives on forever. Human beings’ souls determine their character, their way of life including how they carry out their daily wherever they go. In the traditional community, the souls or spirits hovering on earth were killed using fire to stop them from interfering with people’s lives.

Different Types Of Web Hosting: Which One Is Best For You?

Shared Hosting

If you want to know more about hosting, then read this article – What is Web Hosting? It’s Features, Types! Web Server

1. Shared Hosting –

Shared Hosting

In Shared Hosting, you share the hosting resources with other users. It involves a certain number of users who share a single server & hosts their website with a specific amount of disc space. All the user’s data is hosted on the same server. The website addresses of the users are placed in a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to protect the users from other users, malware, brutal codes or even others websites sharing the same server space.
In 2021, shared hosting services are run by more complicated servers and software systems that do not allow any downtime or interruptions in uptime.

2. Cloud Hosting –

Cloud Hosting

Cloud Hosting service has become very popular these days. However, its prices are high in the past few years, but in 2021, the prices get lower, hence it gives a chance to small businesses also come online. It is a set of services that are hosted in the cloud to provide users with an easy way to access data storage, online backup and more. In this type of hosting, a client needs to only access it over the Internet from a computer and a browser on a local network.
It hosts your website on a group of connected servers at the same time. The website data is stored in different servers at once. Hence, your site has greater security & reliability as compared to one server. If one server breaks then the other server takes its place so that the site visitors don’t notice any lack of continuity. Hence, cloud hosting gives you perfect uptime.

All-rounder Deepak chahar destroyed Lankans dreams in the 2nd ODI.

Chahar and bhuvaneshwar in the 2nd ODI

Lankans won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers minod Minod Bhanuka and Avishka Fernando added 59 runs in powerplay. Yazuvendra chahal broke this partnership and Minod 36(42) hit one delivery to Manish Pandey at midwicket and he made no mistake. On the very next ball, new man Bhanuka rakjpaksha edged the delivery to Ishan kishan and returned to pavilion with a golden duck.

Then, avishka Fernando and Dhananjay de selva continued the innings and added few runs between them. Avishka after reaching his fifty falled to Bhuvaneshwar,he scored 50 of 71. Deepak chahar got rid of Dhananjay 32 of 45 with a knuckle ball, shanaka 16 of 24 was bowled by chahal and Hasranga 8 of 11 was bowled over by chahar. Aslanka continued the scoreboard ticking and registered his maiden fifty and soon fall to Bhuvaneshwar,he scored 65 of 68. Karunaratne 44 of 33 landed some blows at end to take his side to 275/9. Bhuvaneshwar and chahal bagged 3 wickets each while deepak chahar took 2 wickets.

Chasing 275,Shaw and Dhawan opened the Indian innings and shaw hit 3 boundaries and was looking in good touch. Lankans introduced Hasranga and he got rid of shaw 13 of 11 with a googly. Kishan 1 of 4 soon followed with falling to Rajitha.

Dhawan 29 of 38 tried to carry the innings but Hasranga got better of him and he was strucked on pad and review got Lankans his wicket. Manish Pandey 37 of 31 , was striking well but he was unlucky to be run out. then, Hardik Pandya chipped one straight to midwicket to fall for a duck. Suryakumar Yadav continued the fight at the other end and scored a fluent fifty. Krunal Pandya sttruggled but managed to hang in there. Lakshan Sandakan trapped Suryakumar 53 of 44 leg-before-wicket and few overs later,Hasaranga castled Krunal 35 of 54 . Victory seemed easy to Lanka at that time and match was in their control.

After, that Bhuvneshwar and Chahar took the game deep. Chahar hit a massive six off Sandakan in the 43rd over and followed it up with two more boundaries in the next over to reach his fifty. Some streaky boundaries added to Sri Lanka’s woes and eased India’s path to victory eventually as the match was completed with five balls to spare. Bhuvaneshwar scored 19 of 28 and Chahar made 69 of 82. For his all-round performance Deepak chahar was given ‘Player of the match’ award.

Hasranga bagged 3 wickets and Rajitha,Shanaka and Sandakan got 1 wicket each.

T-20 world cup is near and India in chahar may have discovered an All-rounder. We’ve seen him landing few blows in IPL, but it was new for us in Indian Jersey. India will look to clean sweep the Lankans while Lankans will play for their pride in the last match,as they’ve nothing to loose now.

“LOVE IS BEAUTY TO TASTE. THE CREATION OF BEAUTY IS ART”

God has created man with five important senses to help him relate with his environment. These senses help man to relate the information that he is getting outside the body to the brain which is the chief controller of the activities of the body. According to Microsoft Encarta, Sense Organs, in humans and other animals, are faculties by which outside information is received for evaluation and response. This is accomplished by the effect of a particular stimulus on a specialized organ, which then transmits impulses to the brain via a nerve or nerves. Aristotle classified five senses: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch.

The writers of this paper are going to focus their attention on one of these five sense organs classified by Aristotle, which is the SENSE OF TASTE. The researchers of this paper will briefly look at this topic from three different dimensions. This involves biological, philosophical and biblical view of the sense of taste.

𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄

According to Science, the sense of Taste is one of the five special senses in humans and other animals, by which four gustatory qualities (sweetness, sourness, saltiness, and bitterness) of a substance are distinguished. Taste is determined by receptors, called taste buds, the number and shape of which may vary greatly between one person and another. In general, women have more taste buds than men. A greater number of taste buds appear to endow a greater sensitivity in the mouth. Your mouth contains around 10,000 taste buds, most of which are located on and around the tiny bumps on your tongue. Every taste bud detects five primary tastes:

  • Sweet
  • Bitter
  • Salty
  • Umami
  • Sour

salts of certain acids (for example monosodium glutamate or MSG) Each of your taste buds contains 50-100 specialized receptor cells. Sticking out of every single one of these receptor cells is a tiny taste hair that checks out the food chemicals in your saliva. When these taste hairs are stimulated, they send nerve impulses to your brain. Each taste hair responds best to one of the five basic tastes.

𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

  1. Why do we need the sense of taste in our body?

Answer: The simple reason why we need the sense of taste is because it protects our body. – Your sense of taste protects you from unsafe foods. If you ate poisonous or rotten foods, you would probably spit them out immediately, because they usually taste revolting. That way, you stop them from entering your stomach. -Your sense of taste also helps you maintain a consistent chemical balance in your body. Liking sugar and salt for example, satisfies your body’s need for carbohydrates and minerals. Similarly, eating sour foods such as oranges and lemons supplies your body with essential vitamins.

2. What then happens to a person who has lost his sense of taste?

The person’s body definitely is open to dangers or any type of problem or diseases through what he takes in. He is not safe at all in his body system.

SPARE TIME – NOT GADGETS TIME!!!

First, let me start my article with a question. What will you do in you spare time or free time these days? Everyone would answer that since it is pandemic time we are in home using gadgets in our free time right. Now, this has been the trend these days. Okay, let me put it this way. What will you do in your free time before pandemic. The answer is gadgets only. We have been immersed in the world of gadgets these days. What is a leisure time, guys? It is to make yourselves and your mind to set free of thoughts. But how can we say, using mobile phone in free time set your mind free? Just think about it. Now, let me tell you about the spare time these days and spare time during the late 20’s.

I think the 90’s kids and early 2k kids are the ones who enjoyed their spare time carefree even without a mobile phone. Because the environment and generation they grew up is like that. There will be only button phones those days. These kids in spare time, if they are farming family, those kids would do farming related works such as to feed the cattle, goats etc. If they have no work in their home, they would go out early and come home late in the evening. They would even be scolded those days. Do you have any idea how they spend their time?

They spent their time by playing, cricket, kabbadi, etc., but most of them would play outdoor games. They used to swim in the well, catch fish and eat, roam around the area they live, and so on. Girls would spend their time by playing indoor games like dayam, chess, snake and ladders etc., because most of the girls are not allowed to go out too far. Parents those days never worried about them. But think about it now?

These 2k kids might not know the craze for icecream. Since, I’m an early 2k kid, I know how I waved for eating ice-cream. Also, the ice-cream van would come once or twice a week only. The kids would please their mom or dad, to buy that icecream. The taste in the icecream that we craved for is shown in everyone’s face. Then, if it’s some function or some ritual days, there will always a moving toy shop. The kids would torture their parents to buy them plastic mobile phone, balloon, remote control car etc., The happiness lies in these things. Sorry, 90’s kids, I think I have recalled your past beautiful memories, right? There won’t be private mobile phones for everyone. This is the major advantage I would say. Orelse, will you have those unforgettable memories? Let me ask you one thing. Those 90’s and early 2k kids, did you miss those days?

Now, when we come to talk about the life of children these days. Let me start my talk with a question. If your mom asks you to call neighbour aunt or uncle for something whose house is 200m away. What will you do? I would say you will definitely use your mobile phone to call them. But things aren’t like this those days. The kids now-a-days lives a sophisticated life since childhood so that they don’t know how to face a problem. The kids these days are very sensitive. When you parents say not to use mobile phone often, definitely you would scold them or pick a small fight with them. Parents now-a-days worry about their children so much. They fear what to do if you go in a wrong path. Most of the children won’t go out to play these days. If you ask them, they would say I have allergy or some other silly reasons. Because their entertainment lies in those gadgets like mobile phone, laptop, etc. I didn’t oppose the use of mobile phones but use it to a certain extent and don’t get addicted by that. There may be a chance that the children would go in wrong way while using these gadgets. There are negatives equal to the positives of the gadgets. The games that kids play now-a-days is free fire, pubg, ludo, etc. But they don’t know about indoor and outdoor games. I’m sure that the kids these days would definitely miss their childhood days and that would be the thing they regret in their life. So, kids make your childhood memorable dears!!

Use gadgets limitedly

Spare time is to relax yourselves and make you mind set free from other thoughts or continuous work. These facts fits for elders too! As I said, Since it is like a debate, I will stand on the side of spare time those days (late 20’s). This doesn’t mean that I am against gadgets, but they are just for need. Those gadgets are not life. Okay, we have gadgets now. What will you do one day without gadgets? Guys, you must also know to spend time without gadgets. I hope you will think better and will live a healthy and happy life. Spare time is relaxing yourself not engaging yourselves in gadgets!!!
