How can one develop reading habits?

The basic reasons why reading is important is that it helps in the growth of of emotional, mental and psychological aspects of a human behaviour. Every book you read would give you an opportunity to learn new ideas and implement them in your day to day life. Reading not only makes you intelligent but also smarter. For an author, writing a book takes a hell lot of efforts and dedication. He passes through several pains to come up with a single book. As readers we gain years of experiences by reading them. Reading improves our focus and concentration. Many of us spent our time surfing through the internet, watching videos and reading unnecessary memes. This is the reason people are losing focus. Thus, reading is an effective way to gain focus back. It helps in the discovery of yourself. When you read a book, you connect to various experiences and emotions. This not only makes you engrossed into the books but also guides you to to act in particular ways when you face such situations in life.

Reading also leads to the improvement of your emotional health. While reading a book you encounter many emotions such as happiness, anger, sorrow, surprise etc. But at the end, we always wish our hero to win. Your memory is also enhanced as you come across many words which you need to remember. U tend to become more creative and self motivated.

There are many reasons to be listed that why one should read books on a daily basis. Now, here are the ways to develop reading habits:

  • The foremost step to start developing reading habits is to stop looking it as a chore. Start reading few pages everyday and steadily increase the number as you begin to enjoy the story. It will take time to be able read 500 pages at a stretch.
  • Choose your genre of books such as fiction, non-fiction, fantasy or biography. It is better to know your taste of reading first rather than getting them halfway done and leaving.
  • Start small. Reading short stories can be a a very good start for the budding readers.
  • It is not necessary to complete a book till the end if you are not not finding it interesting. You may better leave it if you think that the book is not worth of your time.
  • Don’t start reading a book having tough language. Obviously, you can take help of a dictionary but better start with those books which have simple vocabulary. Gradually you can move on to to reading such books.
  • Paper is no more exciting. You can read from Amazon’s Kindle having millions of books of various genre.
  • Read the books on a daily basis. Do not pressurise yourself if you don’t feel like reading a book for long hours. Start with reading 20-30 minutes daily and then gradually increase over time.
  • Try to read before going to bed. This would not only improve your mental health but also would provide you a sound sleep.
  • Read at quiet places where there are no disturbances at all.
  • You can also keep a short diary with you to make notes for further references.

Clarity in confusion

If there is no clarity in confusion then there should be no confusion in clarity. If it is not clear that doesn’t mean it is not clear that meant to confuse you to make it appear as a confusion. If you think it as a confusion it definitely becomes as a confusion because they make it appear look like confusion and tend to make you confuse the clarity that you have about the confusion. There should be clarity in confusion which no longer makes confusion as confusion and make us clear about the confusion.

“Confuse the confusion so that the confusion becomes clarity.” If confusion can no longer confuse your confusion then there will be a chance to clear the confusion. If we aren’t clear about something there will be a large chance to be confused because there is no clarity. If we have a clarity then there will be no chance to get confused. If we get confused then there are chances to get clarity. If we don’t confuse over confusion,we can get clarity over confusion and can make confusion in clarity into clarity of confusion.

Confusion of confusion will definitely confuse the confusion and make us path of clarity disappear. The confusion replicates before the clarity comes into play. That makes clarity to get confused and try to make confusion as clarity and clarity as confusion and make confusion look so confused to know what confusion is. In order to stop it we need to get clarity before the confusion turns into confusion of confusion. For that try to confuse the confusion so that it gets confused and gets clarity because the confusion is in confusion and gets clarity over confusion by thinking clarity as confusion.

If we are clear about confusion then we can clear the confusion with the confusion itself. For that we should get clarity about confusion. To get clarity about confusion we should know about confusion and become confusion. If we try to confuse the confusion by becoming confusion it definitely doubts about confusion and try to get the clarity about it and in order to make it happen, it becomes as a clarity in the process. This is how we turn confusion into clarity by having clarity in confusion.

Confusion appears to confuse you and when we realise the fact that it just appears to do so and when we try to make what it is making us to feel then we can create the appearance of confusion. No one can create the confusion because it is not real. Confusion is just an illusion of clarity. No one gets confused, it’s only the lack of clariry which makes confusion. If confusion is clear then there is no confusion. If we have clarity over clarity then there is no need to have clarity over confusion because confusion never comes into the play.

If you are confused with the clarity that I gave on confusion then definitely you should follow the steps that I mentioned in order to get clarity in confusion.

HOW TO WALK CONFIDENTLY

Everyone like those guys who are great at conversations, the content of conversations is only about 10 — 20%. Everything else is body language and appearance. That’s why I will reveal how to walk with confidence. How to make the first impression on someone that they start perceiving you as an alpha male. Everybody likes a person who walks with self-confidence, because that way they feel more confident as well. Being playful, charming or naturally charismatic works wonders in attracting gorgeous women.

But for those things to work, you need to work hard That’s why I’m going to offer you 5 tips to form your WALK high-status:

1. among the most important mistakes guys do when they’re walking is that they look down all the time… They’re taking note of music and that they don’t even notice it, but on a subconscious level, this is often saying to people around you that you’re not having your shit straight. Your life sucks. It shows that either something awful happened to you, or you’re just generally unhappy, and NO girl wants to affect that. So… Look Up It sounds simple and super easy, but you’ll need to unlearn the bad habits, and then practice the new habits…

2. Shoulders back: this is often like an extension to the point. Basically, if you’re walking together with your shoulders front, it comes naturally that you simply walk like an old man and appearance down all the time. BUT if you set your shoulders back and you prop your chest just a touch bit as you walk, you get an entire another impression.

3. Do not keep your hands in your pockets it makes you look guarded closed off and you don’t seem confident.

4. Slight movement of upper torso This for many people comes naturally at the gym, but they’re not doing it when they’re walking… But basically, as you walk slowly, you usually want your upper torso and shoulders slightly swinging front and back… It’s like upper a part of your body is that one part and below waist is the other part… So when you’re walking, you would like those two parts to maneuver separately but not move an excessive amount of within it… Look how James Bond’s naturally moving his shoulders as he walks… It makes him look important… High-status… It’s like he’s showing off just for a bit… Now, this is much more basic than anything else I’ve told you, but I want you to pay attention to your torso because doing this moderately is very attractive to women… Now, as you practice this, EXAGGERATED… and accept the very fact that you’re going to look dumb ahead of the mirror, but once you play peacock ahead of the mirror, it easier and sooner comes naturally…. The next one is an old-time standard…

5. Walk your pace: Nowadays, there’s this trend that the more fast you walk, the more productive you are feeling , but with attraction, it’s just the other . The faster you walk, the more you appear to be you’re not on the top of things of your life. So, watch Marlon Brando walk. He’s got his smirk, he’s got his hands… and he walks very slow. Same for James Bond… Or every other status character. They all walk their own pace, which is typically just slightly slower than usual, because that creates them seem more important…

It includes posting, sending or sharing negative, Unpleasant or false information about an individual for causing humiliation and character assassination. It also involves posting threats, a victim’s personal information, hate speech or sexual remarks to someone on the internet.

Types of Cyber Bullying

An awareness of the different types of Cyberbullying is important. This helps parents and young adults to report cyber bullying and adopt various measures for the same. Following are some of the common types of cyber harassment:

• Trolling has become increasingly prevalent in these days and is the most common form of bullying that happens in an online community. This is done to evoke a reaction or disruption, or sometimes, even for personal amusement.

Cyberstalking is another type of bullying or harassment which involves electronic communications to stalk a victim; this may tend to be threatening to the victim.

Cyber bullying in India had increased prominently since availability of affordable data services and social media presence has increased. According to a research by Symantec, almost 8 out of 10 individuals are exposed to different types of internet bullying in India. Most of the victims are generally women and teenagers.

Special Concerns

with the widespread presence of digital forums, social media websites, posts, comments, content shared by individual can be seen by strangers as well as acquaintances. Whatever content the individual shares online, be it personal or public, creates a kind of public record of their activities, views and behaviour. this can basically represents their personality, which may be accessible to schools, employers, college, clubs, and other institutions who may be researching an individual now or in the future. Cyberbullying can tamper the reputation of everyone involved, not just the the person being bullied but also those who are participating in the bullying.

What can you do?

Ask for help: if you are experiencing any distress related to online bullying, reach out to someone for help. It maybe your friend, relative, colleague or someone you trust.

Use the technology to cut off the Bully: almost every social media site allows you to report or block someone. They also enable you to report inappropriate content or behaviour.

Protect your Accounts: passwords are your private information. never share your passwords with anyone no matter who the person might be. Password protect your phone so that no one can use it for impersonation.

Report Cyber Bullying: The Ministry of Women and Child Development launched a helpline to report cyber bullying/harassment, cyber defamation, especially for women and children as they are subject to cyberbullying the most. most institutions also have special faculty of development whom you may report to, about the bullying.

Wake up, your child is going to do suicide

“If my parents understood my dreams than today I won’t be stealthy sitting on roof and writing this blog.”

So, you are a parent, if not than at one stage of life you’ll be ( but for now just read and share it with a parent). Every parent has great GREAT expectations from their offspring and sometimes that desire becomes so pressurizing that it takes the toll of the life of that little angel.

How many of you asked your child what he or she wants to become well many of you haven’t and in a rare case if you have, I am sorry to say that you didn’t took that seriously.

A child of 21st century is none less than the most busiest person on Earth, schooling, coaching, homework and much more trouble some tasks are a part of their life and after all that when they get the night time to rest, they wander in the land of dreams; the world that’s their own, they make ambitions and set goals for their life.

But do you even know the amount of grief and misery that your child feels when you say a crisp clear NO to them when they beg you to let them achieve what they want ?

Let me talk in statistics. Globally Around 65000 kids committed suicide in 2019 just because their parents didn’t allowed them to study in the field of their choice.

Just imagine the condition of a student who passed school working hard so that he could take admission in his dream college. But guess what, his CARING parents deny him that because the college is in another city . WTF, like seriously, we kids work our ass whole childhood to satisfy your marks hungry taste buds and what we get in return, a big rejection on our dreams.

As a parent your worries and thinking of well being of ur kid is justified. But you have to understand that the dreams and choice of your child also matters, afterall it’s them who would be studying and if they want to pursue a field of their choice then why deny it to them and become the reason of them going into depression or at worse, commuting suicide.

Parents, you have to understand this, your child knows his interests more than you or anyone else. Please, you just can’t put an end on their life by making them give up on their dreams.

Just go and talk to them, understand what ur child wants. Otherwise the day is not far when your child will cry silently in night and will fear to meet eye with people and will curse his very existence like I do. Please parents, wake up .

Benefits of waking up early

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”, a very famous quote by Benjamin Franklin which I am sure we all have heard of but most of the people do not apply this in real life. Amid lockdown and with comparatively less work to do, our bodies do not feel tired enough to sleep early. But once you start waking up early and following an organised sleep schedule, your body will feel good, your mood will be better and people around you will be able to sense it.

After talking to a few teenagers, it was seen that almost everyone’s sleep schedule has been poor. Usually people are awake until 5 am and it is their normal routine pattern these days.

The main reason for sleeping late is the inactivity in the body. As everyone has been home, we do not do much physical activity and our bodies do not feel tired enough to doze off early at night. Another reason is the constant use of the phone all night where time passes so quickly. Before they notice or feel sleepy, it is 5 am.

Here are a few health benefits of going to sleep on time and waking up early-

  1. Body feels fresh and energetic: Once you start waking up early you will have an immense sense of pleasure. It makes the body feel fresh and energetic and you will not feel lazy instead you will be full of energy. You will also feel happier and healthier as your body is more alert in the morning.
  2. More organised schedule: Waking up early will make your schedule more organised and you will have a positive outlook towards your day and everyone around you. It is healthy to have an organised schedule as you will have more time in the day and you can be more productive.
  3. Healthy eating: When you wake up early, you will have time for breakfast. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day that no one should miss. Once you have your breakfast on time, you will automatically have rest of your meals on time too. Eating healthy and eating on time is essential for a good and healthy body.
  4. Morning is comparatively more peaceful, bright and positive: Many people prefer fewer distractions while working, waking up early and doing your work is a good way as mornings are peaceful, calm and distraction free.
  5. More productivity: When you wake up early, your day feels big, meaning more time to do things. You can also take out time for things you thought you did not have time for. You can work on yourself by doing some exercise, as you have time extra now. Exercising also makes your body healthy and keeps you fit.
  6. Mind feels healthy: It is important for our body as well as our mind to sleep and wake up on time. Once you try waking up on time. You will notice your mind feels healthy and you will automatically refrain yourself from negativity.

Re-evolution 2020?

Why did I end up keeping a question mark at the end of the title? Is it in order to start my introduction with a question mark by questioning the title or which made me to write this sentence. The answer to this question is a question. Indian Education Future turns out to be a question mark and remains to be question for more far. Our future lies in the past and the past remained as a past and hence future will remain as a future. Past shouldn’t be past in order to make future as a future. Past should change so that our future will not change. Our children’s future can be ours but theirs shouldn’t be theirs which will be cycle and makes the future to be seen only in future’s future.

The change to change the educational system should change which is only possible by changing the mind sets of unchanged. This is only possible by changing the methods of bringing the awareness. Education is the only weapon which can change the change(money) of the unchanged.” Uneducated should be treated as a criminal and illiteracy must be treated as a crime which is the only way to increase the literacy rates”. Education should be mandatory which makes them to read since the only option left to them is it. Fear is the thing which wemake them to feel and the rest is automatically done. Fear for benefit will benefit the society. Before they overcome this fear at least they could have finished secondary education. As soon as they realise it, we make them to understand the importance of education. “If you can’t love to study, fear will make it so”. The feelings are different but the feeling is same. To make the future possible we should take action in the present.

Revolutionary decisions must be made in order to bring a revolution else the only thing we hear about it is “sun is revolving around the sun”.The harsh decisions that you take will make them hard and in turn shine like a diamond. Education can bring the change and in turn make the change like a unbreakable chain. If good has to happen then making bad decisions to make it is not at all a bad decision. Severe tax should be impelled on the parents who are not willing to send their children for the study and that tax will be utilised for the education of that child.

E-LEARNING-CHANGING THE WAY OF EDUCATION.

ABOUT

In this era of Technological boom, e-learning has placed knowledge right at our finger tips, no matter where we are and at what time of the day we wish to study. Literature, Science, Math, Geography, History – you name it; we have it on the display screen of our tablets or phones at the swipe of our fingers.

Just one smart device and some nominal charge for internet connection would take us from the primary level of learning to even college education!e-learning doesn’t In this era of Technological boom, e-learning has placed knowledge right at our finger tips, no matter where we are and at what time of the day we wish to study.

E-learning doesn’t differentiate between a slow learner or a studious one because it helps set up an individualized pattern according to the pace of every student. It doesn’t even matter what our life situation is or how old we are, and is an affordable option for people who can’t meet expenses to purchase lots of books or enroll for tuition or coaching classes website.

WHAT E-LEARNING PROVIDES?

Online learning provides us with an audio-visual treat and 3-dimensional perception that help us comprehend concepts in a much better way. We are open to taking tutorials not only from Indian teachers, but also from people belonging to different parts of the world.

We also get to divide study timings as per our convenience. Literally, no more carrying around books and bags – just sit, stand and walk while learning!

Yet, online learning tempts one to browse through various subjects on a superficial level, rather than going into deep study. This practice, in turn, leads to insufficient understanding of certain basic concepts which might affect our advanced learning.

This is because most online courses do not follow a structured pattern or work assessment. So some students might fail to meet the expected standard of education.

Also, using technology has its own issues like slow internet connection, power shortage crises and cyber security concerns.

If learners use e-learning software, they require devices that are only compatible with that software which is quite a costly investment, at least initially.

One ought to admit though , communication via human connections is a different pleasure altogether, that cannot be substituted by electronic devices in which computer proficiency is essential.

E-LEARNING OVER CLASSROOM LEARNING :

In traditional classroom settings, getting to share ideas with friends, playing with them during break-time, spending some time with nature and listening to encouraging talks from elderly teachers do develop kids’ social skills and empathetic approach.

We cultivate mutual respect and take responsibility for our actions and become better individuals through human connections.

Speaking of health issues, prolonged screen time and sedentary habits eventually lead to dry eyes and obesity. Unhealthy sitting postures cause backache and stiff neck too.

When bored with studies, students play online games and watch inappropriate stuff that could lead them to bad ways or unhealthy lifestyle. Online addiction has been lately categorized as a mental disorder.

In short, e-learning can either shape us into brilliant personalities or can degrade us to lazy and indifferent individuals, depending on our responsible usage & proper supervision of students by adults

  1. Plan, Plan & Plan

A lot has changed as per the new guidelines, so it’s best to plan ahead. As per the new rule, you have to reach the airport at least 2 hours in advance, as opposed to the earlier 40 minutes cut off. Also keep in mind, how you will be travelling to the airport as public transport will not be easily available.

  1. Be Vigilant About Your Hygiene & Safety

Now I know that this one isn’t easy. We’ve never had to live or travel in a time with a highly infectious virus. So the best thing to do is not let your guard down. Start from the basic level and ensure that you are packed well. In an ideal scenario, ensure that you do not have to buy anything from a shop or from the airport. Make sure you have a mask, sanitizer and gloves easily accessible in your handbag. Ensure that you take maximum protection while heading to the airport and leaving your destination airport. You can never be too careful.

  1. Pack Only One Hand Bag & One Carry On Bag . As per the new rules, only one hand bag and one cabin luggage is allowed. So make sure you pack light and pack efficiently. Only carry what you need. Also remember, to carry a handbag that is not so heavy that you have to leave it on the floor of the airport. Another important point to note is that metal & plastic are better breeding grounds for viruses. So ensure that you carry a bad that is made of fabric instead of metal.
  2. Rethink Your Airport Look

Well, remember when airport looks were all the rage? You’re probably going to have to rethink that look now since the new look is all about hazmat suits, masks, sanitizers and gloves. As part of the new guidelines, just before you board the flight you have to compulsorily mask up and suit up to prevent infection and the spread of it. Wear comfy clothes underneath your protective gear and ideally pick a hazmat suit that you can dispose off with ease once you reach your destination.

  1. Eat Well Before The Flight/Carry Food

As per the new guidelines no meals will be served onboard the flight, so do ensure that you either eat well before the flight or carry your own food that you can eat after the flight.

  1. Let Your Loved Ones Know When You Are Travelling

We are not asking you to take permission, but do inform your friends and family about your travels and ideally do keep a backup option for stay and help at the destination you will be visiting. Mark your emergency contacts clearly.

  1. Carry Enough Cash & Have Ready Finance Available

No, we are not asking you to carry a briefcase full of money like in those old Bollywood films, but do ensure that you have both some liquid cash available with you and some easily available money in the bank. In case you do have to be quarantined or in the unfortunate situation that you get infected, ensure you have enough money for treatment and for stay.

How is COVID-19 affecting our mental health?

The COVID-19 outbreak shocks the entire world. Its impact on us is so powerful that it not only affects our physical health but puts strain on our mental health as well. Our constant irritation, worry and fear are natural and predictable reactions to the uncertain pandemic that the entire world is in right now.

In a pandemic like this, we have to stay home to protect our families and ourselves. But have you noticed it’s impact on our mental health?

The virus has shown its impact on many people who were already struggling and going through mental health problems such as depression, stress, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and many others. This epidemic has also affected people who were mentally fit. It is very essential for us to stay calm in a situation like this.

As we are staying home and looking at the same four walls in our house everyday, it is quite easy for our minds to fluctuate and think about things which are of less importance, which can increase the tension. To avoid this situation of over-thinking, one can engage themselves into doing something productive, this is the best time to bring out your inner chef or start a new hobby.

It is important to be updated and aware of the happenings around the world but the constant repetition of one issue can also create tension in one’s mind. To avoid this, binge watch some series or re-watch some of your favourite movies or read that book you have been wanting to, but never had time.

Here are a few precautions to reduce the stress, anxiety and other related issues, caused by this pandemic.

WHO suggests, to reduce the amount of news we are in-taking about COVID-19 and to only take news from reliable sources.

Forbes suggests, to create a routine for your daily activities. “With the closures of businesses and schools, creating a go-forward plan for you and your family will help keep your mind at ease. This could mean creating an at-home routine and schedule for remote work amid social distancing,” says Dr. Mimi Winsberg, co-founder and chief medical officer of Brightside.

BBC suggests, to have breaks from social media and mute things which are/can be triggering. And to wash your hands but not excessively. For people with OCD and anxiety, being told to constantly wash your hands can be difficult to hear.

Talk  to someone who might help you in your problems or take help from an expert. We are all in this together.

Stay in contact with your friends and family through social media and take help from them if you feel anxious or sad.

Exercising is one of the ways to keep your body fit and it also helps in reducing stress, anger and frustration. Also, practicing deep breathing or meditation are also great ways to reduce stress and anxiety. Deep breathing helps you regulate your emotions by activating your parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) which helps slow the heart rate and restore the feeling of calm, tells Dr Vincent. https://bit.ly/2YCGHmb  Here are some breathing exercises you can do, that can help you relax.

During this time, being productive is a good idea but somewhere it can also put more pressure in one’s mind. Remember, being productive is a choice and not a necessity. You must do what makes you happy.
