The Pegasus Spyware

Spyware is a software with malicious behaviour with an objective to accumulate the details about an individual or organization and send it to the another entity (whether individual or org) that intend to harms the user. It violates the privacy of a person or firm and endangered their devices. One such spyware is Pegasus.

Pegasus, originally an Israeli spyware, named after the mythical winged horse Pegasus, can be transmit flying through the air to infect phones. It has potential to read the messages, tracking calls, stealing passwords, location tracking, accessing target mobile’s microphone and camera. It is created by NSO group, an Israeli technology firm.
Back in August 2018, it is for the first time discovered in India, that led to the investigation and revealed its existence. And now become the ‘most sophisticated smartphone attack’ ever.

Current scenerio in India-

2019, Facebook initiated a suit against NSO, asserting that Pegasus has been used to seize the whatsapp communication of atleast 300 individuals in India including Journalists, bureaucrats, activists and even ministers too. It has now become a topic for debate in parliament since the allegations are made against the government spying on its own citizens and invading into their private life. The NSO’s claim that only governments are their customers and not the private entities has made these proclaimation strong. According to NSO, Pegasus and other spyware are exclusively exported to government entities for the purpose of preventing and scrutinize crimes and to counter terrorism.  Pegasus has now snooping into people’s lives illegitimately due to its nature to obtain information outside the boundaries of law.

Two acts, in this regard are made i.e.  Information Technology Act of 2000 and Telegraph Act 1885 and these both acts  criminalise hacking. Telegraph Act 1885, deals with the interception of calls allowing government to intercept calls only in certain conditions. Similarly, IT Act of 2000 enacted to intercept all the electronic transmission. To use Pegasus like spyware, government would have to invoke both the Acts and the government has claimed that all interception in India takes place lawfully.

Constitution of India guarantees the freedom of thought, speech and expression (Article 19) and Right to privacy. These are the fundamental rights of an individual protected by Supreme court and significant for a nation to identify itself as a democracy.

How can you be a Good Investor?

People like you who want to achieve success by reaching their financial purposes like paying for your academy, owning a house, or is it your retirement plan you want.

The question comes to your mind: What single out the most profitable investors from the rest? If we talk about this it’s a pure practical game, and in that, a standard investor uses his money and invests the rest of his income, whereas a good investor invests his existing money and uses the rest.

Here we want to show you some directions that will take you to the path of being a “Good Investor”.

Don’t try to be an expert, be ” Habitual” about it.

How much are you earning? It doesn’t matter anymore, the most important thing is that you’ve started earning, and if you’re earning then you should make sure that whatever your earnings are, you should save a safe amount of money.

When we think about savings, we think about how much money we should save? Let’s just give it several 15 to 30% of your income you should , and do you want to save that much or not it’s just up to you and up to your expenses. But one thing you should keep in mind is that if your savings are in higher numbers the better you can invest and grow. In India, finance is kind of a subject that people used to talk less about with each other and when it comes to investing, the topic becomes more intimidating for us, but just keep in mind that we are experiencing these things and we’re not professionals.

3 things that you should be confident about.

– I will make a serious and effective habit to save and invest. I will deal with it very patiently when it comes to financial things.

– Where and How much I am investing my money, I know that it will grow.

– Now, You are having a clear and crisp vision about investing that you’ve discussed with your colleagues, friends, or financial experts.

What can you do with your money?

Although it is your money, your expenses and it is your choice where you can invest, well let us show you the best options where you can try to invest.

Low risk will give you low returns. If you want to play very safe and stay low in investing then investments like Public provident funds (PPF), Fixed deposits, and RBI Bonds will be good for you.

Middle-class people’s valuable investments in mutual funds and systematic investment plans (SIP). However investing in mutual funds holds a little bit of risk, where we all know that it is the best way to provide better returns than most fixed-return investments.

Higher risks meant for ‘Billionaire Minds’ capitalizing in some start-up investments, cryptocurrencies, stocks, and real estate can give you a huge amount of money but, you have a high risk to lose everything.

How to “divide” your money?

So while you’re young, you should try to play more high-risk, high-reward-paying games that will give you higher returns.

But it’s completely up to you whether you want to invest there or not, you should keep one thing in mind that you can only be able to take big financial risks before you get married and settle down.

Try to save more amount of money from your salary and while investing in high-risk investments, start to continue investing in low-risk options and that will ensure you’ll get low returns throughout your life.

Physical assets matters forever.

Money which you’re getting it isn’t real, your savings account is not real, why? Because it is not in your hands, it’s just an illusion that you’re having money but that illusion can buy you a Real thing and that is called “Physical assets”

Nothing will remain with you throughout your life but if you’ve somewhere invested in gold and silver it will stay with you throughout your life.

You never know what will happen in the future, so it will be your physical assets that you will need.

So from early on, make sure that a fraction of your savings should be invested in gold and silver.

Being social will make you grow.

We live in India and we are very lucky to have so many diverse communities, various character qualities, so identify those communities admire them, and learn that how they are good with their wealth.

Keeping good behavior with the communities like Gujaratis, baniyaas, marwadis, Sindhis, Parsis will make you realize and learn how to play with your money. For money,

advice asks elders from these communities and more than that, creates a sweet bond between you and these communities.

Try to be with the young and successful people, because if you create good contact with them and if you ask them right and questions, they’ll share their knowledge with you. And it  is an advantage to know about tried and tested techniques in investing.

Conclusive suggestions.

The savings account will not accumulate for your bright future, keep in mind. It is nice that you need to make your money safe and it is good to have ‘liquid cash’ because it will help you to deal with quick expenses but, this is not the proper way to multiply your money and it will not achieve your financial goals which you except in your life.

For now, use your parent’s network, and your network to learn more about finance, and try to receive good advice from the people who’ve done it before you.

For the future, how to figure out all this by knowing the downside that you need a huge amount of money to be working with the reputed finance professionals out there.

Start listening to the financial podcasts and that will be your greatest weapon, If you wish to multiply your money, invest your energy in the correct learning sources. Reading Books are great but Podcasts are fast and great.

Overcome Demotivation and Restlessness

Photo by Andrew Neel on Pexels.com

Feeling demotivated , restless and anxious is not pleasant. It can make it more difficult for you to work , to be creative and to feel better.

Sometimes, our lack of motivation has a clear root. Identifying it can help us address it and reduce the feelings of restlessness. Here are few strategies that will help you overcome this and create a optimistic and productive mindset.

TAKE A BREAK

Sometimes, restlessness comes from too much work or too much routine. Our brain needs a bit of rest and novelty. Take a break without worrying too much about problems and you will come back energized and ready to take on the situation

DO HANDS-ON WORK

Often, we tend to get too stuck on our digital devices or too caught up in our heads. Instead, go and do something that involves interacting with real world. Clean a room, Organize your desk, water the plants or do some gardening.

SCHEDULE SOMETHING FUN

A common reason for the lack if motivation us the feeling that our day is going to be dull and unpleasant. You can address it by scheduling something fun for later. Once you’re done with work, you will know that there is something truly enjoyable waiting for you and this can help you focus more on work and not on procrastination and give your day a sense of meaning.

SELF-CARE

Check to make sure you have eaten or grab a snack. Drink enough. Take a nap or lie down, if possible. Move your body. Do something that helps you feel good, even if it’s just writing for few minutes, having a favorite snack or meditating for a while. Check with your body and see what you need at the moment.

SET A DEADLINE

Work and chores tend to occupy as much time as we give them. If you have a whole day to finish a task, it might take you a whole day. If you have two hours, you will finish in those two hours. A good tip to reduce restlessness is set a deadline that will push you to start acting now. It will help you get into action right away. However, to respect the deadline you set for yourself and stop working when you said you would.

Distorted history,lead to identity crises!

“A generation which ignores history has no past and no future.”

Robert Heinlein

History plays important role in making of nation.even if its culture, economy, traditions, values, education or public mindset. All happening in present is reflection of past “karma’. So to transfer real history to next generation is job of any society.it is because What happening in past is seen only by our elder not by ours,so it is necessary that the truth and fact based history must carried forward, otherwise it will lead to creating chaos in society.

The Case of India

In case of India the history what we read currently is seems not only distorted but its also use an tool of propaganda by some “Fictional Historian” who in daylight are something else.In our history books we only read and read about “Delhi sultanate or Mughal Empire” but we don’t know about that, Rana Hammir singh capture the Delhi sultan Mohammed bin tughlaq and imprisoned him 3 months.do you ever read that Cholas have biggest naval power at that time in world ? Do you ever think how we made massive monolithic architectures in world at that time without using any machinary ? do the present historian think about repercussions of unreal or half truth of history on society ? No, they not think like that because they were manipulated by some mischieves masters who really not think about the nation future. What india currently face. The divide between Hindu-Muslim,Aryan-Dravidian,Brahmins-Non-Brahmins..it’ll lead us nowhere,we must put history through inclusive mind not through our exclusivity, the represention of all in our history programmes not only gave pride but also strengthen our social order.

The importance of Miedeval india not more than the Ancient one, what we see today in our daily society is come from ancient world.India is first in world where Indus valley civillisation ( IVC ) use bricks in proper ratio, have drainage system, pattern in roads etc.The importance of India is grow more when we knows that india specially “Sanatan”Sanskriti is last ancient civillistion on face of Earth,so it is our duty to protect its valuable wisdom, tradition from distortion of West and waste historians.

Conclusion

Remember always whosoever try to distort history or past, the future will show no mercy on them.

SDMC issued 20k death certificates in April-June

Thursday, 22 July 2021  New Delhi

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) issued over 20,000 death certificates between April and June when the city was reeling under the second wave of Covid-19, municipal officials said.

According to data provided by the SDMC, it issued 3,351 death certificates in April, 10,209 in May and 6,832 in June.

Officials attributed the increase in death registrations to the second wave of Covid-19 and clearing of backlog of data.

“As compared to April, the number of death certificates is about 204% higher in May because of the Covid-19 second wave. While the figure in June is about 103% higher than that of April.

“The maximum number of deaths occurred either in May or in the last leg of April during the Covid second wave. So kin of most of the deceased who applied for death certificates got the documents in May and June,” a senior SDMC official told PTI on condition of anonymity.

Civic officials clarified that these death registrations also include normal deaths and they do not necessarily reflect the total death count due to Covid in that particular month.

Some civic officials also said that other than the Covid-19 second wave, there was backlog of data due to technical issues and it was cleared in May and June, leading to a rise in the numbers of death registrations.

In April-May, Delhi was hit by a brutal second wave of the pandemic, which claimed a number of lives every day, and oxygen supply shortage was reported at various hospitals.

All-rounder Deepak chahar destroyed Lankans dreams in the 2nd ODI.

Chahar and bhuvaneshwar in the 2nd ODI

Lankans won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers minod Minod Bhanuka and Avishka Fernando added 59 runs in powerplay. Yazuvendra chahal broke this partnership and Minod 36(42) hit one delivery to Manish Pandey at midwicket and he made no mistake. On the very next ball, new man Bhanuka rakjpaksha edged the delivery to Ishan kishan and returned to pavilion with a golden duck.

Then, avishka Fernando and Dhananjay de selva continued the innings and added few runs between them. Avishka after reaching his fifty falled to Bhuvaneshwar,he scored 50 of 71. Deepak chahar got rid of Dhananjay 32 of 45 with a knuckle ball, shanaka 16 of 24 was bowled by chahal and Hasranga 8 of 11 was bowled over by chahar. Aslanka continued the scoreboard ticking and registered his maiden fifty and soon fall to Bhuvaneshwar,he scored 65 of 68. Karunaratne 44 of 33 landed some blows at end to take his side to 275/9. Bhuvaneshwar and chahal bagged 3 wickets each while deepak chahar took 2 wickets.

Chasing 275,Shaw and Dhawan opened the Indian innings and shaw hit 3 boundaries and was looking in good touch. Lankans introduced Hasranga and he got rid of shaw 13 of 11 with a googly. Kishan 1 of 4 soon followed with falling to Rajitha.

Dhawan 29 of 38 tried to carry the innings but Hasranga got better of him and he was strucked on pad and review got Lankans his wicket. Manish Pandey 37 of 31 , was striking well but he was unlucky to be run out. then, Hardik Pandya chipped one straight to midwicket to fall for a duck. Suryakumar Yadav continued the fight at the other end and scored a fluent fifty. Krunal Pandya sttruggled but managed to hang in there. Lakshan Sandakan trapped Suryakumar 53 of 44 leg-before-wicket and few overs later,Hasaranga castled Krunal 35 of 54 . Victory seemed easy to Lanka at that time and match was in their control.

After, that Bhuvneshwar and Chahar took the game deep. Chahar hit a massive six off Sandakan in the 43rd over and followed it up with two more boundaries in the next over to reach his fifty. Some streaky boundaries added to Sri Lanka’s woes and eased India’s path to victory eventually as the match was completed with five balls to spare. Bhuvaneshwar scored 19 of 28 and Chahar made 69 of 82. For his all-round performance Deepak chahar was given ‘Player of the match’ award.

Hasranga bagged 3 wickets and Rajitha,Shanaka and Sandakan got 1 wicket each.

T-20 world cup is near and India in chahar may have discovered an All-rounder. We’ve seen him landing few blows in IPL, but it was new for us in Indian Jersey. India will look to clean sweep the Lankans while Lankans will play for their pride in the last match,as they’ve nothing to loose now.

Things to learn from the Japanese

Photo by Engin Akyurt on Pexels.com

Japanese people have a unique way of living that provides many lessons for people willing to open their minds and understand their incredible culture. Japan boasts a nation of people who are incredibly kind, good-natured and polite.

The few things I learnt from them are :

REVERENCE TO PEOPLE

Japanese are masters of showing respect. Whether it’s the way they greet people they don’t know or their incredible attention to detail when it comes to developing relationships. The Japanese are mindful of respect at all times.

HARDWORK TO ACHIEVE GOALS

They work extremely hard to achieve their goals. Its for this reason that they’re one of the most pioneering, forward thinking nations on the planet! They work really hard in their careers, so they can support their families and work on self-growth.

VISIONARIES

Japan has some of the most pioneering technology companies on the planet, including Toyota, Nippon and Honda. The country has propelled its technological advancements to the forefront of human history. We must learn to believe in our vision, even if no one has achieved that.

DISCIPLINED LIFE

Discipline is akin to respect in Japan. To be disciplined is not to give in to your urges but to live a life that is respectable and based on profound will to do good for people.

CLEALINESS

In Japan, there is a general obsessiveness with cleanliness that starts in the home and extends to public spaces like parks and schools. It certainly makes the country an extremely pleasant place to be.

Colonial Pipeline Attack

On May 7, 2021, Colonial pipelines went through one of the biggest cyber attacks. The hackers broke into the computer system that eventually impacted the computerized equipment. The attack was a ransom ware attack, where the hackers named Darkside demanded a ransom of 75 bit coins ($4.4 million). Colonial pipelines accepted to pay the ransom money because that was the best option for the country.

Introduction:

The largest pipeline system in the US for refined oil products is the colonial pipeline. The construction of the company began in 1962 and its headquarter is in Alpharetta, Georgia. On the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, an 8900km long pipeline terminates at the port of New York and New Jersey. Colonial pipeline delivers 10000000 gallons of gasoline, heating oil’s, refined petroleum oils, to businesses throughout the east and south coast. About 45% of the fuel consumed on the east coast is derived from colonial pipelines.

Anyways colonial pipeline was under threat when a cyber-attack broke into the data of the company in 2021. On 29th April 2021, through a virtual private network (VPN) that the employees used to work remotely, the hackers got a hold of the password and the user name that helped them to access the information and data. It is only possible if the employee has used the same password to access another account that was hacked in the past.

Facts about the attack:

  • The cyber attack was made open to the public on the 8th of May, 2021, at 12:30 pm.
  • Colonial pipeline started to shut down their online system.
  • While the data and information were restoring, the gas supply was limited.
  • The Colonial pipeline involved the law and also took help from a third party during the recovery.
  • People panicked because of this attack which created a shortage of gas in the country.
  • The malicious attackers were named Darkside.
  • Colonial pipelines paid a ransom of 75 bit coins ($4.4 million)
  • Darkside lost access to information about the infrastructure and funds.
  • The data was restored on the 13th of May, 2021, and the system started running online again.

What is Beauty?

We live in a culture that is obsessed with beauty. Movies, shows and other media constantly push the idea that we should look good and that we should look for beauty in our partners.

But what is beauty? How do your define it ? What do you find beautiful?

The idea of external beauty tends to be very shallow. A person we know to be cruel and harsh might be attractive, but we would not describe them or see them as beautiful. Even the best make-up or photoshop filters are not enough to make someone truly beautiful.

Beauty is something internal.

A person who is there is for you when you are down, someone who is kind, intelligent, virtuous and giving is lot more beautiful, and that is a beauty that lasts a lifetime.

No matter how well we care for our looks, they will fade and change with time. They might be affected by sickness or an accident or simply age. They are not lasting or deeply purposeful. However, what’s inside is. Beauty is based on empathy and compassion. Beauty is having self-awareness and being willing to admit when we are wrong. Its about being generous and giving, emotionally as well as in the material sense. Its internal beauty that matters, however, what allows us to live truly good lives.

Cause and Effects of Domestic Violence

Cause:-

Of the most important factors in domestic violence is a belief that abuse, whether physical or verbal, is acceptable. Other factors include substance abuse, unemployment, mental health problems, lack of coping skills, isolation, and excessive dependence on the abuser. The motive for committing acts of domestic and interpersonal violence in a relationship is to establish and maintain relationships based on power and control over victims.

·        Cycle of abuse

Lenore E. Walker presented the model of a cycle of abuse which consists of four phases. First, there is a buildup to abuse when tension rises until a domestic violence incident ensues. During the reconciliation stage, the abuser may be kind and loving and then there is a period of calm. When the situation is calm, the abused person may be hopeful that the situation will change. Then, tensions begin to build, and the cycle starts again.

·      Intergenerational violence

A common aspect among abusers is that they witnessed abuse in their childhood, in other words they were participants in a chain of intergenerational cycles of domestic violence. That does not mean, conversely, that if a child witnesses or is subject to violence that they will become abusers. Understanding and breaking the intergenerational abuse patterns may do more to reduce domestic violence than other remedies for managing the abuse.

Responses that focus on children suggest that experiences throughout life influence an individual’s propensity to engage in family violence (either as a victim or as a perpetrator). Researchers supporting this theory suggest it is useful to think of three sources of domestic violence: childhood socialization, previous experiences in couple relationships during adolescence, and levels of strain in a person’s current life.

  • Social Stress

Stress may be increased when a person is living in a family situation, with increased pressures. Social stresses, due to inadequate finances or other such problems in a family may further increase tensions. Violence is not always caused by stress, but may be one way that some people respond to stress. Families and couples in poverty may be more likely to experience domestic violence, due to increased stress and conflicts about finances and other aspects. Some people speculate that poverty may hinder a man’s ability to live up to his idea of “successful manhood”, thus he fears losing honour and respect. A theory suggests that when he is unable to economically support his wife, and maintain control, he may turn to misogyny, substance abuse, and crime as ways to express masculinity.

  • Power and Control:-

Power and control in abusive relationships is the way that abusers exert physical, sexual and other forms of abuse to gain control within relationships. A causalist view of domestic violence is that it is a strategy to gain or maintain power and control over the victim. This view is in alignment with Bancroft’s “cost-benefit” theory that abuse rewards the perpetrator in ways other than, or in addition to, simply exercising power over his or her target. He cites evidence in support of his argument that, in most cases, abusers are quite capable of exercising control over themselves, but choose not to do so for various reasons. Sometimes, one person seeks complete power and control over their partner and uses different ways to achieve this, including resorting to physical violence. The perpetrator attempts to control all aspects of the victim’s life, such as their social, personal, professional and financial decisions.

Effects:-

Effects on the family

  • Violence and the threat of violence at home creates fear and can destroy family environments and lead to the break-up of families
  • Frequent moving to avoid the abuser
  • Regular household conflict
  • Child protection or police involvement

Effects on the community

  • Children growing up without learning about positive and respectful relationships
  • Abusers going to prison
  • Higher rates of alcohol and other drug use, and mental health problems
  • Domestic and family violence is estimated to cost the NSW economy more than $4.5 billion each year

Effects on Children

Of those women who experience violence, more than 50% have children in their care. Children and young people don’t have to see the violence to be affected by it. Studies show that living with domestic violence can cause physical and emotional harm to children and young people in the following ways:

  • ongoing anxiety and depression
  • emotional distress
  • eating and sleeping disturbances
  • physical symptoms, such as headaches and stomach aches
  • find it hard to manage stress
  • low self-esteem
  • self-harm
  • be aggressive towards friends and school mates
  • feel guilt or blame themselves for the violence
  • have trouble forming positive relationships
  • develop phobias and insomnia
  • struggle with going to school and doing school work
  • use bullying behaviour or become a target of bullying
  • have less empathy and caring for others

Children and young people need to grow up in a secure and nurturing environment. Where domestic or family violence exists, the home is not safe or secure and children are scared about what might happen to them and the people they love.
