Delhi University: Societies-Importance for students

The Delhi University is well- known for its academics as well as extra- curriculum. It offers a variety of courses in its affiliated and recognised colleges. Students dream of getting admission to DU colleges. Equally are important the societies of DU as much is its academics. They upskill the students and provide a platform to grow and develop. Societies are a good way to improve yourself and prepare for the future. You can take part in any of the societies as per your (career) choice or hobby. It can be a single or multiple based on your capability to manage things but there are some procedures to be selected for a society in DU. Yes, you have to clear either interviews or auditions to be a member. Some are open societies too, i.e. anyone can enter them but you surely have to participate actively and do hard work to make them a success and make your college proud.

What do the DU societies offer to its students ?

  • There are a number of societies in DU which serve the needs of your career along with making you enjoy the membership.
  • It often makes up a small family or a big group of friends where age is no bar; all three year’s students enjoy and party together besides managing the society.
  • It not only builds a community but also introduce you to the corporate world. You get ready for the formal world by participating in the college activities and also get a chance to launch your own ventures.
  • The staff is very supportive in colleges and always ready to assist the newbies. You will never feel alone or bored once you take part in a college society.
  • You will always feel engaged yet enjoy the moments. There won’t be much burden of work but hard work is a necessity in them.

What are the types of societies in DU ?

  • Social service

You will find some student-led societies that work for the welfare of the people especially who are in need. They provide them assistance either by organising food drives or book donation, etc. to help them out. It feels great to have the youth concerning for the nation and putting forward a step to improve the conditions. The students work their best under the guidance of the college staff and sets up a good example for the upcoming ones.

  • Career related

They help the university students get an exposure to the outside world and sharpen their skills. They provide with opportunities to learn and explore. It could be either by assigning responsibilities in the society itself or outside, i.e. through placements in the corporate world. You will learn while doing and would never regret it. Such societies/cells prepare a student for the formal world full of responsibilities and new opportunities to grow.

  • Hobby / Passion

It’s not necessary to always worry for future, instead you should not worry at all since it spoils the joy of the moment. Think about the present and take up a role you would enjoy forever. There are dance societies, fashion societies, creative writing societies and many more which you can choose as per your hobby or passion to pursue. Usually, their selection process is not hard to crack. You will enjoy a lot in the activities of such society if it matches your preference.

This is too less to say perhaps. The offerings and advantages can’t be listed better than the real experience a person gets. Besides societies, there are cells and units as well, which too, are student-led. The biggest opportunity and advantage is that the societies are run by the students themselves. They manage the operations their own way but in accordance with university rules. The exposure a student gets especially during college fests is hard to express in short lines. You meet the giant community of the university during fest season.

The societies surely have their own classifications and departments bearing responsibilities and hard work based on good knowledge. It seems easy but actually is difficult, to run such organisations at college level. You need to manage time for that and also grow along to keep up with others’.

Sustainable agriculture in India

Methodology:

  • Introduction
  • Sustainable agriculture in India
  • Need for sustainable agriculture
  • Methods for sustainable agriculture

INDRODUCTION –

Sustainable agriculture simply means doing agriculture efficiently with
the limited resources present without using the future generation
resources.

Sustainability shows the balanced use of resources. The excess usage
of the resources leads to the lack of the resources for the coming
generations. So, it is important to use all the resources in the right
and in the efficient way.

Sustainable agriculture in India

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN INDIA –

Sustainable development is the management of the resources which
means the development of all with the help of the resources we have
and to use those in such a way that the resources used will be less but
the work done will be maximum which will save the resources for
future.

India ranks second worldwide in farm outputs. India is known for its
efficiency in agriculture from the Indus Valley Civilization.
Government of India is continuously working for the sustainable
development in the agriculture as most of the people’s occupation in India is farming.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana was launched in 2007 for the overall
state agriculture development in India which aimed for the better
coordination and to produce a good quantity of crops with lesser
resources. Krishi megh program was also introduced after the Rashtriya Krishi
Vikas Yojana its main aim was to inculcate the knowledge of doing the
agriculture in an efficient way.

Inculcating education to farmers can change the production quality as
well as the production quantity.

NEED FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT –

Sustainable or we say the correct use of the resource will not only
save the excess usage of the resources but will also protect us from
the ill effects of the over usage of the resources.

Let’s see how

Water – So the excess usage of water in agriculture not only wastes
the water but also highly affects the fertility of the soil. Since due to
the over water in the soil the ground soil loses its grip and the fertile
soil flows away with the flowing water.

Sustainable agriculture management

Fertilizers – Fertilizers are used for the proper growth of the crops but
its excess usage destroys the crops.

For all this the right education is necessary. Sustainable agriculture helps in the good production of crops.

METHODS FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE –

  • Proper usage of fertilizers.
  • Inculcate education of new technologies to farmers by
    organizing webinars.
  • Agroforestry
  • Contour Ploughing
These are some of the efficient methods which are used and
must be used for the sustainable agriculture.
  • Drop irrigation

Ozone hole over Antarctica

Methodology:

  1. Description of the problem.
  2. Cause of the problem.
  3. Analysis of the problem.
  4. Control of the problem.
    Introduction to the problem:
The stratospheric ozone layer protects life on Earth by absorbing ultraviolet light, which
damages DNA in plants and animals (including humans) and leads to sunburns and skin
cancer. Prior to 1979, scientists had not observed atmospheric ozone concentrations below 220
Dobson Units. But in the early 1980s, through a combination of ground-based and satellite
measurements, scientists began to realize that Earth’s natural sunscreen was thinning
dramatically over the South Pole each spring. This thinning of the ozone layer over Antarctica
came to be known as the ozone hole.

This is Dobson’s unit of the first observation on September 17, 1979 and the most recent one
that is on October 12, 2018. The red region is showing the size of the ozone hole. It’s clearly
visible in the above data that how in the past years the size of the ozone hole on Antarctica
increased. Due to this hole on the ozone layer uv rays reaches down on the region of the
Antarctica which result in the melting of glacier and due to which the sea-level increases and
due to the increased sea-level cyclones, flooding, storms and other natural disasters occurs
which highly affects the human lives on the earth.

NOTE:– The measurements were made from 1979–2004 by NASA’s Total Ozone Mapping
Spectrometer (TOMS) instruments; from 2005–2011 by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological
Institute’s Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) (which flies on NASA’s Aura satellite); and from
2012-2019 by the Ozone Mapping Profiler Suite (OMPS) on the NASA/NOAA Suomi NPP
satellite. Red and yellow areas indicate the ozone hole.

Cause of the problem:
The ozone hole opened the world’s eyes to the global effects of human activity on the
atmosphere. Scientists found out that chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)—long-lived chemicals that
had been used in refrigerators and aerosol sprays since the 1930s—had a dark side. In the
layer of the atmosphere closest to Earth (the troposphere), CFCs circulated for decades without
degrading or reacting with other chemicals. When they reached the stratosphere, however, their
behavior changed. In the upper stratosphere (beyond the protection of the ozone layer),
ultraviolet light caused CFCs to break apart, releasing chlorine, a very reactive atom that
repeatedly catalyzes ozone destruction.
The global recognition of the destructive potential of CFCs led to the 1987 Montreal Protocol, a
treaty phasing out the production of ozone-depleting chemicals. Scientists estimate that about
80 percent of the chlorine (and bromine, which has a similar ozone-depleting effect) in the
stratosphere over Antarctica today comes from human, not natural, sources.
Effect of CFCs, HCFC and VOCs on the Ozone layer

•Analysis of the problem:
Serious ozone depletion has been measured every Antarctic spring since the early 80’s. This
ozone depletion is considered to be a result of photo chemical reactions and cat- alytic cycles
resulting from anthropogenic halogen containing gases. In addition, the formation of Polar
Stratospheric Clouds (PSCs) facilitates ozone loss because reac- tive halogen species are
released by heterogeneous reactions on the surface of a PSC particle. Generally, Arctic ozone
depletion is less severe and shows larger variability than Antarctic loss because of the unstable
and warmer condition. However, the Arctic stratosphere has been becoming colder during past
decades and the Arctic ozone loss in the 2011 winter was comparable to Antarctic losses.
Ozone depletion is di- rectly/indirectly linked to the climate because the absorption of UV
radiation changes the temperature field. It is therefore important to quantify the loss for future
climate prediction.
Following picture is showing the concentration of the ozone layer by Dobson’s unit.

Control of the problem:
Ways to prevent the depletion of ozone layer are as follows:-
● Avoid the consumption of gases dangerous to the ozone layer.
● Minimise the use of vehicles.
● Use of any other eco-friendly chemical as a substitution of CFCs in the refrigerators.

The main vocalist Jimin also mentioned how out of all their music videos, this particular one made him genuinely happy.

During this pandemic, they wish to give us hope that things will go back to normal and we just need to prepare for whenever that is. The lyrics “cause it’s not over, till it’s over” is a perfect fit for this theme. They show faith in us by telling us that we’re capable of overcoming this and not letting this be a hindered in our daily lives. The line “we don’t need to worry cause when we fall, we know how to land” has comforted a lot of fans and anyone who listens to their music.

Conclusion:
By the end of the MV, all the actors remove their masks and toss it in the air which represents the fact that this pandemic will end soon and we can finally live like our old selves and the suffering too, will end one day. Nothing lasts forever and that’s why we must try to live each day meaningfully and joyfully.

What is Affiliate Marketing ?

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning money (commissions) every time you promote a company’s products or services and drive a sale. You only get paid every time you drive a sale, just like a commission-only sales representati

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Because affiliate marketing works by spreading the responsibilities of product marketing and creation across parties, it manages to leverage the abilities of a variety of individuals for a more effective marketing strategy while providing contributors with a share of the profit. To make this work, three different parties must be involved:

  1. Seller and product creators.
  2. The affiliate or advertiser.
  3. The consumer.

Let’s delve into the complex relationship these three parties share to ensure affiliate marketing is a success.

1. Seller and product creators.

The seller, whether a solo entrepreneur or large enterprise, is a vendor, merchant, product creator, or retailer with a product to market. The product can be a physical object, like household goods, or a service, like makeup tutorials.

2. The affiliate or publisher.

Also known as a publisher, the affiliate can be either an individual or a company that markets the seller’s product in an appealing way to potential consumers. In other words, the affiliate promotes the product to persuade consumers that it is valuable or beneficial to them and convince them to purchase the product. If the consumer does end up buying the product, the affiliate receives a portion of the revenue made.

3. The consumer.

Whether the consumer knows it or not, they (and their purchases) are the drivers of affiliate marketing. Affiliates share these products with them on social media, blogs, and websites.

How Do Affiliate Marketers Get Paid?

A quick and inexpensive method of making money without the hassle of actually selling a product, affiliate marketing has an undeniable draw for those looking to increase their income online. But how does an affiliate get paid after linking the seller to the consumer?

The answer can get complicated.

The consumer doesn’t always need to buy the product for the affiliate to get a kickback. Depending on the program, the affiliate’s contribution to the seller’s sales will be measured differently.

The affiliate may get paid in various ways:

1. Pay per sale.

This is the standard affiliate marketing structure. In this program, the merchant pays the affiliate a percentage of the sale price of the product after the consumer purchases the product as a result of the affiliate’s marketing strategies. In other words, the affiliate must actually get the investor to invest in the product before they are compensated.

2. Pay per lead.

A more complex system, pay per lead affiliate programs compensates the affiliate based on the conversion of leads. The affiliate must persuade the consumer to visit the merchant’s website and complete the desired action — whether it’s filling out a contact form, signing up for a trial of a product, subscribing to a newsletter, or downloading software or files.

3. Pay per click.

This program focuses on incentivizing the affiliate to redirect consumers from their marketing platform to the merchant’s website. This means the affiliate must engage the consumer to the extent that they will move from the affiliate’s site to the merchant’s site. The affiliate is paid based on the increase in web traffic.

Stress: a social issue

We thrive on performance, competitiveness, and perfection in today’s culture, which leads to an insidious increase in stress. Stress produces harm that is frequently underestimated, and it is a social phenomena that should be thoroughly investigated and assessed.

What is Stress?

Stress is our bodies’ reaction to pressure. Stress may be caused by a variety of conditions or occurrences in one’s life. It is frequently triggered when we encounter something novel, unexpected, or threatening to our sense of self, or when we believe we have little control over a situation. We all react differently to stress. Our capacity to cope can be influenced by genetics, early life experiences, personality, and social and economic conditions. When we are stressed, our bodies create stress hormones, which cause us to fight or flee and activate our immune system. This enables us to react swiftly in risky circumstances.

This stress reaction can be beneficial at times: it can help us overcome anxiety or pain in order to run a marathon or make a speech, for example. When a stressful incident is done, our stress hormones typically return to normal soon, and there are no long-term consequences.

However, excessive stress might have a detrimental impact. It can keep us in a constant state of fight or flight, leaving us exhausted or unable to cope. This can have a long-term impact on our physical and emotional health.

Stress: The Bane Of Modern Existence

Our forefathers used to claim that “work is health,” but we now know that this is no longer the case. People are subjected to unprecedented levels of stress in today’s society and job. The symptoms of stress are everywhere, and the repercussions are diverse. The stress we feel on a daily basis is mostly produced by a number of phenomena that are inherent in today’s culture, including, but not limited to:

  1. Increased workload to boost productivity improvements
  2. Continuous pursuit of perfection;
  3. Obsession with winning;
  4. Balancing job, personal life, and family life;
  5. Significant shifts in attitudes and societal standards.

Stress affects all social groupings and age groups; no one can fully escape it. However, depending on their personal, psychological, professional, and health background, some people are more severely affected by its repercussions.

What is the source of our anxiety? Stress is the body’s natural reaction to everyday occurrences. There are several sources of stress and numerous strategies to deal with it. Fundamentally, stress is a human defensive mechanism, but it is critical not to allow it to take control.

Stress may originate from a variety of factors, including physical, psychological, emotional, social, and so on. A stressful occasion might be either joyous or sad (wedding, birth, travel, etc). (getting fired, going through a divorce, the loss of a loved one, etc.). The stimulus might be modest or large, and it can be brief or persistent. Because we do not all react the same way to stressors, it is critical to understand your stress triggers in order to effectively deal with them.

Signs of Stress:-

When confronted with a stressful circumstance, the human body responds by producing a variety of chemicals, including adrenaline. Stress can induce symptoms such as palpitations, a lump in the throat, worry, discomfort, and so on in its early stages. These symptoms are generally transient. Uncontrolled stress, on the other hand, may be damaging to one’s well-being and health over time; symptoms can then be physical, emotional, psychological, or behavioural in character. Here are a couple such examples:

  • sleep disorders
  • muscular tension
  • digestive disorders
  • irritability
  • agitation
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • burnout
  • increased isolation
  • relationship problems
  • work absenteeism
  • lower performance
  • loss of self-esteem

Aside from such obvious short-term consequences, stress leads to the development of a number of chronic illnesses, including heart disease, vascular disease, and cancer.

Obviously, stress has a bad impact. However, when correctly handled, it may have a positive impact. Indeed, it can assist to improve attention, contribute to creativity, enhance productivity, and aid in the development of new abilities. However, in order to do so, you must first learn to regulate and manage it.

How you might behave:-

  1. Withdraw from others or lash out at them
be unable to make a decision or be flexible
    be moved to tears
  2. have difficulty falling or staying asleep
  3. encounter sexual issues
  4. More than usual, you smoke, consume alcohol, or use drugs.

How can you help yourself?

  1. Recognize when stress is a problem.
  2. Review your lifestyle.
  3. Build supportive relationships.
  4. Eat healthily.
  5. Be aware of your smoking and drinking.
  6. Exercise.
  7. Take time out.
  8. Be mindful.
  9. Get some restful sleep.
  10. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Mystery Fiction With Hercule Poirot!

“Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand.”

  • Neil Armstrong

Today’s article introduces the wittiest fictional character Hercule Poirot who is a renowned detective in Agatha Christie’s novels.

Those of you who aren’t acquainted with Agatha Christie, she is a popular British author, known far and wide for her Mystery Novels. Agatha Christie makes use of amazing diction and accentuates the interesting British culture through her stories.

Getting back to the main topic, we interviewed M. Poirot, a French Detective who very calmly elaborated on writing Mystery Fiction. So, let us begin!

“Hello, M. Poirot! It’s So Nice To Meet You! We Are Glad To Have You Here With Us Today!”

“Bonjour! Enchante. Pareil Ici. I feel honoured to be here today! Merci for choosing me!”

“Please Don’t Mention It, M. Poirot! We Had Explained The Purpose Of This Interview On Call, That Is To….”

“Explain the Writing Process of Mystery Fiction. That’s right! Je Sais Cela! Shoot away your questions!”

“That’s Great, M. Poirot! So, My First Question For You Is That Does Writing Fascinate You?”

“Oui! It does. Writing as a whole is a fascinating process because it introduces you to an entirely new world of imagination which does or doesn’t exist. I enjoy reading more than watching videos or movies because reading doesn’t unravel the mystery of the characters easily since we are unable to view the facial expressions of the characters. And, I think, Je Pense, facial expressions reveal almost everything about the character and the suspense factor no longer remains. Thus, words are far better than actions! Anyway, Hercule Poirot loves mystery, il fait!

“That’s A Great Perspective! What Do You Think About Mystery Fiction?”

“Are you talking about Writing Mystery Fiction eh?”

“Yes, M. Poirot!”

“As far as Writing Mystery Fiction is concerned, one needs to have immense passion and love for the genre d’abord, because mystery needs correct framing of incidences that too in such a way, so as to not reveal or disrupt the suspense factor at any rate! You must have the talent of making the most unexpected person, the criminal at the end through twists and turns! Mystery Fiction is all about the efficiency of the writer in engaging and gluing the readers to their story! Alors, il faut y travailler!

“Interesting! So How Do You Think Can Mystery Be Written Effectively?”

“Comme je viens de le mentionner, firstly passion can make writing mystery interesting. Secondly, the most unexpected twists should make up the story. Then, one should make sure that the setting used is appropriate for a murder or any other sort of mystery you wish to cover. Also, one must show many suspicious characters throughout the story so as to confuse the readers and conceal the main culprit. The unveiling should be done at the end! Je voudrais suggerer murder mysteries when writing fiction, because they are way too mind boggling. However, writing them requires special talent as I stated above. The other thing is to create a character who would help in de masking the culprit just as I am, Le Sage Hercule Poirot who knows everything! This is what makes mystery difficult because there are many characters here and there are possibilities of getting bemused when writing such genres because of the large number of suspicious forms throughout the story. That is exactly what we call the talent. The talent of working with so many characters without messing up and weaving the story accurately with all the twists and turns expected!”

“That Is So Useful. So, If You Had To Recommend Writing A Genre To The Authors Out There, Which One Would Be Your Choice?

“It depends on whether the writer is a beginner or a professional. I would recommend the fantasy genre to beginners because getting into mystery requires some amount of expertise. The fantasy genre doesn’t demand much of the suspense factor thus, making its inclusion optional. Et Selon Hercule Poirot, Suspense is one of the most difficult compositions.

While professionals have the red carpet to trying all the possible genres. So, Oui this is my recommendation!”

“Thank You So Much M. Poirot For Giving Your Precious Time To This Interview. I Hope We Didn’t Disturb Your Schedule!”

“Non! Not at all! There isn’t any recent murder case up yet! But the Spanish Chest Murder Case has hit the newspapers and grabs my attention! Good old Miss Lemon is working on extracting some more information regarding that! My schedule is crystal clear now, so Ne T’inquiete Pas Cher, nothing is disturbed.”

“Glad To Know That M. Poirot! So, Would You Like To Give A Concluding Statement?”

“Certainement! I would like to conclude stating that everybody can write. You just need the will to begin and the passion to imagine. Write in a good state of mind and consider the requirements of the readers. Don’t set a time limit or deadline when resolving to write because that sets a limit to your imagination which is an infinite concept and can’t be subjected to a time interval. So, just remain calm and patient when writing. Begin writing and embrace the art!”

Thank You So Much M. Poirot!

MY VISIT TO “REPLICA OF AMARNATH”,TIMMERSAIN MAHADEV CAVE, UTTRAKHAND

Me at Timmersain Mahadev , replica of Amarnath cave.

Uttarakhand , also known as “DEV BHUMI” or “the land of gods” is famous for its temples famous all around the world . yesterday only I visited a place which is attracting tourists a lot these days , that place is TIMMERSAIN MAHADEV CAVE Timmersain Mahadev is a cave of lord Shiva which is situated in Niti village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Cave is famous as the replica of Amarnath shrine of Jammu and Kashmir. Because of it’s a natural Shivaling of snow, this place is getting popularity day by day. On the lines of Baba Amarnath Yatra, pilgrims are now travelling to Timmersain Mahadev in the Niti Valley of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand.

Tourism Minister, Shri Satpal Maharaj said “A Shivaling is present inside the caves in Timmersain, which is located about a km before the last village in the Niti Valley of Joshimath block. The Shivaling is always anointed with the water dripping from the hills. While melting, the ice takes the shape of the Shivaling every year which is known as Barfani Baba or Timmersain Mahadev. Baba Barfani sits as a self-proclaimed Shivaling in Timmersain. Every year a Shivaling of more than 10 feet is formed here in winters. It is believed that Lord Shiva stayed at this place during Kailash Yatra. Therefore, this place is famous by the name of Sausa Mahadev. The devotees can now visit the restricted area of Niti Valley without any permission, and they can easily visit Timmersain Mahadev.

A part from the temple , there is this beautiful valley that is “NITI VALLEY “Niti is a small village located in the Niti valley of Joshimath. Niti is the last village and outpost in Indo-Tibetan border in Chamoli district. At an height of 3600 meters, Niti is situated near southern Tibetan border. The Niti Pass located at 5800 meters connects India with Tibet. During winters, Niti village and valley is covered with heavy snow. The villagers of Niti still follow the traditional methods of lifestyle in the mountains.

You will be amazed to know that Niti village inhabitants move to lower Himalayas in the valley & resides I the alternative village because there is heavy snowfall & no one can live at that place for 6 months from November to April. After these 6 months Niti Village is again filled with inhabitants.

There are some other villages near Niti such as Gamshali, Bampa, Kailashpur, Malari, Kosha , Raini , Timmersain Mahadev, & Tapovan. The disaster which shivered the whole valley of Tapovan & Raini village on 8th of February , come in the way to Timmersain Mahadev cave .

Government of Uttarakhand is trying to get permission to open this valley for tourist & make this a famous tourist place . This place will help Uttarakhand gain employment & tourists at a very high range as Jammu & Kashmir is getting . This is my initiative to make you all know about this place , & my personal advice to you all is , you must come & visit this holy place & see Mahadev in the form of slow Shivaling.

How to Learn Video Editing

video editing

Editing is a key skill in video production that can make or break the overall quality of a video. However, editing is a relatively simple process to understand. Once you have learned the basics you’ll be able to use your new skills to significantly raise the quality of your videos. Most of all, experimentation is key to becoming a great editor, so don’t be afraid to take the road less travelled.

THE METHODS FOR LEARNING:

  1. Learning Basic Editing Techniques
  2. Acquiring Advanced Editing Techniques
  3. Choosing Ideal Software

1 Film footage to gather some practice material. Film anything and everything, as long as there’s lots of it. Don’t worry about trying to tell a story, just film your surroundings, the local park, your street, your room, or even your pet.

Most modern phones are able to shoot HD footage that is perfect for practicing your editing skills.

If you don’t have a camera handy, or just want to get started on editing, you can download video clips online to practice on.

2 Import the footage into your software. Usually editing software will have what’s called a ‘bin’, a specific place in the program to store all your raw footage.[1] This will look like a list of folders or a large blank space on the left side of the main editing screen.

If you can’t find an import button some software will allow you to drag in the file from your computer into the software.

3 Add clips to the timeline. After you have imported footage into the bins, start dragging them onto the ‘timeline’. The timeline appears as a long horizontal bar that takes up the bottom half of the editing screen.

The timeline is where the majority of the work will be done. Here, you can order, rearrange, and manipulate the footage in a variety of ways

4 Rearrange the clips on the timeline. Although the footage shot may be random, try rearranging the clips into different orders to tell different stories. To do so, click and drag the long rectangular box (that represents the video clip) back and forth.

The clips you place together can affect each other. The viewer of a video will always be thinking about the following clip in the context of the previous one.[3] When you’re watching a movie, TV show or video clip, the cut can become completely invisible if performed correctly.

5 Trim the video clips to change the pace of the video. The name of the tool varies from program to program, but generally it’s called the ‘Trim’ tool. You use this tool to trim the front or back of a clip to make it shorter or to extend it outwards. Click the very edge of a video clip in the timeline and drag it inwards and outwards. This will ‘trim’ the clip.

6 Implement transitions to make cuts more appealing. Depending on the tone of the video being made, a pre-made transition from one clip to another can give the video a breath of fresh air. Navigate to the ‘Transitions’ tab located in most editing software and drag a transition you like to the cut between two video clips.

Although transitions are fun, always be thinking about who you’re making the video for. Too many exaggerated transitions can detract from the quality of a video.

7 Export the video from the editing software to save your edits. Once you’ve finished trimming, rearranging and importing all the footage you like, it’s now time to export the video. The software collects all the edits you made of the clips and ‘encodes’ them into a friendly format.

Sometimes exporting can be intimidating due to the sheer amount of options available to you in the software. If in doubt, always export at 24 frames per second (fps) and at 1080p. This means that you’ll be able to play the final video in the media player of your choice. The quality will usually look better after the video is exported.

If you want to learn video editing then first you should understand very basics of video editing.

Then I think you should first start it with Windows movie Maker and after that goes to some other softwares. I’ll suggesting you some best softwares for video editing :—

  1. Adobe premiere pro
  2. Corel video studio
  3. Light worksFinal cut pro
  4. Sony Vegas movie studio
  5. Cinelerra
  6. Pinnacle studios
  7. iMovie
  8. Pitvi

These are the some software you must try to become a good video editor but as I said you should start with learning basics of video editing.

Some you tube channel where you can lean video editing are :—

  1. Surfaced Studios
  2. Rocketstock
  3. kaptainkristian
  4. Peter McKinnon
  5. PremiumBeat

Buddies I am not a professional editor and not also connected to this video editing feild too much. But I provided you information as best of my knowledge.
