This can take a lot of time from your day-to-day activities. To become an event planner you need to put forth a lot of energy and time.

  1. The first tip and the most important one is that you need to get in contact with some of the best supplies. You need to have a business contract and connection with many suppliers so that you can offer the best to your clients. Remember when you have the best suppliers; your reputation will be excellent.

Your personality and the way you handle things makes a huge difference in being a successful event coordinator or an okay planner.

History Of C Language

There are many programming languages in use today, one of which is C. There are many offshoots of the C programming language, including Objective-C, C++, and C#. None of these are the same language.
THE BEGINNING:
The C programming language came out of Bell Labs in the early 1970s. According to the Bell Labs paper The Development of the C Language by Dennis Ritchie, “The C programming language was devised in the early 1970s as a system implementation language for the nascent Unix operating system. Derived from the typeless language BCPL, it evolved a type structure; created on a tiny machine as a tool to improve a meager programming environment.” Originally, Ken Thompson, a Bell Labs employee, desired to make a programming language for the new Unix platform. Thompson modified the BCPL system language and created B. However, not many utilities were ever written in B due to its slow nature and inability to take advantage of PDP-11 features in the operating system. This led to Ritchie improving on B, and thus creating C.

The development of C was to become the basis for Unix. According to the Bell Labs paper, “By early 1973, the essentials of modern C were complete. The language and compiler were strong enough to permit us to rewrite the Unix kernel for the PDP-11 in C during the summer of the year.” This now meant that C was becoming a strong language that could, and would be, implemented across many systems. By the middle of the 1970s, the C-based Unix was used in many projects within the Bell System as well as “a small group of research-oriented industrial, academic, and government organizations outside [Bell Labs]”. In 1978, Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie published The C Programming Language, which would serve as the language reference until a formal standard was adopted. Five years later, the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) formed the committee, X3J11, to establish the formal standard of C. The C standard was ratified as ANSI X3.159-1989 “Programming Language C”. This was the first formal standard of C. Currently, we are on the fourth standard of C, known as C18 as it was published in June of 2018

Over time, C began to be used in personal computers for developing software applications and other purposes.
The first change (even if only a little) came when the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) formed a committee in 1983 to standardize C. After a review of the language, they modified it a little so that it was also compatible with other programs that preceded C. So the new ANSI standard came into being in 1989, and is known as ANSI C or C89. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has also contributed to the standardization of C.
Over time, C has evolved as it has added some significant features like memory management, functions, classes and libraries to its rich feature set. C is being used in some of the biggest and most prominent projects and products in the world.
C has also influenced the development of numerous languages such as AMPL, AWK, csh, C++, C–, C#, Objective-C, Bit C, D, Go, Java, JavaScript, Julia, Limbo, LPC, Perl, PHP, Pike, Processing, Python, Rust, Seed7, Vala and Verilog.
USES TODAY :
According to Toptal, UNIX operating systems are written in C and most of Linux is also in C. Also databases such as Oracle Database, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and PostgresSQL are at least partially written in C. C is the basis of many system kernels. Other programming languages, like Python and Perl, use compilers or interpreters that are written in C.
C has changed over the years and is still a common language to use in lower level programs, like kernels. But it is also used for many applications ranging from device drivers to other programming languages’ compilers or interpreters. The language also made way for C++, Objective-C, C#, and many more C-based languages that each have their own speciality.

OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

The “Solar system”

There are many planetary systems like ours in the universe, with planets orbiting a host star. Our planetary system is named the “solar” system because our Sun is named Sol, after the Latin word for Sun, “solis,” and anything related to the Sun we call “solar.”

Our planetary system is located in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy. Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity — the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, dwarf planets such as Pluto, dozens of moons and millions of asteroids, comets and meteoroids. Beyond our own solar system, we have discovered thousands of planetary systems orbiting other stars in the Milky Way.

10 Need-to-Know Things About the Solar System

1>ONE OF BILLIONS

Our solar system is made up of a star, eight planets and countless smaller bodies such as dwarf planets, asteroids and comets.

2>MEET ME IN THE ORION ARM

Our solar system orbits the center of the Milky Way Galaxy at about 515,000 mph (828,000 kph). We’re in one of the galaxy’s four spiral arms.

3>A LONG WAY ROUND

It takes our solar system about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center.

4>SPIRALING THROUGH SPACE

There are three general kinds of galaxies: elliptical, spiral and irregular. The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy.

5>GOOD ATMOSPHERE(S)

Our solar system is a region of space. It has no atmosphere. But it contains many worlds—including Earth—with many kinds of atmospheres.

6>MANY MOONS

The planets of our solar system—and even some asteroids—hold more than 150 moons in their orbits.

7>RING WORLDS

The four giant planets—and at least one asteroid—have rings. None are as spectacular as Saturn’s gorgeous rings.

8>LEAVING THE CRADLE

More than 300 robotic spacecraft have explored destinations beyond Earth orbit, including 24 astronauts who orbited the moon.

9>LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

Our solar system is the only one known to support life. So far, we only know of life on Earth, but we’re looking for more everywhere we can.

10>FAR-RANGING ROBOTS

NASA’s Voyager 1 is the only spacecraft so far to leave our solar system. Four other spacecraft will eventually hit interstellar space.

Spacecraft are Headed into Interstellar Space:-

Five spacecraft have achieved enough velocity to eventually travel beyond the boundaries of our solar system. Two of them reached the unexplored space between the stars after several decades in space.

  • Voyager 1 went interstellar in 2012 and voyager 2 joined it in 2018. Both spacecraft are still in communication with Earth. Both spacecraft launched in 1977.
  • NASA’s new horizons spacecraft—currently exploring the an icy region beyond Neptune called the Kuiper Belt—eventually will leave our solar system.
  • Pioneer 10 and pioner 11 also will ultimately travel silently among the stars. The spacecraft used up their power supplies decades ago.

Cinderella is dead- Book review

Cinderella is dead
Author– Kaylnn Bayron
Stars 3

The story takes place 200 yrs after Cinderella story took place . It’s revolves around Sophia who is a lesbian and tries to rebel against the cruel king . The king has made rules that each year a ball will be held and the men will choose the women they want to marry through the ball , even if the women disagres she has to get married no matter what . Sophia doesn’t want to attend by the ball as she likes someone else. The story continues as Sophia tries to reveal the real story of Cinderella and Stop the reign of the king

I first thought this book was about Cinderella but it turned out different . I was disappointed with the way the book was written because I thought it became boring at points but it was a very different story and I liked it’s uniqueness. Even though the nature of Prince Charming’s characters was shown cruel which I don’t like. I really had q nice time reading it but definitely could have a lot more better

Spoiler alert

The fact that Fairy godmother was Charming’s mother was something I really do dint like along with the weird ending . The killing scene of king manford could have been more interesting .I liked the part that the stepsisters were shown as good characters

I would not completely recommend this book but if you are willing to try a new kind of story then this is a good read

Ludwig Guttmann

Sir Ludwig Guttmann born on 3rd July 1899 was a German- British neurologist . he was the one who established stokes Mandeville games , the sporting event for disabled which later evolved into Paralympics in England .he was a  Jewish doctor, who had fled Nazi Germany just before the start of the Second World War, he is considered to be one of the founding fathers of organized physical activities for people with disabilities. By 1952, more than 130 international competitors had entered the Stoke Mandeville Games. As the annual event continued to grow, the ethos and efforts by all those involved started to impress the organisers of the Olympic Games and members of the international community. In September 1943, the British government asked Guttmann to establish the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire Guttmann became a naturalized British citizen in 1945.[18] He organized the first Stoke Mandeville Games for disabled war veterans, which was held at the hospital on 29 July 1948, the same day as the opening of the London Olympics. All participants had spinal cord injuries and competed in wheelchairs.[17] In an effort to encourage his patients to take part in national events, Guttmann used the term Paraplegic Games. At the 1956 Stoke Mandeville Games, Guttmann was awarded the Sir Thomas Fernley Cup by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for his meritorious achievement in service to the Olympic movement through the social and human value derived from wheelchair sports. He was also awarded with Fellow of the Royal society award.

In 1961, Guttmann founded the International Medical Society of Paraplegia, now the International Spinal Cord Society He was the inaugural president of the society, a position that he held until 1970.[20] He became the first editor of the journal, Paraplegia (now named Spinal Cord).[21] He retired from clinical work in 1966 but continued his involvement with sport.

Guttmann suffered a heart attack in October 1979, and died on 18 March 1980 at the age of 80.

Today on 3rd of July 2021 we are celebrating 122nd birthday of sir Ludwig Guttmann

Ways to earn through Instagram

There no question about the fact that millions of people are using Instagram. This application has taken the world by storm and the user base has rapidly doubled in the last two years. We often come across people who are earning from Instagram by sharing a snapshot on Instagram these days just like YouTubers and bloggers, these Instagrammers have reach and influenced which most of the brands are interested.

There are ways to make money on Instagram Creators go where the money flows and get money flowing in the multitude from competitor creator funds. An increasing number of creators are shifting from sponsored content to audience monetization.

1- Partner with brands:
Instagram is a marketplace to help brands and creators find each other. In the meantime, eligible creators can continue to use monetize action tools in brand collabs. Brand collabs are available to those who are active business or creator accounts with 100+ hours of watch-time on original videos, 10k+ followers or thousand combine engagement, and no history of content violation.

2- Leverage affiliate links:
Affiliate marketing allows influencers to earn commission from the sales they put trackable links, and promo codes shared and posts and stories or Instagram bios. Brands track influencer references depending on whether the partners in false and pay per click. Influencers interested in affiliate marketing join affiliate networks such as CJ, affiliate, pepperjam. And brand such as Missouri and the runaway operate their affiliate program.

3- Earn money from your content:
Creators that have built an audience with their content that delivers entertainment or information. Creators have an increasing number of ways to earn money on Instagram. In May 2020 Instagram begin sharing revenue on 15 seconds ads played on their IGTV video this approach can take a page out of YouTube’s Playbook.

4- Sell your products or services:
From the photos, filters to run away ready products lines with creating. As entrepreneurs to sell the products or services on the app could either go to the link in bio or open a separate business account for the brands. Very Soon the Instagram will open Instagram shops from their creators’ accounts as well and have access to product launch tools among other features.

5- Live badges:
This allows followers to support creators during the broadcasts. Creators that release Instagram Live videos can earn “tips” from watchers in the form of heart badges. A heart icon comes next to their name in the live chat when a user purchases a badge. Instagram is starting to award creators for hitting particular Instagram Live landmarks, including live fleck and allying with different accounts.

Earning money on Instagram required genuineness. Creators should love the content they are putting out for their audience. Advocacy is the key, one should know to negotiate with big brands and agency but it’s important to stand up for fair rates to keep your career viable and growing.

Censored content that floats regulation risk began removed or find but it jeopardizes how much trust your audience will put into your recommendation. Create a blog or YouTube channel to expand your content marketing to provide information that prospective buyers want as they make their buying decisions. Use social media monitoring to stay on top of the conversation in your setup. Instagram-specific search stream into what’s happening on the platform then set alerts using who hoots. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your own Instagram stats and track what’s working with your audience and what’s not and find your sweet spot.

As per as a rate standardization goes the creator in the economy remains as widely as wild, Wild West. The amount of money that can be made on Instagram depends on the credential, audience size engagement, strategy, Hustle, and unfortunately, racism also affects how much the creator earns on Instagram.

Online Delivery of Alcohol

India is the world’s second-largest consumer of liquor. The WHO study also illustrates that India’s consumption was 2.4 liters per person in 2005, which surged up to 5.7 liters per person in 2016. The Research and Markets on changing behavioral patterns of Indian Alcohol consumption, says that the estimated consumption of alcohol would reach up to 16.8 billion liters by 2022. The report also says that the alcohol industry in Indian markets is growing at a CAGR of 8.8 percent. The figures infer that there is always a thriving market that creates an opportunity for the alcohol industry in India to strengthen its sales and revenue.

Despite pervasive alcohol harmful effects, India does not have a national alcohol policy system. Instead, alcohol policy solutions rely on state governments. Even though alcohol benefits the economy of India more than the revenue it generates. The state governments think of alcohol as a revenue-generating product. This thinking led to alcohol policy-making such as excise alcohol taxation being centered around revenue instead of public health.

Reason for online service

Alcohol stores were closed nationwide from March 25, 2020, accepting social distancing protocols due to the deadly pandemic of COVID-19. While the reopening in May 2020 caused people to throng outside stores in massive numbers, and the government had to quickly re-analyze. Meanwhile, the New Delhi authorities introduced a “Special Corona Fee” of 70% on top of retail liquor costs. On the other hand, Mumbai shut down its liquor stores entirely within two days of its reopening. So, the administration exercised online home delivery of alcohol. On May 8, 2020, the Supreme Court of India examined that the states should find alternatives to liquor delivery. Here is where players like Zomato and Swiggy came into the process.

Methods

As alcohol is regulated by the state government so different states are using different methods for online delivery of alcohol. These include,

Online purchase and issuing e-tokens for pickup,

Online purchase and home delivery through the alcohol portal, or

Online purchase and home delivery through a third-party delivery platform.

Difficulty faced

However, the delivery of liquor and its products is not as simple as the food delivery market. It is a highly regulated market. Different states have established different legal ages for alcohol consumption. Also, the suppliers have to obey multiple regulations and rules assessed by the government to stay within legal holds to deliver liquor.

Measure to ensure safe delivery

To secure the safe delivery of alcohol in obedience to laws, Swiggy introduced compulsory age confirmation and user authentication features on their application. Customers have to verify their age by uploading a picture of a valid government ID. A selfie is then also required for authentication that is verified by the platform using an AI-powered system. All the orders carry a special OTP, which is expected at the time of delivery and needs to be procured by the customer. There is also control over the quantity of liquor ordered.

Zomato, as well, has acquainted consumption and identity confirmation procedures, several safety procedures and inspections, to ensure credible and safe ordering and delivery of alcohol. There are age checks at the time of ordering as well as the delivery. There are product category maxima to stimulate responsible consumption. The application only has licensed alcohol retailers who have opted for the service.

Drawbacks

Although this move by the delivery companies like Zomato and Swiggy has opened a new way for alcohol orders through smartphones, which promotes social distancing and consumer safety. But there is a high possibility that the delivery man can be attacked by goons for the bottles and, we know, what a person can do if he does not get goods to which he is addicted. Moreover, the young generation knows how to use the internet very well. So there is a possibility of a bad influence on the young generation of the country.

Medieval English literature

Medieval literature is a broad subject, encompassing essentially all written works available in Europe and beyond during the Middle Ages (1000 years from the fall of the Western Roman Empire, Ad 500 to the beginning of the Renaissance in the 14th 15th Boss 16th century.)

English in the middle age

Concerns the history of England during the medieval period, from the end of the 5th century through to the start of the early modern period in 1485. A rich and artistic culture flourished under Anglo-Saxons producing Epic poems such as Beowulf. The Anglo-Saxons converted to Christianity in the 7th century and a network of monasteries and convents was built across England. In the 8th and 9th century England faced fierce Viking attacks, and the fight lasted for many decades, eventually established Wessex as the most powerful Kingdom and promoting the growth of an English identity. Despite the repeated crisis of succession and a Danish seizure of power at the start of the 11th century, it can also be argued that by the 1060s England was a powerful centralized state with a strong military and successful economy.

Invasion of England

The Norman invasion of England in 1066 led to the defeat and replacement of the Anglo-Saxon elite with Norman and French nobles and their supporters. The ruler introduced a feudal approach to governing England, eradicating the practice of slavery, but creating a much wider body to earn free laborers called serfs. The position of women in society changed as laws regarding land and lordship sifted. England’s population more than doubled during the 12th and 13th century fuelling an expansion of the town, cities, and trade. In the 14th century in England a great famine and the Black Death catastrophic events killed around half of England’s population throwing the economy into chaos and undermining the old political orders. Social unrest followed, resulting in the peasants’ revolt of 1381, while the changes in the economy resulted in the emergence of a new class of gentry and nobility who began to exercise power through the system term bastard feudalism. Nearly 1500 villages were deserted by their inhabitants and many men and women sought new opportunities in the town and cities.

End of Middle Age English

English king, in the 14th and 15th centuries, laid claim to the French throne resulting in a hundred-year war. At times England enjoyed its military success, with the economy beyond by profit from the international wool cloth trade, but by 1450 the country was in crisis, facing military failure in France and an ongoing recession. Social unrest broke out followed by the war of the Roses and fought between rival factions of the English nobility. Henry VII’s victory in 1485 conventionally marks the end of the Middle Age in England and the start of the early modern period

ROADS IN INDIA

India has one of the largest road networks in the world, aggregating to about 54.7 lakh km. The growing importance of road transport over rail transport is mentioned below:

  1. The construction cost of roads is much lower than that of railway lines.
  2. Roads can cover more geographically harder locations that cannot be done by the railways.
  3. Roads can negotiate higher gradients of slopes and can be easily built-in traverse mountains such as the Himalayas.
  4. Road transport is economical.
  5. It also provides door-to-door service
  6. Road transport provides links between railway stations, air and seaports.

In India, roads are classified in the following six classes according to their capacity.

Golden Quadrilateral Super Highways

Golden Quadrilateral is a network of Highways connecting India’s four top metropolitan cities, namely Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai. These highway projects are being implemented by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

National Highways

The National highways are a network of trunk roads that are laid and maintained by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). The historical Sher-Shah Suri Marg is called National Highway No.1, between Delhi and Amritsar.

State Highways

Roads linking a state capital with different district headquarters are known as State Highways. These roads are constructed and maintained by the State Public Works Department (PWD).

District Roads

These roads connect the district headquarters with other places of the district. These roads are maintained by the Zila Parishad.

Other Roads

Rural roads, which link rural areas and villages with towns, are classified under this category. These roads received special impetus under the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana.

Border Roads

Border Roads Organisation constructs and maintains roads in the bordering areas of the country. This organisation was established in 1960 for the development of the roads of strategic importance in the northern and north-eastern border areas.

Roads can also be classified on the basis of the type of material used for their construction such as:

  • Metalled roads may be made of cement, concrete or even bitumen of coal. These are all-weather roads.
  • Unmetalled roads go out of use in the rainy season.

CONCEPT OF CULTIVATION IN INDIA

AGRICULTURE has been the backbone of Human existence since time immemorial. The Agricultural practices carried out in india are still largely traditional. In the years of its independence, india has made immense progress toward food security.India’s Green revolution Technology invloves production of crop and its irrigation.Agriculture employed more than 50% of the indian work force and has contributed 17-18%to country’s GDP.This is the most vital Sector for human survival. The economic contribution of Agriculture to india’s GDP is Steadily declining with country’s broad based economic growth. But still,it plays a significant role in the overall socio-economic fabric of india.Farmer refers to the person who engages in the activity of Growing crops and Various farming related occupations such as Sericulture,Verimiculture and Agro-forestry,it invloves fishers, livestock rearers, poultry, gardeners,Planting labourers etc.

INDIAN AGRICULTURE AND ITS IMPORTANCE:

Before the mid-1960s,India relied on imports and food aid to meet domestic requirements. However, two years of severe drought in 1965 and 1966 made india to to reform its agricultural policy. This formed india’s Green revolution with better farming knowledge to improve productivity. The State of Punjab led india’s green Revolution and is known to be the Country’s BreadBasket. With agricultural policy success in wheat, india’s green revolution spread to rice, farmers innvoated tube-wells,to harvest ground water.Agricultural Scientist MS SWAMINATHAN has played a vital role in the Green revoulution in 2013.

Organic farming considered to be the Traditional practice of harvesting with ancestral practices and cultivating procedures. The primary aim of this Organic farming is to help soil to get healthy through biological wastes ,organic wastes and bio-Fertilizers.Organic farming is a sytem that avoids use of synthetic inputs like pesticides,Fertilizers and chemicals, that relys on the techniques like Crop rotation ,Organic Waste ,Farm Manure and crop residues for Plants Protection and nutrients required for its Utilization. The need for this farming is a natural balance between life and property of existence.

Organic farming is based on the Following principles:

  • Soil is a living entity and gives good fertility for plant growth
  • Nature provides all the neccesities and don’t use any external agents
  • The health of soil and its structure is maintained as it is believed to be the most important medium

since india has Traditionally been practicing organic Farming and there is regulatory body that ensures the quality.National Programe on organic production (NPOP) regulates domestic and export markets. As the entire theme of organic farming revolves around healthy, living soil crop residue management. It ensures optimum productivity without fertility loss. Some strategies to consider for Organic farming are :

RAIN WATER HARVESTING:

Rain water harvesting is an important step in organic farming that is the only source of irrigation are seasonal rains, local ponds, percolation tanks, lakes and wells.Farm ponds must be dug and cultivation is practiced.

SOIL ENRICHMENT:

Soil must be enriched to the maximum extent. The golden rule here is to circulate the crop residue, cattle Droppings, and other biological waste back to the field to attain and enrich fertility of the soil.Bio-nutrients,Bio-fertilizers,compost pits must be used.

TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT:

Inspite of the increasing temparature and ill-effects of global warming this is a important consideration. The soil must be kept and covered to protect it from heat. Trees and bushes has to be planted on the banks.

MODERN CULTIVATION AND ITS ADVANTAGES:

Modern Agricultural systems , Modern machines can control the hard work of farmers.Modern farming was very successful in meeting a growing demand for food by the world’s population.Yields of primary crops such as rice and wheat increased dramatically with the general population growth. This boost in food production has been mainly to scientific advances and new crop varities with the use of pesticides and fertilizers and the construction of large irrigation systems.

The main Motto of Modern agricultural systems have been developed to obtain the highest yields and to get economic profit. It also has a concept of Monoculture, where only one crop is grown alone in a field .Monoculture makes it easier to sow seed, control weeds and harvest.Irrigation technolgies include supply of water to crops during times of dry weather in the place where natural rainfall is not sufficient for growing most of the crops.Modern culture has taken advantage of several more recent crop breeding techniques.

MODERN FARMING METHODS:

AEROPONICS SYSTEM:

This process of growing plants in air or mist environment without the utilize of soil as medium. It is a subset of Hydroponics and grows by suspending plant roots in the air and misting them with nutrient water. This uses liquid nutrient result as a growing medium and essential mineral to maintain plant growth. These are cost effective since won’t have to spend money on irrigation channels.

AQUAPONICS SYSTEMS:

Aquaponics is a closed loops system that relies on the acquaculture and agriculture for fertilization. While fish waste accumulates in the water and provides the nutrients essential for plant growth, the plants naturally clean the water. It benefits by using all the normal fertilizer sources from fish waste.Efficient,Sustainable and extremely productive. These are some important modern farming methods that have been in practice in recent times all over the world.Cultivation has its Importance within a sustainable and healthy environment.

Eve teasing: Judicial perspective

The verbal or physical abuse or harassment of women in public places such as streets, public transit, parks, and other places where people gather, as well as making lewd gestures like winking, whistling, or staring is defined as eve teasing.

Haryana government recently conducted a survey on eve teasing which highlights that the maximum reports related to eve teasing occurs when females return or travel to schools, college and their respective workplace. However, a different study on eve-teasing suggests that only 10% of such cases are reported in the police station. The major reason of such less reporting is that our society doesn’t pay head to such incidents and ignore the victim by saying ‘they just touched or winked at you. What’s the harm in it? They didn’t commit any severe offences.’

But well they did and it’s high time that women as well as the society should be aware of the legal rights relating to eve-teasing so that innocent victims do not commit suicide or are murdered because as seen in various studies such incidents happen when harassment went unreported.

WOMEN’S RIGHTS AND LIABILITIES IN REGARD TO EVE TEASING

·       The apex court of India ‘the supreme court’ when dealing with Vishakha vs state of Rajasthan provided us with guidelines relating to the act amounting to sexual harassment which includes the following:-

1. Undesired sexually determined behavior, either directly or indirectly

2. any type of bodily contact or advances

3. any demand or request for sexual favors

4. statements that are sexually oriented

5. any sexually harassing physical, verbal, or nonverbal activity, such as showing pornography or making obscene jokes.

Anyone who is experiencing such acts or witnessing someone who is suffering the above-mentioned rules amounting to sexual harassment can submit a complaint in the court or police station.

·       Furthermore, eve teasing also includes stalking which means An individual’s repeated harassment or threatening behavior, such as following a person, showing up at their home or workplace, making harassing phone calls, leaving written messages or items, or vandalizing their property is now included in the Indian law under Section 354D of Indian penal code which provides imprisonment to the stalker up to 3 years.

Hence, The persistent, unwelcome involvement of one person with another, for any reason, can be declared illegal and punishable if the behavior causes a person to fear violence or anguish, or disrupts their mental peace.

·       Indian penal code, 1860 provides few sections which deals with the protection of women’s dignity against the behavior that degrades women’s dignity.

SECTION 294 OF IPC

Under section 294 of ipc, If someone conducts any obscene activities in a public area, or sings, recites, or utters any indecent song or lyrics in a public place, or even a spot close to a social setting which annoys the other will be punished with imprisonment upto 3 months, fine or both  under this act. This section is not gender specific so anyone might be a victim or perpetrator.

SECTION 509 OF IPC

this section is known as eve-teasing section which states that anybody who has the intent to insult a woman’s modesty by uttering any phrase, producing any sound, gesture, or displaying any object with the intent that such gesture or words are heard by the woman or intrudes upon her seclusion will  be penalised with a year in prison or a fine.

SECTION 292 OF IPC

Section 292 deals with the act of showing obscene or pornographic images, booklets to a female will be fined Rs. 2000 and sentenced to two years in prison. Furthermore, if the offender repeated this offence, he will be sentenced to up to five years in prison and a fine of Rs. 5000.

SECTION 354 OF IPC

Under this section, If a person knowingly assaults or uses illegal force against a woman in order to offend her modesty, will be imprisoned minimum for 1 year but can extend up to 5 years and fine. The subparts of this section are as follows:-

§  SECTION 354A

Sexual harassment is now an explicit offence under Section 354A of the Indian Penal Code, owing to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013.

This act increased the imprisonment upto 3 years and fine and both of any offender who passes any derogatory remarks or makes obscene gestures towards a female thus, invading her privacy.

§  SECTION 354B

This section deals with disrobing which states that Any individual who uses unlawful force against a woman with the intent of disrobing her or forcing her to be naked is responsible under this provision. The punishment given to the offender will be minimum of 3 years but upto 7 years is acceptable.

§  SECTION 354C

It deals with the act of voyeurism which simply means sexual fascination of watching other people participate in sexual behaviors such as undressing, sexual intercourse, or other actions that are normally considered private will be held liable minimum for 1 year but can extend to 3 years and fine.

·       Moreover, Eve-teasing is deemed unconstitutional since it infringes on a person’s right to privacy by prying into his or her private life. thus, breaching fundamental right to life provided by our indian constitution

( Article 21)  because it undermines a woman’s dignity as well as her self-respect.

Thus, there is an urgent need to address this rapidly rising problem and it can only be done by realizing how dangerous and evil ‘eve teasing’ can be if it is not stopped at an early age and what ill effects it leaves on the person experiencing it. The society mainly females should be aware of the rights and liabilities relating to eve teasing so that they can stand up against it even if the society doesn’t support them and bring a change in this society.
