Why I Quit Social Media?

These days a Netflix documentary is trending everywhere named “Socia Dilemma”. It will give you many surprises and shocks. How social media business model control you and how they made you a puppet. This documentary will tell you everything about it.
Why do we open a social media account? Just to connect with friends and family will be the common answer. But do we stick to that only? Surely, not. We chat with people, connect with many and get addicted to this routine. Okay, tell me about your routine. How many times do you sneak into your social media accounts in a day? It must be more than an hour I bet. But the harsh reality behind these social media platforms is that they always spy on us. They secretly watch everything you do on your phone. I’ll give you an example. Suppose you’re looking for an electronic device to buy, let’s say mobile online and searched for it on google. The next day or the same day, you will see mobile advertisements in all your social media handles. Even you didn’t ask for it but still, you’ll see the number of advertisements. Because these platforms live on advertisements and they make us a secret medium for it. Let me tell you, privacy is a myth.
The worst thing about it is it’ll make you a puppet. You will have our phone with you wherever you go. No matter how busy you are, you’ll be checking your phone. You will always crave for online likes, comments and shares. What will he/she reply? Why he/she is not replying me? Does that mean he/she is angry with me? Such numerous thoughts will always pop up in our minds snatching away our mental peace. Social media is one of the most prominent reasons for mental disorders these days. They will always keep you on the phone. They know your psychology better than yourself. What will be your next move, what are you expecting, they know everything. It’s the time when you try to move away from your phone and suddenly a notification pops up maybe a chat notification you were craving for.
Another thing about social media is there is so much negativity. Maybe it’s your personal account or your art page, you’ll receive negativity everywhere. Someone will try to give you threats via messages or someone will slide into your DMs with unsolicited pictures. People will appreciate your work and will also show hatred for now reason. It has become such a toxic place to be in. Now few will come in the support of social media saying it connects people, let’s you showcase your art, make you find people you lost and much more. And Yes I definitely agree to them to some extent. It’s totally up to your use. How you will use it will decide who will be on driver’s seat. If you use it with all your senses at the place, then you’ll drive it and even if you give them a small loophole, they will sneak in your mental peace and drive you the way they want.

It’s okay to be not okay sometimes!…

I was scrolling on my Instagram page and I received a message from a follower. He was a complete stranger to me. He started with a hi and then asked how are you. I straight out bashed him saying why are you asking me this. I don’t even know you. I shouted at him for no reason. Later I felt bad myself and apologised him. This continued with me all day long. Whenever my friend or family tries to talk with me, I was just shouting on them. Later my girl asked me what happened to me. But I replied with nothing. She kept on asking me again and again and it ended up I shouting and fighting with her. Later I went to my room, locked myself and I started crying. I didn’t even know why I was feeling so frustrated but I was feeling very low.
Have you guys ever felt like that? I bet most of you must’ve gone through this. As a human, there are always plenty of thoughts wandering in our mind. It might be positive or negative. But our brain keeps on doing its job of thinking and thus feelings like happiness or sadness grow in us. Sometimes so many things are going on in the back of our mind and the funny thing is we don’t even realise how they are affecting our regular emotions. It’s the time when we feel low without any reason. We keep on searching for a reason but fail to find one. This thing makes us more frustrated and then we shout and fight with our closed ones for no reason. Even we feel that we are doing wrong but our brain doesn’t help us in this.
So what to do in such case? Just give yourself some time. Sit back and relax. Now there and many techniques we can apply to get out of it. It’s up to you which applies to you and which not. We should go and sit in a silent and peaceful place. Some might find an isolated room and meditate there. Mediation could be the key 9 out of 10 times. Whenever we feel like surrounded by negatives thoughts, just meditate. You may not find any good results at first but if we continue it for long, we’ll definitely find good results. Another thing we can do is do what you love to do the most. Yes, I’m talking about your hobbies. Hobbies are one of the best stressbusters. Make time for your hobbies in such case. Draw a sketch, sing a song, write a poem, dance on your favourite song. Do whatever which will help you burst your stress. Another thing we can do is talk to kids. It’s my personal favourite. Kids are simply the angels sent by god. Talk to them, play with them. You won’t remember you were sad after a few minutes.
Actually we humans have so many emotions such as anger, love, hate, smiles, fear and many more. Usually, our mind forgets good things easily. But bad memories are preserved by it. These bad memories or the moments where we got hurt by our loved ones keep on playing in the back of our mind. This finally leads to the feeling of not feeling okay. Give it back to them at the only moment. If you’re angry with someone, go fight them, do whatever but sort it out. If somebody hurts you badly, go tell them. Tell them what they mean to you and how they hurt you. If you’ve some bad memories with someone in the past or you feel guilty, just forgive yourself and let it go. It’s the fact that we cannot undo things that happened in the past, maybe good or bad. Then, why do we need to carry the baggage for our life? Let it go. Don’t let things bothering you occupy your headspace. Make space for things which helps you grow, which will keep you happy and maintain peace. But we keep on searching for the cause and get only frustration in return. But if we divert ourselves with the above measures, we can be back to the actual okay state.

Good Things Take Time!…

There was a guy named Peter. He was good in studies since childhood. He couldn’t see anything but studies. He used to be a school topper every year. He completed his schooling securing the 1st rank. He got the admission in one of the best colleges in the city. He studied hard, attended all the lectures and scored very good marks in his 12th grade. But then he couldn’t make it again in the entrance examination. So he couldn’t secure a good rank in the entrance test.
He always had a dream to work for society. He felt engineering could be the bridge to take him there. So he got admitted to an engineering college. He tried to keep on performing well there as well. But he was struggling a bit. Even the failed in some subjects in 3rd year. But he didn’t give up. He took his time and completed his degree with good grades. Now he wanted to join one of the government agencies which serve the people. So he kept on preparing for exams to join those agencies. He gave two precious years of his life to crack the exams, but couldn’t make it. He always kept a dream in front of his eyes since childhood. But now he could see his dream falling apart. He never thought of anything but this in his life. He never had a plan B. Now every day he could hear people around saying he’s just wasting time, he’s doing nothing, he must be earning now. These things got him more into depression. Now he lost all the faith he had on himself. He felt like a loser. A scholar guy from school now was struggling and falling into the valley of depression. He now had the fear of exams. He began to underperform in exams thinking he’s not good enough. He couldn’t even express his feelings to anyone. All he used to do is to cry at night, hiding his tears from the world. An engineer guy was now feeling his value wasn’t even labour.
He never knew life would be so harsh to him. At times he felt like giving up but some dead hope made him hold on. One fine day, destiny turned its bad page. He got an opportunity to work as an assistant of the CEO of a laser cutting startup. It was related to his engineering field but as had lost self-belief, he felt like an illiterate. The startup CEO was a kind man. He saw the potential in Peter. He kept on boosting him and trying to make him realise what he really is. It took so much time but now Peter was feeling a bit confident. Now he felt that he isn’t garbage. Soon he regained the knowledge he forgot. Now he was using his ideas for the company and the owner was promoting it. After 2 years, he moulded himself back to his original avatar, which made him manager of the company. He started off when each of his friends had 1-2 years of experience but now just within two years of work, he was earning double than any of his friends. He kept working hard and reached the topmost position. He was now working with his boss as a partner and equal shareholder of the company.
The thing we should take from here is good things take time. You might be late as per the world but remember god must be planning something good in future. All you need to do is to keep faith in yourself and keep on trying.

Philosophical Readings

Reading for Understanding

First of all, a bit of context. Bear in mind that when you are reading philosophy what you are actually doing is trying to understand a piece of writing. This is remarkably different from other forms of reading, like — say — going through a newspaper page to collect information or reading a novel to enjoy a good story. Philosophical reading is an exercise in understanding and should be treated as such.

Philosophy Is About Arguing

Philosophical writing is persuasive writing. When you read a philosophical piece you are reading the opinion of an author who is trying to persuade you of the plausibility or implausibility of a position. Will you buy the author\’s position? To decide you\’ll need to fully understand the ideas being presented and the rhetorical strategies employed.

03
of 10

Take Your Time

Philosophical writings are dense and difficult. When reading, set realistic goals. While reading a page of a novel can take as little as thirty seconds, some pages in philosophy require at least ten minutes or even more.

04
of 10

What Is the Main Point?

Before actually starting to read, skim the paper to get a sense of the main point the author is trying to make and the structure of the piece. If it\’s an essay, read the first and last paragraphs in their entirety. If it\’s a book, look at the table of contents and go through the opening remarks. Once you\’ve skimmed the piece, you\’ll be better equipped to dive in and read the entire text intelligently.

05
of 10

Annotate

Keep a pencil and highlighter with you and mark down what seems to you the crucial passages: where the main thesis is stated; where key concepts are introduced; where key arguments or reasons are provided. Try also to get a sense also of the weakest points in the overall piece.

06
of 10

Think Critically

Your task as a philosophy reader is not just to take in information, as you would do with a biology textbook: you are engaging with an argument. You may agree or disagree — but either way, you need to know why you\’ve formed a particular opinion. As you\’re reading, look for flaws in the writer\’s argument, and mark them. If you\’re reading for a class, you\’ll almost certainly be asked to write or speak about your response to the writer\’s argument.

07
of 10

… But Don\’t Think on Your Feet

Philosophical criticism does not typically go well with speed-thinking. Philosophy is reflective: while it\’s perfectly OK to think while you are reading, you should go through your responses at least three times to be sure they really hold up. Your brilliant insights and criticisms may turn out to be poorly constructed. So, remember: be humble, patient, and meticulous.

08
of 10

Cultivate Philosophical Empathy and Self-Criticism

To build great philosophical reading skills you\’ll need to cultivate some philosophical empathy and self-criticism. Writing philosophy is challenging. Be empathetic: after you come up with some possible criticism, imagine taking the role of your opponent and try to answer your criticisms. This exercise can improve your understanding of a philosophical text dramatically, showing you viewpoints that were not clear to you before.

09
of 10

Keep Re-Reading

As you are sorting and fine-tuning your critical remarks, double-check the text to refresh your memory, sharpen your thoughts, and make sure you properly interpreted the author.

10
of 10

Engage in Philosophical Discussion

One of the best ways to understand and analyze a philosophical piece is to discuss it with others. It isn\’t always easy to find friends interesting in discussing philosophy at length — but often other members of your class will be willing to talk about the content of assignments. Together, you may come to conclusions you wouldn\’t have thought of on your own.

Jaat Panchyaat!…

You must have read it many times in the newspaper that a man was beaten with stones tieing him to the tree or a woman made to remove her clothes and roam around the village. Such news shook us. We feel ashamed as a human when we come across such news at the start of the day.
In such incidents, questions arise in our mind that who made him/her do that? What was the reason? Why didn’t she protest? How humans can be so cruel?. These cruel punishments are dictated by Jaat panchayat. Many of you must be knowing what it is, few of you didn’t know about it. So let me tell you. In the village and rural areas, people don’t follow government rules. They only follow the rules of their community(jaat). People of the community unanimously choose a team of certain people as panch. These panch make the judgements on any issue of the community. They don’t let any outsider peep in the judgements of the community. It would be completely okay if they would have given correct justice and punishments. But when we hear about the punishments they give, we feel disgusted. The families under guilt are hit with rocks and sticks. They don’t even spare women for such punishments. If someone of the community tries to oppose them, they simply throw them out of the community. So people are always in fear of getting thrown out of the community and bear all the injustice for the sake of society. These community judges even forget that they are punishing a human. They need to act human. They give punishments as they feel and nobody raises voice against them. They don’t even let police interfere in this. They put inhuman and toxic rules and everybody obeys them blindly. When they give judgements, they give it as per their convenience and personal agenda. People fear for their honour in society and fall prey to such injustice. In this mess, a family proven guilty has to suffer. They lose their present and beautiful future. This needs to stop, someday, somewhere!…

Termination Built An Entrepreneur!…

There was a village on the banks of river Ganga. There lived a guy named Dev. He was the son of a farmer. Since his childhood, he used to manage agricultural work along with his studies. He was a scholar. He always acquired 1st rank in his school. Though he was born in a poor family, he was very confident and never let poverty come in the way of his talent. When he grew up, he scored very good marks in his 12th grade and acquired admission in one of the best engineering colleges.
During the course of engineering, he always shined. He was top in studies, extracurricular activities. He always led activities and programs from the front. There was a time when he had no money to pay the college fees, at that time, everybody in college, teachers, as well as students, helped him to pay the fees. On that day, he felt so blessed to have such amazing people with him. In the final year, he was going through many job interviews, few companies didn’t like him, few he rejected by himself. Then one fine day, a car manufacturing giant company grabs him giving a thick package. He was happy as well as excited for this experience.
The atmosphere of the company was very much new for him. He was appointed in the design and automation department. He was so happy to work with this automobile giant. Design and programming always had a special place in his heart. He was working hard, doing all the tasks given with full enthusiasm. Whenever he had doubts, he used to go to his colleagues without any hesitation. He was improving his knowledge day by day. He was a great team member. He always helped his teammates and made impossible tasks possible. His team was also awarded as the best team of the year by the board. Within a year, he got a promotion for his performance and now he was working as a team lead on the project.
One day, his department received an order of a new design. Competitors of the company were manufacturing an electrically automated car and they were about to launch it in a month. Now the task for Dev and his team was to design the required model in 15 days, so that manufacturing team can pull up their sox and manufacture and launch the car before the rival company does. It was a mammoth task for such a short duration of time and the thing was HOD of the design department was on leave for 2 months. Now the responsibility was totally onto Dev. Each of his teammates knew that this task is impossible, so they were very sad and frustrated, but Dev didn’t give up. He backed himself, boosted his team and now everyone was ready to give their best shot. Dev and his team worked night and day continuously for 8 days. On 9th day, they finalised the design with advanced features than the rival model. On 12th day, his design got approval from the manufacturing department. On day 14, m/f department was at their job. Manufacturing department worked hard, night and day, even design department helped them to make it quick. Everyone from both the departments was giving their best shot. All these efforts turn out to be fruitful and their model was on the floor on 28th day, two days before rival’s launch.
The model launched became very much successful. They captured the market with huge sales. Everybody was praising the design and manufacturing team leads. Dev and his friend Joy(manufacturing team lead) were very happy watching their efforts turning into a success. Even the board of directors called them and praised them for their work.
Everyone in the company was very happy except the two HOD’s, one of the design department and other of the manufacturing department. As they came back from a business tour, this was a surprise with a shock for them. Two newly joined juniors of their department made such impossible project possible. Now they could see their position in danger. Instead of praising Dev and Joy for their work, they kept on demoralising them. They keep on bashing them for no reasons. All they could see was the new car project they made successfully. Bringing them down became the motto for both HOD’s. Both of them had a good hold on the board of directors. They used to listen to the suggestions given by them. Then one day, both the HOD’s unitedly prepared fake account papers stating about the fraud of 50 crores in the manufacturing and design department for the electrically automated vehicle project. They even compromised a few employees promising them for promotion. They presented these papers in front of the board of directors. Board could see evidence along with witnesses. Even the BOD knew somewhere that Dev and Joy can’t do this, but they had solid evidence in front of them. Both Dev and Joy tried to convince them that they are innocent but failed. So both of them were proven guilty and were terminated from the company. They fought the case in the court and these took several years.
When they got a clean chit, both of them tried to get a job. But no company was ready to give them a job as per their past records. They felt so helpless. They were suffering for the crime they didn’t even commit. They kept on trying for a job for a year but failed.
One day, they decided to start their own venture. They bought a place on lease and began their journey. Dev used to design the product and Joy used to manufacture them. At first, they were not getting much response from the customers. But with bits and pieces and a lot of hard work, they settled themselves in the market. They focused on laser cutting business. Many automobile companies tied up with them for cutting of raw materials. After a few years of hard work, they became a renowned name in the laser cutting industry. Later they expanded their business to two-wheeler manufacturing and then four-wheeler manufacturing. Now there was nothing stopping them. They kept going working hard. After a few years and a lot of hard work, they captured the automobile market on a larger scale. People could only see vehicles of their company on the road. There came a time when the automobile giant which threw them out was at a heavy loss. It was about to shut down. But at this time, both Dev and Joy showed that they have a big heart and bought the company. The company which threw them out with false allegations got a new life only because of them. Success couldn’t be any better than this for Joy and Dev.

Everything is ONLINE!…

In the world of the pandemic, office work is a myth. Interviews turned into phone calls, business deals turned into virtual meets, committee meeting turned into zoom virtual get-togethers.
Many people even lost their jobs just because they couldn’t handle computer and operate the company’s online portal, that’s when everybody felt the need that why ” online” is important. “Online” doesn’t always mean sitting in front of the laptop for 8-9 hours doing repetitive work. We can go online simply with our phones. From games to groceries, from e-commerce shopping to marketing and selling your product, the virtual world plays a magnificent role.
You must’ve heard stories from your parents and grandparents that they had to walk several km just to go to school and come back walking the same. They must’ve even told you about how they used to rush hours before the office timings just to catch the bus and be there on time. But now things took a drastic change. Now even nursery kids learn with online classes. Teachers assign them tasks and they submit it with a soft copy. Now talking about online jobs, here you don’t need to rush for catching the bus, you don’t even need to walk several miles, but just need to do simple things. Dress up well, make yourself presentable and open your laptop and go on, that’s it. This is how things got simpler with online jobs. Here, you don’t always need to be physically present at a place called “office”. No matter wherever you are, at home, at a wedding, on a trip or somewhere else, still you can get your job done. Just sit for a while, complete the assigned tasks and you’re free.
Now many employees who got WFH to keep on blaming the network connection just to avoid their work. But I feel these excuses won’t work for many days. With the continuous upgradations happening in the network industry, everyone will be having a proper network connection at whichever remote place they are in.
Yesterday, I saw an advertisement looking for a manager. I was like, how, how this will work? The manager needs to be on the field for the proper functioning of the team but then I realised these electronic devices will get the job done. Now the whole administrative work can be done sitting at home. The administrator can keep a check on the work employees doing. Even if he finds some mistakes or some laziness towards work, he can straight out call the employee. He can rectify him on a phone call or a zoom meeting.
There is a thing we hear at times. Most of the corporate issues/problems can be solved simply on a call. You don’t need to be there at some place. Now-a-days, doctors are also on the ground of virtual world. During the period of this pandemic, many doctors turned themselves into a virtual instructor. They just have a virtual meeting with their patients, ask them symptoms and history and then prescribe tablets or ask for a proper hospital checkup.
Now many of you must be feeling like online jobs are related to only certain field of work i.e. IT industry. But the fact is with the increase in need of design and automation, mechanical field is moving towards the online world. Design engineers and machine programmers now work online and get their job done. Even after the end of this pandemic, people will still have the fear to go out to buy something or to eat. That’s why online market will drive the world in the upcoming days. So to fulfil the needs of the service, online market will rise and so does online jobs.

My Brain Needs You, Pal!…

Linda used to study in a law college. She was an all-rounder. She was good in academics, good in sports, good in extracurricular activities, good in student’s council. She was very famous in her campus and everybody loved her. She had a lot of friends. One day, she was chilling in the canteen with friends. During the conversation, she told them that she is seeing a therapist(psychiatrist) and BANG! All her friends became silent. Everybody escaped from the canteen one by one. Linda couldn’t figure out what was going on. Looking for an answer, she went home.
Linda was going through extra stress and anxiety, that’s why she was taking the treatment.
The next day, Linda reached her friends and tried talking to them but nobody gave her a response. They walked out in front of her. Nobody was talking to her, she was left alone. She felt so bad as she wasn’t at all used to it. She was a talkative human and everybody loved her, but now she was left all alone. This went on for a few days and then Linda stopped coming to college and to her disgrace, nobody even blinked an eye. Then, on one worst day, everybody received the news that she killed herself. Now each of her so-called friends was feeling bad and mourning on social media. But it all remained with if’s and what-ifs!..
Everyone reading this must be feeling sad right now. But it’s the truth we all know. This happens with all of us, maybe with us or we act like this to others. We leave our friends and loved ones in the time when then need us the most. When I was at home, our old classmate joined our flat and within a day or two, my roommates threw him out of the flat. He was suffering from some mental illness and everybody got scared keeping him with them. The friend who was with us for 4 years was left alone when he was ill and later he was admitted. I felt very bad when I came back. Someone really close to me was going through such illness, so I knew it very well. If we have a fever or some physical disease, then people visit us asking for our health, the family takes us to the doctor in time. But when it’s about mental health, everybody tries to avoid it. The family try to hide it, friends stay away from us when they get to know and in this mess, treatment gets late and disease takes over the person. There are many mental conditions such as depression, mania, schizophrenia, and this can happen to anyone. Yes in very few cases, it is genetical but in most of the cases, it gets triggered because of real-life events. Most of the patients get treated well and win over the disease if handled well and within time. Now many will ask me, yes you’re right but how can we help them as we don’t know anything, then why should we take the blame later getting into it. So guys remember the time before the disease when this friend stood by your side in worst situations and now it should be your turn. I feel anyone will prefer helping them rather than mourning when they’re gone.
So what can you do? Just be there for them. These diseases don’t rise in a day, they do take time. We just need to keep an eye and observe our loved ones. Anxiety, stress, overthinking, lost attention in work, lost appetite could be the symptoms. If we could catch it early, then we will win for sure and if ignore it, then it might get fatal. We just need to be there for them, boost their confidence, keep them busy, surround them with positivity and positive thoughts. Meditation plays a magnificent role in conquering these diseases. Today it’s your friend, tomorrow it might be you. Control these diseases before they start controlling your loved ones. Make brain your friend, not the enemy. Take the pledge that you won’t ignore your mental health. The most important thing, let’s heal them with love and affection and not hatred. MENTAL HEALTH IS IMPORTANT, DON’T IGNORE, HEAL YOURSELF!…

Work From Home – New Normal!…

I was working in an IT multinational company. I used to work daily for 9-10 hours in my office. Come by 9am, get the work done, have lunch and teatime with colleagues was my daily routine. We used to go for a trek or clubs on weekends. So basically I was very happy with my life. Then one not so fine day, a human(inhuman) from china had cravings for raw bat meat and he gifted the whole world this pandemic.
As the number of cases in india were increasing, everybody was rushing back to homes. As they say, “trouble reminds you of your home”. So I also rushed to my home. It took me 1-2 days to adjust with the change of place. Then the very next day, I received an email from company asking for work from home. Firstly, I felt frustrated, because all my mechanical branch friends were having a proper holiday but here I was, working from home. But later, I understood the fact that keeping ourselves safe from this disease is one thing but earning for the family is must.
For first I was just frustrated with my WFH. The internet connection was poor at times. So I had to install new WiFi service. I used to work all day long. But the plus point was the homemade food. I always missed the food made by my mother when I was away. But now I could have it any time of the day. After few days, I was enjoying the WFH life. I could do my job and be with my family at the same time. After my graduation, I never had enough time to sit with my parents and have some words, freely. But this situation brought us closer. Now we sit together every day after dinner and chitchat till we fall asleep.
But nothing could stop me from concentrating on my work. I kept on working hard, finishing the assigned tasks in time, discussing with seniors, guiding juniors. I worked as I used to when at the office. Even the company was appreciating my efforts and it felt so good, a feeling of satisfaction. After few days, I even got a promotion. WFH was a new way to live life but now it became new normal for me.

Sex…Still a taboo?..

SEX…Oops!. I broke the stereotype of running away from this topic. Yes, even we are 130 crore population but ironically sex is still a taboo here. Generations after generations, we’ve been running from talking about sex, neither grandparents told this to our parents nor they tell us. Even a condom advertisement on the television make us feel uncomfortable just because we never talked about it. Sex is still a curiosity for a teenager. When parents and even teachers keep this as a secret, it adds into the curiosity. When a human hits puberty, it’s normal that he/she gets attracted to opposite sex, harmones rule them in this age. But the thing is nobody know the real science. So porn which is abundantly available on the internet becomes the saviour. These innocent teenagers go through such stuff and then they start exploring. The tag “relationship”works in the name of exploring the opposite sex and our body needs. In this cyclone of curiosity, things go beyond limit at times. Now the blame game begins, because whoever accepts sex as a need will be called characterless by the society. This goes to heartbreaks and emotional breakdowns. But they forget that their partner is of the same age and also learning things as you are. Now the society “4 log” will come into the picture. Everyone will judge you by all means and you’ll also try to prove partner guilty in the fear of society. The thing is these 4 long don’t even care. Our loved ones, family and friends will stay by our side.
Now here’s my question, can this be avoided?
Yes, together we can. Instead of running away from it, lets talk about it. Let’s educate ourselves and the upcoming generations rather than protest after something bad happens. Let’s not hesitate, let’s educate!…

My Body – My pride!…

Have you every watched yourself standing infront of the mirror NAKED?. I bet most of you will say No. But why?, because we never loved our body. We grew up watching people teasing and judging each other by their body shape, size and color. “Look he’s so fat, looks like a balloon”
“Hey, why do you need a table, you’ve your own belly”
“Ohh you’re so dark, nobody will marry you”
“He’s wandering without a shirt, he should’ve shaved the body hair atleast. He looks like a gorilla wandering on the beach”
“She’s wearing a sleeveless and she didn’t even shave her underarms,Eww!”
We all grew up hearing such stuff including people commenting about our eyes, nose, hair, height and even sizes of sexual parts.
This hammering since the childhood made us hate our bodies. Even if we face mirror naked by mistake, we rush to cover ourselves up, cause this feeling that we lack something, we are not good is always there in back of our mind making us hate what god has given us.
But the basic thing is people are nobody to judge you regarding your body. You can grow body fat as you want, grow body hair anywhere you want, unless and until it’s causing use some physical trouble, don’t try to hesitate loving your body. People gonna say, even if your transform yourself from fat to fit or grew hair on your head. They will always have something to say. But it’s your self confidence which will make you love your body. Just give it a try. Explore yourself. Observe every mole, every scar, every stretch mark the life gave you till now. Cry one or two times if you want, but then feel proud of yourself the way you are. You’ll definitely feel strong and your confidence will rise high. Even I’ve tried to feel myself positive towards my body. Though I haven’t succeeded in it totally but I’m sure I’ll reach there soon. The feeling of liberation when we’re confident of whatever we have inside out is what we actually crave for. That’s why I’ve so much respect for boudoir artists. I mean we don’t even dare to face the mirror and they face the camera with pride. What an amazing level of self acceptance they’ve. They accepted themselves the way they are and carry that much pride to flaunt. I even interacted with few of them and they told me how it helped them to boost their confidence, how they feel positive inside out. If they can, then we also can! And yes it’s not necessary to face the camera always. Be yourself. Take pride in it. Even if you atleast start loving your body, it’s a clear win for you. Say it with pride, I’m proud of my body and I’m not ashamed!…

Battle with the wild!…

“Hold on! Hang in there. Don’t move. I’ll help you”.Ronnie shouted.
Ronnie and michael came for an adventure trip in amazon jungle along with their friends. But before they could begin the hike, their helicopter crashed. None of their friends could survive, but Ronnie and Michael jumped with parachutes at the right moment so they survived. But Michael couldn’t make it to the ground, his parachute got stuck in the trees and now he was hanging up there.
Ronnie threw a rope to Michael and somehow he managed to bring him down. Both were very tired, with bruises on their body, totally devasted by what happened with their friends. Michael’s leg was cut at places while coming down. Michael and Ronnie were college friends with newly grown mustache, average physique who came here just to have fun with their friends, but destiny had some other plans.
They were active trekkers and hikers but with all the required equipments but here they had nothing. They were stuck in a dangerous forest without anything to help. They sat still without uttering a word for few hours. Then finally Ronnie spoke up,”Look Michael, I know we are at heavy loss but it’s only two of us right now and we need to survive, so let’s forget everything happened”. Michael agreed with him but both of them didn’t know how to survive. They only saw such situation in TV programme but now it was in reality. It was getting dark, so they decided to light up fire. They tried wood friction technique but it didn’t work. But they kept on trying it for a hour. Finally they built a fire. They had nothing to eat, no bed to sleep on but a strong hope to survive. They climbed up a tree and slept on the branches. The night was filled with voices of wild animals.
When they woke up in the morning, Michael was bit gloomy but Ronnie was full of energy. He had only one thing in mind, that’s to survive and get back home safe. Ronnie removed his shirt and made a fishing net out of it. Ronnie went to catch some fishes to eat while Michael was trying to figure out the way to get out of the jungle. Ronnie knew that there are crocodiles in the water but they had no choice. Ronnie brought some fishes to eat and they finished it within no time as they were very hungry. After having some food, they began their journey in north direction. Michael made a weapon using a stick and stone in case of emergency. They kept on walking but couldn’t find any human traces. They walked for a day but couldn’t find any human. As it was getting dark, they decided to halt. They built a temporary tent out of leaves and bushes on a branch of the tree. They lit up fire and went in their tent. When they were about to sleep, a snake came in front of Michael, it was a black mamba ready for attack. Michael got so scared that he couldn’t utter a word. He was shivering and his legs were shaking. Mamba made a move to bite, but before he could do that, Ronnie grabbed it and killed it with weapon. Michael gave a sigh of relief, but still he was shivering. Ronnie comforted him and then they went to sleep.
When they woke up in the morning, their bodies were full of mosquito bites and turned red. It was burning, they were unable to handle it. So they went to nearby pond to bath. After bath they drank water from the same pond. As they drank water from the pond, both of them started vommiting. The water was polluted. They were vommiting continuously and their bodies were getting dehydrated but they kept on walking. After a while, they found a waterfall. As the water was flowing, they knew it’s safe. So they drank water from the waterfall and continued walking, their bodies were about to give up but their courage did not. Now they could see houses of tribes at a distance. They were happy and relaxed thinking they’ll survive now. But then they noticed some movement in the bushes. There was something big there for sure. Michael spotted it and asked Ronnie to run. It was a tiger. As they started running, tiger started chasing them. While running, Ronnie fell down in a puddle and his leg got stuck there. He tried to come out but failed.Michael tried pulling him out but it wasn’t enough. Ronnie said, “Michael, Don’t think of me. You just go. Run away. Nothing will happen to me”. Michael wasn’t at all ready to leave him dying. But Ronnie forced him to leave. Michael ran away and the tiger came and killed Ronnie. Michael succeeded to escape and reached the tribal area. When he reached there, he sat down and started crying. He was blaming himself for Ronnie’s death. But now, he was the only one who survived the battle. He then came home and on the next day he was everywhere in the news telling the story of his survival.

“Hey Michael, wake up! It’s time to go. The amazon trip is on”, said Ronnie. Michael woke up with disgust, then he realized it was a just a dream but the real thriller is yet to happen!…

Humanity no more!…

In the dense forest of kambini national park, there lived a tigress called maya with her a year old cub zilmil. Maya was agile and strong tigress with long teeth and a beautiful pattern on her body. She ruled her territory like a queen. Zilmil was a female cub, just a replica of her mother. Maya used to teach her hunting and watch her struggle while attempting it. Both were happy together. Zilmil used to play with her mother, dance on her body and maya used to appreciate it by licking her. There was so much love in between them.
One day, hunters came into the jungle. Maya was aware of the fact that this day would come in her life for once. But zilmil was her priority. So she hides her behind bushes and goes in front. The hunter was pointing his gun towards maya. But she looked fearless. At that moment, she was not just a tigress but a mother with a fire within to protect her kid. Maya jumped furiously towards the hunter. But before she could attack, the hunter shot her down with a bullet. The hunter’s assistant asked him,’How did you do that?’. “Hunting is bread for me and enjoy killing them” he replied with a devil’s smile.
As zilmil saw her mother down in pain, she tried to attack the hunter jumping on him. But she was just a kid. The hunter grabbed her in one hand and shot her. Now both of them were down and took the final breath.
When Maya and zilmil reached the heaven, Zilmil asked maya, “What was our fault maa?” “We believed they are humans”, she replied.

VIRGINITY-NOT a definition of character!…

It was arranged marriage, a doctor guy marring an engineer girl, both were modern enough as they studied in metro cities. After all the rituals, it was time for their first night. White bedsheets decorated with roses were arranged in their room. When both were entering in the room, aunt of the groom said, “We need to check the sheets tomorrow”and everyone laughed.
But she was scared. Both were sitting on the bed. He saw her tensed face and asked her what’s wrong. She told him”I’m not virgin”. His reply was calm and casual”so what?I’m also not”. We both had relationships in the past which didn’t end up well and that’s completely okay, said the groom. But she was still scared. She said, We live in a village with people of typical mindset, they’ll judge me when they’ll get to know about this tomorrow. Then he said, I married you the way you are and nothing else matters for me and if you’re scared that something bad will happen because of this, then it’s my promise that I’ll be there by your side no matter what. I’ll tell them that I’m also not and if then also some mess happens, then I’ll face all the consequences along with you whatever it may be. I’m not gonna leave you, don’t you worry! Tears rolled down her cheeks by his words and she felt herself lucky that she got the perfect soulmate for life!….

RAPE SURVIVOR!…

I have the right to live. Will you please let me?…

I’m not gonna call them VICTIM as it’ll look like sympathy to the weak, but they are not. They faced toughest days of their life, fought for justice and won the battle.
When such incidents happen in our country, we see vigorous outrage and anger in the society. We see people protesting, carrying out candle marches and much more. This even gives the justice as per our judiciary system to the one.
BUT, what after that? If the person loses battle of life in this, then there’s no question about the society. But if, by God’s grace if the person survives, then the real battle against society begins. The human being has been already tortured now face cruel society. Without even a mistake, everyone will judge her. Everybody will give stern looks for the sins she didn’t even commit. The loop of what to wear, how to sit, how to walk, whom to talk, when to go out begins again, that’s where the person actually needs emotional support but what we do as society?, judge them. Let me ask a question to the boys here, “will you marry a rape survivor?” I’m sure 99%will say NO. Why? Because everyone thinks it was her mistake. We’ve grown up in a male dominant society where women are always given less rights. This attitude from ages even made women in the house think like they lack something, they can’t carry whole family on their shoulders. But this all is a myth. Every human has equal capabilities of doing this, it’s just our perception. If something bad happens in her/his life, then also she has equal right to live her life at fullest. We as a society should come forward to boost their confidence and bring their life back on track. We need to kill the taboo of MAN things and WOMAN things. We need to educate ourselves and our coming generations. We need to work for a better tomorrow and I’m sure we will!…
