BODY POSITIVITY

Body positivity refers to accepting your body irrespective of weight and size of individual with embracing all flaws and imperfections, In simpler words loving and accepting the way you look. Body positivity is like a movement of empowering every individual, it also challenges the way people look and body shame other on basis of their physical appearance. You must have heard people saying that Omg she looks so fat or shew is pretty but fatty, they always made this comment and feel that they have empowered themselves and setting a good example for society but what they don’t know is that one single comment can destroy someone’s self esteem, can damage their mental health as well. so if a person is trying to accept themselves with all the flaws and imperfection, society has problem with that because they have never seen anyone to be bug and still loving their body, what they know is being slim is the only body type that should exist, that is what a ideal individual should look like.

Due to these things body positivity breaks all the stereotype and set some new rules for society that is

1- Having big body is as normal as being slim.

2- Loving yourself is normal and loving your imperfections is normal as well.

3- Not judging someone based on their physical; appearance is great.

Because body comes in all shapes and size and you look beautiful as you are, you don’t have to change yourself just because someone else wants you to, if they are not able to accept yourself fully that’s their problem not yours.

On a kind note: You are beautiful just accept it and embrace your flaws.

MENTAL HEALTH AND LEARNING!

In India, Mental issues has been considered as a bane since ages. An issue which should ideally be concerned over more than any other diseases and problems in an individual’s life was always overlooked by each and everyone here. Instead what happened was without knowing the inner feelings and situations of someone, considering him/her mentally ill and making fun of their condition, discarding them out of social groups, insulting them in every possible ways. From children to elders; behaviors were all the same, because the root cause was the wrong learning which each one of us received. Calling someone “Mad” for some unusual pattern of theirs’ was and is taught as a very casual, funny thing to every kid. The problem is our society being so obsessed with their typically illogical norms set up by some Orthodox and unlearnt people. God knows how many lives had been destroyed beacuse of these stupid things people does, how many killed themselves till date just because they expected someone to understand them, but were disappointed.

Why are these norms even more important than a person’s whole life? Since, when did humans became so selfish to not care about anyone until they are either dead or devastated?

Be it a kid, teenager, adult each and everyone has a right to be understood and it’s a responsibility of all to understand. To answer the questions above I could suggest only one word ‘Respect’. Everyone here, is taught to care about society more than oneself. Be it our own parents and family at times, all would teach us to stop being different because it wasn’t respected enough and just close our eyes follow the illogical path to living. While Lord himself has made each one of us unique with different looks and features, why can’t we just respect and accept all what a person is and beautifully embrace the diversity of human kind. Let the person be free and do what makes Them happy and not just the society. Give a chance for everyone to express well and. not judge them unnecessarily. Be trust worthy and loving enough to make someone feel comfortable in sharing, rather than choosing death as a better option. However, finally when the world was at break in these lockdowns due to Covid is when everyone as a whole started gaining an in depth knowledge of mental health and a necessity to understand it, as of course it wasn’t easy to live caged in the same place and space everyday. The understanding came when all the people themselves beared the burden on their heads.

But, as said ” Better late than never”. The Mental Health consideration came into existence and the spread of a proper knowledge onto this utterly important topic started. Mainly initiated by Social media influencers to becoming a trending topic among common people, to celebs. It has finally came up to the government’s notice.

THE FIRST STEPPING STONE…

Taking it to consideration, CBSE (Central board of secondary education) has finally come up with a plan to spread a proper mental health awareness within the kids aged 9-11 years. News report from A reliable source states that, “CBSE has launched a new Mobile app for students and parents. The new app ‘Dost for life’ is an exclusive psychological counselling app for students and parents of Case affiliated students. The new app will simultaneously cater to students and parents from different cbse- affiliated schools in different geographies accross the World”.

This app is easily available for download on play store and is already affiliated with all the CBSE schools. Under this, students can fix their time slots according to their convenience and sit and attend sessions on mental health awareness three days a week. This would not only help students and parents understand and respect their own mental state and each other’s but also acknowledge them with the facts on how to be a help to people suffering through related issues arround them. Being known with facts and consequences of this issue, they could also be stopped from exaggerating their own problems, understand the true meaning of these terms and how to contribute their part in saving others from it. It will fulfill the agenda of making ‘Mental health’ an open and foremost significant topic to learn and talk about. Hopefully, it would contribute to the future of our country in the best way possible.

A NOTE TO ALL.

Remember, that fear of being judged and Unaccepted is the biggest enemy of a person. Thus, Self worth and Respect for others are the two main weapons you could use to curb this fear to build in you and others as well. Learn to accept yourself and others, take advices from good people around when confused, give them if Experienced but , “Never Ever Give Up”.

Here are some Lifehacks to keep you calm and happy in every situation for you to learn and suggest to your loved ones and to people in need for help; Find serenity in little things.

Permaculture

Permaculture is a fusion of the words ‘Permanent’ and ‘culture’. The term was devised by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in 1978. In Mollison’s words, permaculture can be defined as the “conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. All this is achieved with a harmonious integration of landscape and people sustainably. The farms are designed in such a way that it promotes the coexistence of competing plants species. Currently, more than 3 million people practice permaculture across 140 countries.

Permaculture benefits claims

The practitioners of permaculture claim that as the population is increasing, there is increasing pressure to produce more food. The modern method of monoculture is not a sustainable method of growing food where a large area of land is used for only one crop and lots of chemical fertilizers are required to sustain the crop production. This also puts immense pressure on the topsoil and the soil loses its fertility and more fertilizers are required to maintain the productivity and output. Monoculture is discouraged by permaculturists because it promotes farming with a commercial-driven mindset and only selected varieties of crops and plants are grown that are commercially viable. Sometimes wild and uncultivated foods like tubers and millets are sidelined from the people’s diet even though when they are just if not more nutritious than any other food. Practicing permaculture can help small farmers to be more self-sufficient in producing their food and not rely on external input. Farmers also get the opportunity to grow large varieties of fruits, grain, and vegetables under a single roof. But it’s more than just self-sufficiency and the farm itself generates manure and this helps in saving the fertilizer costs. There is even more, as perennial plants are a structural part of the permaculture, this means that plants don’t require regular tending. This reduces the labor expenses as well. It also allows the plants to endure harsh weather conditions like the heavy downpour in monsoons or winters.

Challenges and future

Modern conventional agriculture science has been a boon in terms of production quantity as a whole but still, there are lots of problems that we are facing right now due to the use this form of farming. The focus should also be on the quality first and then quantity. What modern agriculture science has done is that it has separated the farmer from the soil. The focus and research are on the yields and nutritive properties of plants. Food has to come from the soil and most of the solutions are available in nature itself. Permaculture provides a pragmatic and efficient way for our subsistence farmers to produce food. In India where small farmers are the majority and they will also face immense pressure from the dangers of climate change and the increasing constraints on resources, epically water. Then there is the monetary issue as well. Permaculture helps in this case as the food is closer to the producer and there is less wastage of food. This makes food production economical and sustainable in a long run. Still replacing permaculture with traditional agriculture will not be easy and practical, but with small steps, it can emerge as a viable way to produce food and maintaining the ecology of the planet.

LEISURE HIDES THE SECRET OF PRODUCTIVITY

“Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

WHY NECESSARY?

Leisure means respite from work. It is essential for men tired with work. A little leisure refreshes the tired limbs and makes him fit for another period of work.

VARIOUS WAYS OF SPENDING SPARE TIME

Modern life is full of cares and worries. We have to work very hard with little or no success. Some work in factories from morning till night, some work in offices for seven, eight or nine hours a day every person has to work hard to earn his or her living. But human body is not a machine. It cannot work continually for hours together it requires some rest. Even a machine is given rest. Otherwise, it breaks down. That is why leisure is so essential. Like machines, our health will break down completely if we have no regular leisure. It always helps us regain our lost energy and refreshes so that we may continue to do our work next day with more vigour both mental and physical.

ITS USE AND MISUSE

So, leisure we all must have. But it does not mean complete cessation of work. Our limbs may stop working; but our mind is never idle. Once the tension of physical labour is gone mind has time to relax and engage itself in finding enjoyment in some entertainment or recreations. Leisure does not mean idleness. It can be utilised by engaging oneself in recreations. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So, work must be followed by recreations that brace up the mind and spirit.

CONCLUSION

Leisure varies from one person to another. Some utilise it in light reading, while other in their particular hobbies, like playing at cards, or at instruments there are some who go to the stress or cinemas for entertainments, while there are others who take evening walks. There are some who simply sit tight and enjoy the pleasure of doing nothing Whatever may be the mode of enjoying leisure, we must have it. Otherwise our life would become dull. We will lose interest in life. Life has to be lived and lived fully and joyfully.

SYRIA: Millions of people have been displaced from their homes , Conflicts in Syria’s northeast and northwest have increased levels of hunger and food insecurity as families have lost their homes, businesses and incomes

In December 2019, conflict escalated in northwest Syria and western

Aleppo. Close to one million people were forced to flee their homes in the largest wave of displacement since the crisis began.

WFP launched an immediate response and scaled up its ongoing humanitarian operations in the northwest and is now providing emergency food assistance to more than one million people each month through cross-border operation from Turkey.

Across Syria, WFP continues to ensure that food reaches the most vulnerable families when they need it the most.

4.8 million people in Syria receive lifesaving food from WFP each month.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2020 was awarded to World Food Programme (WFP) “for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict.”

And just like that, when the World Food Programme were offered UN Peace Price amidst all the harsh realities, and morbidities, the deaths, the wars — 2020 acknowledged the work and effort that the Food Programme have constantly been putting in, in order to create an equal, and secured environment.

The social media addiction

From the past few days, I did not get the time to use social media as often as I would. Today when I went back on social media I realised that I am falling back into the cycle of comparing my life with people. It then hit me that from a past few days where I was busy, the world around me changed, the birds were chirping, the flowers were blooming. This was a joke obviously.

But I did notice that I wasn’t comparing my life and was focussing on myself.

Social media is a place where everyone shows how perfect their lives are, even if taking that one picture took them three hours of hard work. Scrolling through social media makes us have questions like

How are they going out daily?

How are they having so many friends?

How do they get such good pictures?

Well, I am not hating on the people who have friends or spend time taking their pictures. They are doing what they want which is good. The problem arises when we start thinking of their lives as “perfect” and start looking down on our lives.

Let’s take an example of how social media makes us feel bad about our lives:

Imagine you have a day planned for working or doing an assignment. Let me tell you which is completely normal. But then you go on social media and see people have fun and it makes you feel bad about your life.

I know we do like posting a picture and getting likes and comments. So, I am not telling you to stop using social media. I am just asking you to remember where to stop. So today when I realised that I was going to fall back in that cycle I stopped and took a break from social media. I went and did something else because I am in a good place right now and I don’t want other people’s life to affect my life.

So the next time you are using social media always remember a few things:

No one has a perfect life: There is no such thing as a perfect life, every person has their share of problems. So, don’t make yourself feel bad about why your life isn’t perfect.

Everything we see is not real: we see stories of people going out every day. Well, they may not always have as much fun as it is shown on social media. I have ordered a few fancy-looking food and, to tell you the truth it did not taste as good as it looked. Even in stories that people post with their friends, they show how much fun they are having but in reality, people are just sitting and are using their devices and scrolling through social media.

Quality not quantity: having a big friend group is fun but they have a lot of drama too. So if you are someone with even 2-4 good friends, appreciate that because you would rather spend time with real friends than be surrounded by fake friends.

Gratitude: we need to be grateful for all that we have. We know that some people don’t even have what we currently have. If you are reading this article that means you do have a device to read it in so be thankful for that and don’t compare your life with people.

Live in the moment: There is a difference between living the moment and, only capturing it. I remember going to a concert and only recording the concert and not really enjoying it or living the moment. I wished that I lived in the moment. But, I was 13 at that time and lacked brain cells. So, don’t repeat my mistake.

Social media is a great platform and can be used to promote small businesses, raise funds, help people out, make money, become an influencer, etc. But if your mental health is getting affected by it and you are subconsciously feeling bad about your life you need to stop and take a break from it.

what is Organ Trafficking, can this crime be exposed?

Organ Trafficking is a illegal crime of transporting, harbouring of living persons or deceased persons or their organs by means of abduction ,fraud that makes the abuse of power of a professionals position.Human Trafficking holds a critical place with transactional organized crime groups due to demand of organs at low rates of law enforcement.Organ Trafficking is considered to be dark form of illicit that causes destruction to the medical norms.Global Financial Integrity(GFI) estimates that 10 % of all the organtransplants includes lungs,Hearts and Liver.

According to the sources this illicit invloves a huge groups ,the donors of the organs are mostly targeted to be the orphans. This crime is a planned act which is against law and medical norms. The orphans are easy for this illicit as they have no identity to recognise from their legit.so this loophole is made as business by many Traffickers for operating from various locations.Desperate patients in need of Organ may fall as a prey for the Traffickers who could praise a high Ransom for the organ matching .The Medical reforms involved in this illicit are involves many skilled professional doctors, medicos etc. This professionals perform various Opeartions ,surgeries are a part of Financial exploitation creating multilevel equation of crime.

It is Extremely difficult to know exactly how much Transplantations Laundering generates annually WorldWide But it is estimated that the Illegal trade Conservatively generates around $800 millions to $1.7 Billions annually according to GFI,it is difficult for both law enforcement agents and anti-money Laundering(AML)professionals to detect related Financial activity. This is due to the bulk Groups involving in the crime and Transparency nature of the crime. The main scapegoats made for this illicits are the medical captives includes hospitals and the drug pharmacies. The pharamaceuticals required for the Transplantations are also acquried from various sources from several agencies.

Todays Digital world made easy menthod of transfers through various websites, agencies and medical tourisms that offer transplant services with transparency.Method of payments such as email money transfer, bulk and cash withdrawl, credit card Payments to agencies.

Some Economists generally claim and lean for arguments for organ legalization is the one way to overcome this Red market illicit.Although Governments have Imposed and Implemented initiatives with legal definitions to increase Organ donation through public awareness Campaigns, consent laws.Legalizing payments for organs would encourage more people to donate organs.criminal Middlemen often take large sums of money cut for the payment of the organ leaving a little money left for the donor, this had to be avoided to reduce harm for the donors. After the donors often do not receive any medical followup because they are afraid that their role in crime will be discovered.considering all the facts there is still a quest for this question whether this” Red market Crime can be Exposed or not?”.

Major considerations for this question also have a claim thought of making Organ Transplantation as a Legal Model. One of this model include Free market Model system to Combat the organ shortage that helps to drive the illegal Trade.Although it doesn’t still attain a clear attention as advocates counter these claims by saying that death or murder for financial gain already happens. The main motto to expose this crimes is to protect and prohibit medical professionals and drug Pharmacies from performing such illicit organ transplantations all over the world.

Lifestyle often refers to:

Lifestyle (sociology), the way a person lives
Otium, ancient Roman concept of a lifestyle
Style of life, dealing with the dynamics of personality.

Lifestyle is the interests, opinions, behaviours, and behavioural orientations of an individual, group, or culture. The term was introduced by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler in his 1929 book, The Case of Miss R., with the meaning of “a person’s basic character as established early in childhood”. The broader sense of lifestyle as a “way or style of living” has been documented since 1961. Lifestyle is a combination of determining intangible or tangible factors. Tangible factors relate specifically to demographic variables, i.e. an individual’s demographic profile, whereas intangible factors concern the psychological aspects of an individual such as personal values, preferences, and outlooks.

MEDITATION

The practice of meditation has become popular in many Western nation’s, especially the USA. Meditation originated within the Vedas. The term ‘meditation’ is now loosely wont to ask sizable amount of diverse techniques. These include contemplation, concentration, and even breathing exercises. These techniques work on different levels like the senses, mind and intellect. consistent with Vedanta , truth purpose of meditation is to attach to one’s inner self. Meditation is defined because the mind repeating one thought to the exclusion of the other thought under the supervision of the intellect. If the intellect isn’t conscious of the method , it’s not meditation.

Renunciation or sannyasa is that the essential prerequisite to meditation. many of us are conversant in the term but only a couple of understand it’s true meaning and it’s role in life . One associates sannyasa with abandoning things that are dear to you. A sannyasi is viewed as an individual in ochre robes who has given up wealth and family, abandoned duties and responsibilities and retired to the Himalayas . Krishna defines a sannyasi within the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita together who does what one need to do, performs one’s duties and responsibilities fully , without counting on the fruit of action . A sannyasi isn’t one who doesn’t higher ideal, neither is he an inactive person.

There are four sorts of people within the world. The overwhelming majority belong to the bhogi category. Their only mission in life is to enjoy the planet . They believe you’re born only to enjoys the senses and maximise enjoyment. they are going into the planet seeking objects of desire. alittle minority understand that life offers far more than mere sensual pleasures . they appear inward and upward to seek out deeper and more meaningful avenues of happiness . Of these , the spiritual freshmen are yogis who still have desires for the planet but understand that happiness lies within. Their efforts are therein direction. As they shed desires through Karma Yoga Path of Service , Bhakti Yoga Path of Devotion and Jnana Yoga Path of data , they become sannyasis who are withdrawn from the planet and are knocking at the gates of Enlightenment . they need only a few , subtle desires – to urge to Freedom , serve humanity and repay the guru who guided who guided them to the spiritual path. Such people only got to meditate to beat the last hurdle to Enlightenment.

Meditation is quite just shutting one’s eyes and getting temporary reprieve from life’s problems. it’s the very best spiritual technique that must be practised diligently and devotedly by qualified practitioners. you’re fit meditation when your mind is calm . A mind burdened with desire and attachment is unable to require off into subtler realms of meditation.

In the Bhagavad Gita , Krishna takes us through the preparatory disciplines foe meditation. He also gives the disqualifications for meditation. Then comes the test of Enlightened Soul feels one with all beings. As you see yourself altogether mirrors. A body-conscious person identifies with the mind. His circle of oneness expands to incorporate relations and friends.

Among all yogis, one who worship wholeheartedly and with a transparent purpose , who maintains the goal in the least times and strives diligently, is most united. Thus, a person – literature or illiterate, elite or commoner, regardless of caste, race, religion or background – is aware about the last word state of Infinite Happiness.

WHAT IS MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL ILLNESS?

Mental health and Mental illness are not the same, though it seems so they both are entirely different concept. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Mental health reflects” our emotional psychological and social well-being “Affecting “how we think, feel and act “, mental health has a strong impact on the way we interact with others, handle problems, and make decisions. And Mental illness refers to “conditions that affect a person’s thinking feeling, mood, or behavior.” These can include but not limited to depression, anxiety bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia.

Christopher M. Palmer, MD, director of McLean’s Department of Postgraduate and continuing education, pointed out that mental health and mental illness are similar to the concept of physical health and physical illness. He said the term mental health, implies the absence of illness or disorder. But there are a lot of ways people can be mentally healthy or ill, just like there are many ways people can be mentally healthy or ill, just like there are many ways to be physically healthy or unwell.”

By increasing the understanding of mental health and mental illness can help eliminate stigma and other barriers that keep people from seeking help when they require.

Mental illness affects more people than that we think, it is that we should understand what these two terms mean, the given prevalence of mental illness throughout the world. The WHO points out that around 800,000 individuals die by suicide each year, also about 20% of world’s children and adolescents have a mental disorder and depression affects about two hundred and sixty plus people worldwide.

The thing with all mental health disorders is that none of them define the entire person. Although their symptoms might impair their ability to do things others are able to do, they still have areas of strength and competence. Whenever we talk about health versus illness, it’s always important to remember this.

Being mentally healthy enables you to feel, think and act in ways that help you enjoy life and cope with its challenges. Poor mental health may result in feeling unhappy, difficulty thinking clearly, or feeling overwhelmed by stressful situation. Resiliency (The inner strength that you use to cope with stressful situations) is also a major part of mental health. Building resiliency can help you avoid being overwhelmed by stressful situations.
