Global Warming

Global Warming

What is Global warming?

Global warming is the process
of increase in the temperature near the earth’s surface. The process has been
observed over centuries and has extremely disturbed the weather and climatic conditions
of the earth.

Causes of Global Warming:

Deforestation

Plants and trees
play a very crucial part in maintaining balance in ecosystem by taking in
carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Forests are being cut continuously for
domestic and commercial purposes which creates an imbalance in the ecosystem
which causes global warming.

Vehicle Usage

All the
vehicles, when in use, emit various gaseous emissions like carbon dioxide and
other toxic substances into the atmosphere. This leads to increase in
temperature which causes global warming.

Chlorofluorocarbon

The ozone rays play a very crucial part in
protecting the earth surface from harmful UV (ultra violet) rays. Excessive usage
of air conditioners and refrigerators by people have increased the number of CFCs
into the environment which negatively impacts the ozone layer.

Due to CFC’s,
ozone layer depletes which makes the entry of ultraviolet rays easier.  This leads to increase in temperature which
causes global warming.

Industrialization

It can be observed
that the temperature of earth surface has also been increasing rapidly due to
advent of
industrialization. It is because industries emit the harmful
emissions leading to increase in temperature of the earth leading to global warming.

Harmful Effects of Global Warming:

Increase in Temperature

The continuous rise
in earth’s temperature has led to increased melting of glaciers which have negatively
impacted the sea level. This could have harmful effects on coastal regions.

Danger to the Ecosystem

Increase in temperature
caused by global warming has affected the coral reefs in a negative manner. The
rising temperatures have increased the fragility of coral reefs and the plants
and animal lives were also severely affected.

Climatic imbalances

Climatic
imbalances are also one of the negative consequences of global warming. Some
places experience floods and some places face droughts due to the same.

Spreading of Diseases

Global warming
leads to the movement of disease carrying mosquitoes. This is because global
warming is responsible for changing patterns of heat and humidity.

Harms human life

Increase in
natural disasters such as floods, tsunamis, etc, the average death toll is
increasing very rapidly due to global warming. This can lead to spread of
diseases which could harm the human life.

Loss of Biodiversity

Due to global
change in climatic conditions, habitat of several plants and animals are lost. Due
to this, animals migrate from their natural habitat. Many species of plants and
animals have also become extinct. Thus, global warming has an adverse impact on
biodiversity too.

Conclusion

Through this article
one can understand how harmful global warming is and how harmful can it be to
the plants, animals and humans. This is a serious issue which needs to be
addressed by all the people as a united team.

LIFTING OF CORPORATE VIEL

When seven or more person in case of public company and two or more person in case of private company forms a company as per provisions of Companies Act, 2013 they are clothed with corporate personality and there association known by the name of the company. However, sometime this veil of corporate personality is used for some dishonest and fraudulent purpose in that case Court will look into reality and remove the corporate veil.
In the following case the courts have lifted the corporate veil-
(1) Prevention of fraud and misconduct: Where the medium of a company has been used for committing fraud or improper conduct, the Courts have lifted the veil and looked at the realities of the situation. Gilford Motor Co. vs. Horne [1933] Ch 935: In this case ‘Horne’ had been employed by the company under an agreement that he shall not solicit the customers of the company or compete with it for a certain period of time after having its employment. After ceasing to be employed by the plaintiff, ‘Horne’ formed a company which carried on a competing business and allotted whole of its shares to his wife and an employee of the company, who were appointed to be its directors. It was held that since the defendant (Horne) in fact controlled the company, its formation was a mere ‘cloak or sham’ to enable him to break his agreement with the plaintiff. Accordingly, an injunction was issued against him and against the company he had formed restraining them from soliciting the plaintiff’s customers.
(2) Company acting as agent: Where the company is in reality an agency or trust for someone else and the corporate facade is used to cover up that agency or trust. Re. FG Films Ltd. (1953) 1 All E.R. 615: FG films wanted Monsoon registered as a British film. It applied to be declared as the ‘maker’ under the Cinematography Films Act 1936-1948. The Board of Trade refused because it was made by the American Film Group Inc. The American company had promised to finance and provide facilities to the UK company for making the film. 90 shares were held by an American director and 10 by a British one. No shares were held by the third director, who was British. The film was made in India. It was held that the film could not be considered British made, even though the company owning the
rights was a UK company.
(3) Protection of public policy: Where the doctrine conflicts with public policy, Courts have lifted the corporation veil for protecting the public policy. Connors vs. Connors Ltd. (1940) 4 All E.R. 179: In this case the principle was applied against the managing directors he made use of his position contrary to public policy. In this case house of Lord determined the character of company as enemy company, since the person who de facto in control of its affairs where resident of Germany, which was at war with England at that time.
(4) Enemy character of company: Court will lift the corporate veil if the company has enemy character. Daimler Co. Ltd. vs. Continental Tyre & Rubber Co. Ltd. AIR 1927 Bombay 371: A Company was incorporated in London for the purpose of selling tyres manufactured in Germany by a German Company. Its majority shareholder and all the directors were Germans. On declaration of war between England and Germany in 1914, it was held that since both the decision making bodies, the Board of Directors and the general body of shareholders were controlled by Germans, the company was a German company and hence, an enemy company. Accordingly, the suit filed by the company to recover a trade debt was dismissed on the ground that such payment would amount to travelling with enemy.

(5) Evasion of taxes: Where the veil has been used for evasion of taxes and duties, the court upheld the piercing of the veil to look at the real transaction. [Re. Dinshaw Maneckjee Petit A.I.R. 1927 Bombay 371]

(6) To protect labour welfare legislation: Where the purpose of company formation was to avoid the welfare legislation, the Court will lift the corporate veil. Where it was found that the sole purpose for the formation of new company was to use it as a device to reduce the amount to be paid by way of bonus to workman the Supreme Court upheld the piercing of the veil to look at the transaction. [Workmen of Associated Rubber Industries Ltd. vs. Associated Rubber Industries Ltd. A.LR. 1986 SC 1]

(7) Use of corporate veil for hiding criminal activities: Where the defendant used the corporate structure as a device to conceal his criminal activities (evasion of customs and excise duties), the Court could lift the corporate veil and treat the assets of the company as the realizable property of the shareholder.

(8) To punish for contempt of Court: [Jyoti Limited vs. Kamwaljit Kaur Bhasin 32 (1987) DLT 198].

The plant has sharp thorns all along its woody branches. It is normally found growing in tropical and subtropical regions from near sea-level. It grows equally well in arid and wet or humid conditions. It is light demanding plant, common in grassy areas, brush and village groves. The plant is not fastidious of soil type and grows on a wide range of soil types ranging from sandy loam to clay, light or heavy, and slightly acidic to slightly alkaline. It flourishes in deep, fertile soil. It is moderately drought resistant but some cultivars may be sensitive to drought and frost. It is fire-resistant and is one of the first trees to recover after a fire. Branchlets are glabrous or finely pubescent, 10–20 cm long, usually deciduous.

Leaves

The buds perk up early in the spring, dotting the stems with green when most other plants are still tawny. Leaves are alternate, single, deeply lobed, and glossy dark green (European types), or pale to gray-green and sometimes finely pubescent (American types). The stems are thin, becoming woody, with a large thorn at each axil. American gooseberry stems are densely bristly, with one or more additional thorns at each axil. Leaf size and number are reduced under heat or light stress, and are easily burned by intense sunlight. Plants that have been subject to drought may make a new growth flush after deep irrigation. If the roots are lost, regrowth will wait until the following spring.

Flowers

Flowers are greenish-yellow, fascicled in axils of leaves or fallen leaves, unisexual. The male flowers are numerous at base of young twigs, the female flowers solitary and higher up the twig. Male flowers are shortly pedicellate, with six pale green perianth lobes 1.5–2.5 mm long and three entirely connate stamens, six disk glands alternating with the perianth lobes; female flowers sessile, with six somewhat larger perianth lobes, a cup-like six-angular disk, and a superior three celled, glabrous ovary crowned by three styles, connate for more than half of their length and deeply bifid at apex. The flowers are self-fertile and pollinated by wind and insects, including bees. Each flower bud opens to yield from one to four flowers, depending on cultivar.

Fruit

Fruit, borne singly or in pairs at the axils, is a berry with many minute seeds at the center. A gooseberry is depressed globose drupe 2–4 cm in diameter; with six vertical striations. The color of the berries is usually green, but there are red (to purple), yellow, and white variants. (Ribes hirtellum fruit can be green or dark purple to black. Fruits of the European gooseberry may be very large, like a small plum, but are usually 1 inch long, less in width. American gooseberry fruits are smaller (to 1/2 inch), perfectly round, all becoming pink to wine-red at maturity. In general, the berries weigh about 4 g to 10 g. The fruit skin is thin, translucent and adherent to the very crisp, juicy, concolorous flesh. Inside, a berry may hold 15-30 tiny edible seeds. Skin color is most intense in full sunlight. Berries generally drop when overripe. The fruit has a flavor all its own, the best dessert cultivars as luscious as the best apple, strawberry  or grape.

Growing Up Is Fun But Really Stressful By An Adolescent

College is one of the most important phases in any person’s life. There are some who enjoy these days by going to parties and watching movies and simply enjoy themselves, there are others who have to work and provide for to a family at the same time. This period, like any other period, in a person’s life goes through in phases and with each phase comes an increasing level of stress. Some stress is good and is necessary, it is termed as Eustress. It is the minimum level of stress that keeps us motivated to do our best and thus is positive in nature. Some stress is negative and its constancy can cause us much harm, this kind of stress is known as Distress.

The first change that occurs with college is the absolute freedom we receive, and we are not always use to it and get carried away in the process. Important decisions are to be made, like what courses to choose and what career to follow? Whether to live at home or in a hostel? Students have to develop an ethical value system that is best suited to them. Once the courses are chosen, the most common reason for stress is grades. The students put themselves under a lot of pressure to perform better, the professors often tend to side

the ones who score high marks rather than focusing on how much the students learn, the pressure to perform together with the pressure to impress could lead to a lot of stress. Students who enter college on scholarship programs or those from low socio economic status who have the responsibility of caring and providing for the family, suffer the most. Some of them even take up part time jobs that leave them no time to relax.

Next in line are friends. Friends are the most important part of any ones life. Friends give our life meaning and to some extent help us find our inner self. Making new friends and adjusting with their lifestyles is never easy. Sometimes it may lead to change in the value system. In the shoes of a non-smoker, “Do I really need to smoke to fit in the group?” Sometimes individuals change their entire perspective on life. Deciding on giving in to peer pressure or to stick with your own values and judgments often lead to conflict and stress.

Love is another important change in an adolescent’s life. There are different kinds of lovers. There are some who feel love is a game. Some feel it is something which would make them cool. Some are just flirting and then there are those who think love is eternal and forever. With these different perspectives sometimes different kinds of lovers get together. This could lead to a lot of stress. From one of my heart broken friends I got this, “My boyfriend

thinks love is just another game in life. If you are strong enough you will win the game or else you are a looser. Sex is just another parameter just like cloths or shoes in life.” Many times sex is misunderstood and misused as love. Sometimes girls feel pressurized into being physical on the demand of their boyfriends. Sometimes it can lead to date rape or sexual harassment also. Most girls get too embarrassed to talk about it or seek much needed help; this resistance is very harmful to their mental and physical health.

With love and relationships come break-ups. Breakups are never easy. It can lead to self doubt, feeling depressed, and can sometimes also lead to a negative and poor self image. By the age of 17, most of the college students have had their heart broken and fallen in love all over again. By the time they are 18, they face different kind of stressors. Now they are official adults and have far more responsibilities. There is a conflict inside of them, as they

are not children and not totally adults. They have to find socially accepted ways to express themselves.

This is a period where adolescents usually face identity confusion. They are in the process of making an individual identity based on their on values. Sometimes these values go against the values of their parents and family systems. In a typical Indian society, there are a lot of gender related stressors. Adolescent girls are under the pressure of getting married, and many times against their will. She is expected to perform all the house hold functions

and duties and has to manage her education and homely duties which can be very stressful. She is expected to be humble and respectful and is many times not allowed to speak her mind. She is dominated by the wishes of her father and is given very little freedom. On the other hand the male child is encouraged to go out, and make a living. They are given more freedom than women.

These are few stressors that my surveys conclusively indicated. There are far too many that are faced by the adolescents of today. The stressors faces by adolescents today are far more different from the ones faces by their parents or even their elder siblings. The adolescents in our modern world are aware and willing to make a difference.

Why is Jeff Bezos suing NASA?

Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin has filed a lawsuit against NASA, accusing the government agency of improperly evaluating proposals. This is the latest move Bezos has made after months of criticizing NASA’s decision to pick Blue Origin’s longtime rival SpaceX as the recipient of a $2.9 billion contract to get astronauts back on the moon. Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, penned an open letter to NASA, asking them to rethink the contract, offering to waive $2 billion dollars of costs. He also filed a complaint to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). “I don’t know if the public is paying attention to this, but the space community sure is and the space community is reacting very negatively,” says Laura Forczyk, owner of aerospace space consulting firm Astralytical. “It’s seen as pettiness—as throwing a tantrum.”

Blue Origin

Bezos founded Blue Origin in 2000, and the company has spent years competing with SpaceX and other players in the aerospace industry for lucrative government contracts. The company’s been slowly building up their technical capabilities, with tech like reusable launch vehicle New Shepard, named for Alan Shepard, the first American to rocket into space. It’s designed to take six astronauts past the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary to space. Then there’s the New Glenn, named for astronaut John Glenn, the first American astronaut to orbit Earth. It’s designed to be reused for a minimum of 25 flights, making trips to space cheaper and more accessible. Both projects are in line with NASA’s Artemis program, whose mission is getting Americans back to the moon for longer periods of time, on rockets that can be reused. “NASA doesn’t want just the ability to land humans and come back, they want to make it repeatable and affordable,” Forczyk says, “They want to create some kind of longer term, sustainable human presence on the moon.”

Even though Artemis is a program that has only officially been around for about two years, the idea of returning back to the moon has existed since the first Bush administration, when it was called the Space Exploration initiative, says Forczyk. Under the second Bush administration, it was called Constellation, but the idea didn’t pick up steam until former Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech in 2019 calling for human return to the moon by 2024.

What happened with NASA?

In April 2020, three companies—Blue Origin, Dynetics, and SpaceX—were all invited to submit lunar lander designs to NASA as part of the Artemis program. The winner of the contract would get to play a hand in transporting people back to the moon for the first time in decades. According to a GAO document, NASA voiced a “preference for awarding two [contracts], pending availability of funds.” A year later, NASA announced that only SpaceX would get the contract. “This was a surprise because everyone anticipated they would select two instead of just one,” says Forczyk. Both Blue Origin and Dynetics filed complaints to the GAO. SpaceX’s work stopped while the GAO deliberated, but they eventually found no fault in the process, noting that NASA did not have the funding for more than one contract. Elon Musk responded to the news by tweeting “GAO” with the flexed arm emoji. Bezos then penned an open letter to NASA chief Bill Nelson on July 26, 2021, saying that this decision to award SpaceX the only contract was “putting an end to meaningful competition for years to come.” He offered to waive payments of up to $2 billion.

NASA did not respond, and by August 16, Bezos escalated his campaign against NASA, filing a federal court complaint that cited issues in the proposal evaluation process. And on August 19, a Washington Post reporter announced on Twitter that a NASA spokesperson said it had to pause its work on the human landing system in response to a judge’s stay.

Public Reaction

Artemis has been plagued by many delays, and some fear this lawsuit could delay the project further. “It’s unfortunate; he does have quite a bit of wealth, and he could funnel that wealth into paying for this project internally, or he could funnel his wealth into convincing NASA that they need to hire him,” says Forczyk. Meanwhile, an open letter posted on the subreddit r/BlueOrigin titled “We are NOT like this,” allegedly from the perspective of Blue Origin employees, voices embarrassment at the lawsuit. A few Blue Origin staffers, like engineer Lauren Lyons, have left the company. Engineer Nitin Arora actually left Blue Origin for SpaceX. “Looking at the bigger picture, this is just a blip,” says Forczyk. “When we bask in the glory of finally getting back [to the moon], it’ll be something long forgotten.”

IF I RUN THE WORLD

‘IF I RUN THE WORLD…’ I always wonder what it would be like. It’s like one of those thoughts that falls into our minds, like why some movies have an offline script or why some artists sing when they don’t have the right words. But, I mean, whenever you listen to the news on TV or on the radio about a global epidemic or war, do you not feel that you can probably do a better job caring for the earth?

In the current state of affairs, everyone who wants to be president or prime minister of a country has only one goal in mind — to rule the country or the world with money and power. They do not think of the poor and do not think of the proper development of the nation and of the whole world which shows how the world has selfish and selfish rulers.

Today, everywhere in the world something bad is happening, such as the war in Afghanistan or the deforestation. If I were to run the world, I would turn the mountains into chocolate and turn the trees into sweets. All the jokes aside, if I were to manage the world, there are four things in particular I would like to change: Hate between the different religions of the world, Freedom of speech, equality for all and the idea of monetary power coming from human minds. There are a total of 195 countries and about 4,400 religions worldwide. These numbers show how each nation is different or in other words how different our mother world is! People today, however, hate one another’s religions. Example: Muslims and Hindus hate one another because of past relationships or circumstances that led them to do so. If all religions stood together and fought for their rights, working together for good, the Earth would be a much better place to live. If I were to run the world, I would develop a sense of belonging between all religions and the belief that man is the same and that they follow different cultures. This will be much better for our world to grow in unity.

‘Speech’ is a very important word that allows every person in the world to put forward his or her thoughts related to any topic. Many countries have the right to free speech but it is not done literally. Example: In India, a girl wrote something against a political party on Facebook and it was spreading. A few days later he was accused of being a criminal as he just posted his opinion of the party. This shows that the ‘Right to Freedom of Speech’ is not really cared for in India, which is sad. On the other hand, If I were a ruler; I would allow everyone to express their views and suggestions freely. This can also lead people to believe in society. Therefore, Freedom of Speech will be granted to all whether it be a doctor, a lawyer, a businessman etc.

Treating everyone equally plays a very important role in governance. If I were to treat the world, I would treat everyone equally. It is the same for men and women or for the rich and the poor. Women should have the same rights as men. They should be educated and allowed to work in various fields or subjects. As a girl myself, I will feel proud to see women serving the community on a large scale because they are the people who support their families. I can see that all women are educated and given respect in society. The poor should also be given equal access to education and employment. As a ruler, I would also see poor people educated their children and they also had jobs. The world cannot rely solely on the wealthy; poor people also play a very important role in the whole universe. I can make special schemes, build good schools for the poor and also give these schools good teachers. If the poor are educated only the world can move forward.

Today, MONEY plays a vital role in the life of an individual. Everyone has only one goal in life, and that goal is to earn money. Benefit from crime or from that and deceive the lives of others in the community. Money does not rule over the world, and happiness does not rule over the world. I would rather focus on finding happiness than on making money for individuals. For the sake of money; relationships are broken, between nations, families, and friends this leads to loss of happiness among people. I can make people understand the importance of happiness in one’s life and what brings real meaning to their lives.

Lastly, to say that I would do these things if I were to manage this land is easier than actually putting them in place. But, if I was given the opportunity I would try to make this land beautiful for foreigners to live in or experiment with. Jokes aside, if I were to really manage this world, I would see that each person is happy in everything they do and has respect for each other or for that matter each other’s lives. To me, all citizens of the world are rulers and not just the president or the prime minister. I would just like to be the guiding light of the world and not force the thoughts on people who help me as a ruler and not on the people of the world as citizens.

NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2021- SALIENT FEATURES

BY DAKSHITA NAITHANI

Who created NEP (National Education Policy)?

The challenges that would occur in the Indian education system – from school to college to work – were examined by a panel of experts chaired by former ISRO chairman K Kasturirangan.

NEP- National Education Policy

The “New Education Policy 2020-2021” was recently adopted by the Central Government Cabinet Committee. 2 crore schoolchildren would be reintegrated into the mainstream under the NEP 2020. With 12 years of schooling and 3 years of Anganwadi/Preschool, a new 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 curriculum was launched.

Anganwadi will provide pre-school education to children for the first three years. The students will then be educated in first and second grades for the following two years. First five years of study will be completed by a new curriculum which will be developed. Activity-based learning will be the main focus. It will be available to youngsters aged three to eight.

Preparatory stage – Classes three through five will be covered at this time. Children will be taught science, mathematics, the arts, and other subjects through experiments during this period. Children between the ages of 8 to 11 will be covered.

Middle Stage – These subject-based workshops will include grades 6-8, as well as students aged 11-14. Courses in skill development will begin in sixth grade.

The secondary stage- From ninth through twelfth grade, students will be divided into two groups for intense study of the topics. There will also be the option of picking and choosing subjects. Previously, this system did not exist in government pre-schools. From first grade through tenth grade, there was a general education programme.

With no clear distinction between academic streams, schools will focus a greater emphasis on extracurricular activities, professional development, reading, and numeracy. In accordance with the new policy 2020, vocational education will begin in the sixth grade. It will be mandatory to teach in the mother tongue / regional language till the fifth grade. Improvement of evaluation and tracking progress of students to accomplish learning goals, among other things, is covered with a full 360-degree progress card.

Other important changes in school education – Salient Features of #NEP2020

According to Dr. Kasturirangan, vocational education, led the committee created to approve the new education policy, and now the kid will get vocational education and skills beginning in the sixth grade. Internships will be available on a local level as well. Vocational education and skill development will be prioritised.

There will be no job losses as a result of the new education approach. The youngsters will receive the essential education in school for professional environment. The 10th and 12th grade Board examinations will be straightforward. The Board examinations for classes 10th and 12th will undergo modifications.

Exams conducted by the council will be undervalued. There are a lot of good ideas in this article. Exams, for example, should be given twice a year and divided into two portions, one objective and the other explanatory. When it comes to council examinations, students are always under pressure and rely on training to improve their grades. According to the education strategy, various councils will create a realistic model for board exams in the near future. Exams and units at the yearly and quarterly levels, for instance.

Changes will be made to children’s report cards, which will be used to evaluate their school achievement and performance. They will be graded on three different levels. The first will be a student, the second will be a classmate, and the third will be his teacher.

In 2019, the rough draft of NEP was introduced, and it received much praise as well as harsh criticism. The idea to declare Hindi one of the essential languages was quickly shot down. After that, the document was made public, and individuals and other stakeholders were asked to submit policy ideas for improvement.

Changes Made in Higher Education

50% Increase in GER

By 2035, the NEP intends to raise the existing GER (Gross Enrolment Ratio) from 26.3 – 50 percent. 3.5 Crore additional places in higher education would be added.

Interdisciplinary general education

The strategy aims to provide a complete, multidisciplinary, and broad-based college education with flexible plans, additional topic options, a greater emphasis on vocational education, and the ability to enrol and exit the programme with a recognised degree. For example, Certificate after 1 year, Advanced Diploma after 2 years, Degree after 3 years, License for research after 4 years.

India’s educational system is at a critical crossroads. On the one hand, it is expected to replace an out-of-date paradigm with the NEP 2020. New digital learning platforms and creative teaching approaches, on the other hand, are driving it to global standards and setting new milestones.

Any country’s education is judged by the quality of its human capital. A well-educated population with a high literacy rate is better prepared to take on social, economic, and political responsibilities responsibly while maintaining a broad understanding of global concerns. This is the goal embodied in the NEP 2020, which, if implemented well, would make education more comprehensive and enjoyable.

With the announcement to qualitatively improve 15,000 schools across India to adopt NEP in the Union Budget 2021-22 and these will act as role models for other schools to emulate. To maximise the benefits of the NEP, the education sector must harness the powers of technology in the future. This will result in a rising curve in the standard of education in India.

As we emerge from the coronavirus epidemic and begin a new academic year, it is critical to recognise the potential for change in Indian education as a consequence of these 3 forces: the National Education Policy (NEP) and the accompanying new platforms and teaching and learning methodologies.

CREATING A ROUTINE IN COVID: WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?

White Notebook With Black Pen

Owing the advent of Covid-19 pandemic last year, the entire world has turned upside—down. Almost everyone has been impacted by the pandemic after being forced to isolate and pursue their lives within the four walls of their house, till this trouble dies.

Unfortunately, not everyone has been able to deal with these times of crises in a healthy manner. With the entire foundation of everyone’s lives being shaken, the structure has collapsed; the routines have been destroyed. There is constant state of confusion that prevails in the minds of people as they have to constantly worry about what to do next, while trying to stay as productive as possible  and not waste away their days.

Here comes the role of routines; as humans thrive off of routines, forming an easy-to-follow routine can really help those feeling miserable in such confusing times.

Routines can be efficiently incorporated in our lives in pandemic in a number of ways:-

#1 CREATE A LIST

As our lives have been frazzled with a constant need to answer the question: “what to do next?” , forming a list of goals that can be achieved smoothly in a day helps us feel more fulfilled and productive. This ensures that when we go to bed at night, we sleep with a feeling of accomplishment.

#2 STAY HEALTHY

Whether it is to lose weight or a means of escapism from being cooped up within your house, exercising can provide us ease and peace as exercising produces endorphins or the ‘happy hormones’ in your body. Also, try to have meals 3 times a day in order to prevent binging on unhealthy snacks.

#3 EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS

With a major portion of our commute time to work/school being cut down, we surprisingly have a lot of time on our hands. Instead of wasting away the precious time, try to learn something new. It can be anything; picking up your once favourite past time of playing piano or learning a new language that could really help develop your CV.

#4 GET ADEQUATE SLEEP

A healthy sleep of 7 to 8 hours is necessary for our bodies to perform our best in our routinely tasks and stay on top of our game. However, with the beginning of the pandemic, people have really messed up their sleep schedules, which is quite unhealthy for them in the long run.

Hence, make sure to go to bed at the same time every night and get a good night’s rest to stay refreshed.

#5 TAKE BREAKS

While we set targets that have to be achieved everyday in order to be as active as possible, it quite essential to take short breaks between work. Play with your dog or try to make a cup of coffee for yourself. These breaks ensure a higher productivity in the various tasks that we execute throughout the day and at the same time, really enjoy the things that we do so life does not appear monotonous to us.

So, make sure to stay active but at the same time, take care of yourself!

Story of MBA Chaiwala

After reading the title you must be laughing at it but it the story of an entrepreneur or I could say a success entrepreneur who was struggling with himself and came up with this idea which proved a billion dollar deal to him. I know you would be interested to know the name and his journey but she journey is not always easy. Like there is a saying that life is not a bed of roses and that is applied here.

As I was going with my YouTube videos I saw a video of Prafull Billore yeah that’s the name and the thing which attracted me was the name MBA Chaiwala. It’s sound very funny but when I watched the video and the journey of him I was inspired. Like what a deal and what an inspiration one could get from him.

He was planning and decided to MBA like any other individual would go with giving the entrance exams and clearing it with good marks. But the idea was struck into his mind if starting his own business and then opened a roadside thela in Ahemdabad along with the utensils of chai that he bought in 45 days. He dropped from his college and started his business with his job also. He worked at a restaurant where he served burgers and that’s where he got the inspiration of his own food business.

The name was thought to be unique as in India customers come if the name is unique only. So it was named as Mr Billore A’bad Chaiwala. At chai point customers come ,have a cup of tea and forgets about their worries for sometime. Chai is a stress buster for us indeed.

Now he is well known name for the people and the network has become stronger . I’m sure that after reading the story of this startup you must also be thinking about it. Hope you will like reading it and I will try to bring more stories like this for my readers. Have a great day.

Thank you!!

On the border of Devprayag and Pratapnagar is the well known temple of Chandrabadni Devi, at the top of the mountain about 10 kms. north of Kandi Khal (on the Devprayag Kirti Nagar road). The legend says that the torso of Sati fell here and her weapons got scattered all around the place. Thus, even today a huge number of iron Trishuls (Tridents) and some old statues can be seen lying around the revered temple of Chandrabadni.
Chandrabadni commands a beautiful view of the Sirkanda, Kedarnath and Badrinath peaks. The temple is very small and contains a Shri-Yantra carved out on a flat stone instead of an idol. Traditionally, a cloth canopy is tied to the ceiling over this Shri-Yantra once a year by a Brahmin priest who is blindfolded. Road distance from Tehri Dam to Maa Chandrabadni Temple is 86 kms.
