Biomedical Wastes

Our environment is degrading day by day. India with its growing population is also keeping up with the waste generation.

Nowadays pollution is everywhere whether its air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, noise pollution, radioactive pollution and the pollution from E waste what not?

Biomedical Waste( BMW) is any waste produced during the diagnosis treatment or immunization of human or Animal Research activities retaining threat or in the production the testing of biological or in health camps.

Let the waste of the ‘sicks’, not ruin the life of the ‘healthy’

Common generator of Biomedical wastes are :-

  • Hospital
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Medicinal Research Laboratories
  • offices of physician , dentist, veterinarians
  • home Health Care
  • funeral homes

From WHO stats 2000,the improper treatment of medical waste( primary use of infected needles and syringes) caused 21 million hepatitis B infection and 2, 60, 000 HIV infections worldwide.

During this pandemic situation, we have witnesses another huge list of Biomedical Waste generation in India. India generated over 18000 tons of covid-19 related biomedical waste in starting 4 months of this pandemic. This includes personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, face mask, head cover, plastic coverall, hezmet suit and syringes among others.

Types of Biomedical Waste

Infectious waste

  • Suspected of containing pathogen in a sufficiently large quantity or concentration to result in disease in susceptible host.
  • Cultures and stock of infectious Agent from laboratory.
  • Waste from operation and autopsies on patient with infectious disease.
  • Waste having come into contact with infected hemodialysis patient.

Pathological waste

  • Infectious material containing dead tissue may conceal specially dangerous and communicable infectious Agent.
  • Include – blood, body fluid, tissues, organs, body parts, human foetus etc.
  • Subcategory of pathological waste is Anatomical waste.
    • Consist of identifiable human or animal body parts healthy or otherwise.

Radioactive waste

  • Waste generated during the different application of radioisotopes in biological research on medicine.
  • May contain infectious biological components from Anatomical, research or clinical sources.
  • By product of various nuclear Technology process.
  • Include-
    • Nuclear medicine
    • nuclear research
    • Nuclear power
    • Manufacturing
    • construction
    • Caol
    • Rare Earth mining
    • Nuclear weapon reprocessing

Pharmaceutical waste

  • Contaminated or expired drugs and vaccine as well as antibiotics and pills.
  • Result from many activities and location in health care facilities.
  • Small quantities at households can often be thrown away in the municipal waste stream.
  • But large quantities kept at pharmacies distribution Centre, Hospital etc. be managed to minimise the risk of release or to exposure to the public.

Genotoxic waste

  • Waste from drugs that are used in radiotherapy and units.
  • One of the type of hospital waste that are extremely dangerous and may cause cell mutation or cancer.
  • Cytotoxic drugs are main components.
  • Include –
    • Urine
    • Faeces
    • Vomit treated with Chemicals or cytotoxic drug.

Sharps

  • Object that are Sharp enough to cut or puncture the skin.
  • Transmit infections directly into the bloodstream.
  • Generally treated as highly hazardous medical waste regardless of whether they are contaminated or not.
  • Includes –
    • knife
    • Blades
    • Infusion set
    • Needles
    • Broken Glass
    • Nails
    • Scalpel

Chemical waste

  • Contain radioactive element poses particularly difficult problem of disposal.
  • Includes –
    • Heavy metal from Medical appliance
    • Disinfectant
    • Solvent
  • Difficulty in disposal are partly technical and partly political
    • The radioactive constituent that find their way into groundwater and surface water must be kept to exceedingly small amount for very long time.
    • Fear of mysterious effect of radiation, politician reluctant to consider disposal of radioactive waste in the area of their constituent.

MONEY MADNESS…

In today’s world, Money has become the most important thing in the life’s of people, but a sad thing is it’s going beyond and people were becoming money minded and it’s becoming a madness. Money may be an important thing but you can’t buy everything with money. Yes, it’s true. Money can buy the your physical needs but you can’t buy the internal things like happiness, peace, etc..

GREAT LOSS THAT MONEY IS CAUSING TO HUMAN LIFE:

1.It is making people mad and it’s becoming like an edit to money, always the thoughts of making money rules in the minds of people.

2.It’s spoiling relations between humans, instead it’s tying the people in the bonds of madness. It is live an evil that’s killing the relations of people.

3.Everything is going on money, if you have money people will surround you like flies gather around sweetness and once your money is gone, then see no one will at least look upon you.

4.Some people always run and run to earn more and more money, they are not satisfied and may be their thirst of money has gone so far.

5.Trying to acquire money at all costs, or constantly trying to acquire as much money as you can, could lead you to unethical or even criminal behavior, such as theft or scamming others.

6.Money can create disagreements, between your family, friends, relatives and everyone around you.

7. Money may lead to really dangerous situations or decisions like Divorce between the couples, separation between dear ones etc..

8.Money is indirectly spoiling the relations in human beings, people are loving money and using people, instead of using money and loving people.

9.People are treating people as things and no strong relations are existing in today’s society, if you have money then people will raise you up to the sky ,but once you are left with no money, no one will come to you.

10.Money should be disconnected from you and you should connect with people, because money can’t give you happiness and satisfaction in your life.

A WRITER SAYS:

What Money Can Buy:

A bed but not sleep

A clock but not time

A book but not knowledge

A position but not respect

Medicine but not health

Amusement but not Bliss

Obedience but not faithfulness

A companion but not a friend

A house but not a home.

SO NEVER RUN AFTER MONEY AND SPOIL YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, START CONNECTING WITH YOUR BELOVED ONES AND PEOPLE AROUND…

WHAT THE WORLD'S LONGEST LIVING PEOPLE EAT AND DRINK?

THE IKIGAI DIET – A REVIEW

According to the World Health organization’s report, Japan is the country which has the highest life expectancy of the people.  Okinawa, an area in Japan has the highest life expectancy of overall an average. Okinawa is said to be the most affected area in the World War II.  People were affected by hunger due to lack of resources during 1940s. They recovered themselves from the huge destruction and now they have the longest living citizens.

What they actually do? What makes them special in terms of their life expectancy?

Okinawa is a place in Japan where there is no train and people living there either use cycle or prefer to walk while travelling. This is followed by the Japanese people as it is the province, which is managed by the government.

MIRACLE DIET

People in Japan eat a wide variety of vegetables. They consume at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables. Minimum 7 types of fruits and vegetables on their daily basis. 30% of their calories comes from the vegetables. Their tables consist of colorful varieties of vegetables.
However, their primary food is White rice, which they consume on their daily basis. They also add noodles sometimes to their diet.
Their foundation for a diet is grains. They rarely eat sugar if they consume sugar it is only cane sugar. Sugarcane has the several benefits on dietary effects as they have antioxidant property. Eating a bit of sugar after meal avoids tooth decay.

STUDIES OF MAKATOO SUZUKI

  • Sugars are less on their diet. i.e. One third of their diet.
  • Salt 7grsms per day.
  • Few calories food intake.
  • Fish 3 times per week.
  • Lot of legumes and beans.

SANPIN-CHA

Sanpin cha  – a mix of green tea and jasmine flowers. In addition to the antioxidant property of green tea, Jasmine has varied benefits such as they strength immune system and relieve stress. Studies says that Jasmine tea reduces blood cholesterol levels. They drink on an average of three cups of jasmine tea.

GREEN TEA & WHITE TEA

Green tea plays an important role in longevity. It protects from UV damage, promotes good bone health and prevents against bacterial infection.

White tea has a high concentration of polyphenols which prevents aging. It has the greatest antioxidant power with is equal to dozen of fruit juices.

Drinking either green tea or white tea everyday reduces free radicals in the body which keep the body young.

SHIKUWASA

Shikuwasa, a citrus fruit which is widely found in Ogimi, a village in Okinawa. Shikuwasa juice is taken after diluting it with water. Their taste lies between lime and orange. As all citrus fruits have high levels of nobility which is a flavnoid, consuming nobiletin protects cancer, type 2 diabetes and obesity.

They also contain Beta carotene, vitamin C & B1 and minerals. They are used in many dishes and widely used in parties as they also serve as a cake.

SO EAT LESS, LIVE LONGER!

Calorie restriction is a very effective way to keep your body younger. Eating more calorie rich food makes one to be lethargic and body is unable to digest the food frequently. Though we don’t have any accurate study on calorie restriction based on longevity, but the data increasingly give information on adequate calorie restrictions will be a protective effect against obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart diseases. Mountain 5:2 is his best way, i.e., fasting one or two days every week and eating normally for the remaining five days.

Vitamin c

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues.

Vitamin C is one of many antioxidants  that can protect against damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals, as well as toxic chemicals and pollutants like cigarette smoke.

Vitamin C is easily absorbed both in food and in pill form, and it can enhance the absorption of iron when the two are eaten together.

Vitamin C Benefits Your Body

1.May reduce the risk of chronic disease

2. may help manage high blood pressure

3.May lower your risk of heart disease

4. May reduce blood uric acid levels and help prevent gout attacks

5. Helps prevent iron deficiency

6. Boosts immunity

7. Protects your memory and thinking as you age

8.Vitamin C Stimulates Collagen Synthesis

9.May Bolster Cancer Treatment

10.Antioxidant-Rich Vitamin C Protects the Eyes

11.decreases the severity of cold and flu attacks.

HOW DO YOU PRESENT YOURSELF…

Presentation is very important and crucial part in everyone’s life, because at some point everyone should go through this presentation. Basically, we do think that presenting ourselves is an easy thing, Yes indeed it is , but if you follow some tips then you can present yourself in an extraordinary way and style. Here in this article we’ll be sharing some important tips to be noted and remembered for a wonderful presentation. Let’s look at them one by one.

5P’s of Presentation: The five p’s of presentation are planning, preparation, consistency, practice and performance.

TIPS FOR A GOOD AND HEALTHY PRESENTATION:

1.The first thing to be kept in your mind is you should prepare for the presentation, if it is informed to you beforehand.

2.It’s better to practice or make a trail performance before you give your original presentation.

3.Do not byheart everything that you wanted to convey in your presentation, but just remember the main points that you want to highlight or speak about, and so you can proceed your talk based on the main points.

4.Try to learn the correct pronunciation of the words that you find hard , vocabulary is important for an effective talk.

5.If you are presenting through some PPT presentation or something like that, you need to speak out the points relating to the slides.

6.Be confident in talking, if you get nervous before the gathering, it won’t look good, so try to practice before a mirror or before your close friends if you have the stage fear.

DO’S DURING PRESENTATION:

1.Firstly introduce yourself .You should talk confidently whatever you feel like talking, instead of uttering the words in a confused way.

2.You need to maintain proper pitch in your speech,  it leads to effective presentation.

3.Next, your body language. It includes, your hand gestures, facial expressions, body posture, eye contact, touch and use of space. If all the above were maintained in an orderly manner it gives the interest to the audience.

4.Your flow should be balanced, because you should neither speak like an express train nor be like a tortoise, so balance should be maintained.

5.Connect with the audience, keep your eye contact and keep a smile on your face, use your voice effectively.

6.Keep your speech simple, and tell some stories in between to create interest among the audience.

7.Keep yourself relaxed, breathe and convey with full confidence.

DO NOT’S DURING PRESENTATION:

1.You should never doubt in your talk, feel free and speak what’s in your mind.

2.Do not cover yourself like folding your hands or keeping hands tight etc., it delivers that you’re not confident enough and it shows your nervous feel.

3.Do not look at the script and keep on reading if you have a script with you, because you should keep eye contact with the gathering.

4.If you are showing some slides, do not reading the whole sentences from the slides as it is.

5. Do not try to make it fast and cut short your works, like if it’s and hour presentation do not end it within 30 minutes.

6.Don’t end your talk by simply summarizing what you have talked about.

7. If place is given, try to move and talk, instead of standing at the same place like an idol.

8.While using your gestures, do not move them very frequently but move accordingly.

*ALWAYS TRY TO GIVE YOUR BEST IN YOUR PRESENTATION AND SO NO NEED TO CONSIDER THE REST OF THE THINGS…

*KEEP A SMILE ON YOUR FACE,BREATHE AND CONVEY HEARTHFULLY…

Effects of air pollution

Effects of air pollution

  • Human health
  • Animals
  • Plants
  • Material
  • Stratosphere
  • Environment

Impact on plants

  • Reduced plant growth
  • Damage to leaves of crops plant
  • Susceptible to disease, pest, Frost

Impact on materials

  • Cars
  • Homes
  • Monument, sites

Impact on health

  • By VOCs, suspended particles
  • Lung cancer
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Respiratory diseases
    • Asthma – By SO2, smoking
    • Bronchitis – NO2
    • Influenza, cold- NO2

Effect on human health

  • Irritation of eye, nose and throat.
  • In severe cases, there may be headache, nausea and loss of coordination and concentration.
  • It lowers our resistance to cold and pneumonia.
  • CO has affinity towards hemoglobin which cause disturbance in
    • transportation of oxygen
    • impairing our concentration
    • slow our reflexes
    • make us confused and sleepy
    • feel suffocation.
  • SO2 in the air lead to disease of lung and other lung disorders such as wheezing and shortness of breath.
  • Chronic respiratory disease- lung cancer, heart disease, damage to the brain liver or kidney.
  • Effect of arsenic, Asbestos, Mercury and Benzene can cause mutation, reproduction problems or even cancer.

Effects on plant

  • Pollutant enters through stomata.
  • Pollutant Erode waxy coating of the leaves called cuticle
    • Cuticle prevent excessive water loss and damage from disease pest, drought and Frost.
  • Destroy chlorophyll
  • Affect photosynthesis
  • Damage of leaf structure causes :-
    1. Necrosis – damage to leaf structure.
    2. Chlorosis- loss /reduction of chlorophyll causing yellowing of leaves.
    3. Abscission – Dropping of leave.
    4. Epinasty – Downward curling of leaves.
    5. Death of plants.

Effect on aquatic life

  • Precipitation in the form of acid rain cause high acidity in freshwater lake.
  • Acid rain affect aquatic life especially fish.
  • Some of freshwater lake have experienced total fish death.

Effect on material

  • Due to corrosiveness, particulates can cause damage to exposed surfaces.
  • Ozone causes crackling of rubber.
  • SO2 and water form H2S – corrosion as well as disfigurement of Statue made up of limestone or marble.
  • Oxides of Nitrogen can cause fading of cotton and Rayon fibres.

Effect on environment

  • Visibility
  • Pollutants in the presence of Sunlight produce photochemical smog.
  • Emission of greenhouse gases tends to global warming.
  • Chlorofluorocarbons carbons also cause Ozone layer depletion.

The phenomenon of trapping and reradiating heat by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is referred to Greenhouse effect.

  • Natural greenhouse effect keep Earth warm .
  • Global mean temperature of earth is + 15 degree Celsius.
  • Water vapour, CO2, H2O, CH4, ozone and cfcs present in minute quantities but maintain the temperature of Earth.
  • In the absence of greenhouse gases, the temperature of earth would be much lower than – 20 degree Celsius.

Enhanced greenhouse effect means global warming.

AIR POLLUTION

Pollution

Any undesirable changes in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of any component of environment i.e. air, water and soil – which can cause harmful effects on various form of life or property are called environmental pollution.

Any favorable unpolluted environment has pertains a specific composition in their component i.e. air, water and soil.

The problem like pollution come into existence due to short-term economic gain over long-term ecological benefits for humanity.

During last few decades we have contaminated badly on air, water and land on which life itself depends with a variety of waste products.

Be the part of Solution , not the part of Pollution…

We can survive without food for a few days, without water for few hours but without air it is impossible to survive for few min.

An average human require about 12 Kg of their each day which is nearly 12 – 15 times greater than the amount of food we eat.

Types

  1. Air pollution
  2. Water pollution
  3. Soil pollution
  4. Marine pollution
  5. Noise pollution
  6. Thermal pollution
  7. Nuclear hazard

Air pollution

Air pollution started from very beginning of human evolution. Hippocrates had mentioned air pollution in 400 BC.

  • Any undesirable changes in physical, chemical or biological characteristics of any component of the in air which can cause harmful effect on living things is called Air pollution.
  • Earlier the air pollution is caused only by burning of fire word as a means of cooking and heating.
  • With the industrial revolution the problem become more serious due to cold burning in the industries and development of Transportation system leads to large amount of petrol and diesel was started utilising in the beginning of 20th century.
  • Severe air quality problem due to diesel and petrol engines were felt for the first time in Los Angeles in1943.
  • The gaseous pollutants include oxides of sulphur, oxides of Nitrogen, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compound, Ozone etc.
  • Particulate pollutants includes smoke, soot, fumes, aerosoles, liquid droplets, Pollen Grain etc.
  • Radioactive pollutants include Radon222 , Iodine 131, Strontium 19 plutonium 239 etc.

Greatest industrial disaster leading to serious air pollution took place in Bhopal were extremely poisonous methyl isocyanide gas was accidentally released from union carbide pesticides manufacturing plant on the night of 3rd December 1984, the effect of this disaster on human health and the soil are felt even today.

Now we know this tragedy as Bhopal gas tragedy.

The London smog was the major disasters were recorded in 1952 which cause more than 8000 deaths due to accumulation of air pollutants over the city for 5 days.

Primary pollutants – primary pollutants are emitted directly from the point source (natural or human activities).

  • Five primary pollutants together constitute 90% of the Global air pollution
    • Carbon dioxide
    • Carbon monoxide
    • Sulphur oxide
    • volatile organic compound mostly hydrocarbon
    • suspended particulate matter

Secondary pollutants – secondary pollutants formed by the interaction of primary pollutants. example – peroxyacetyl nitrate, smog, Ozone, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, carbonic acid etc.

Indoor air pollution

Many people spend large portion of their time in inside the homes as much as 80% of their life.

We work study, eat, drink, sleep in enclosed environment whereas circulation may be restricted.

  • Children and Womens are more exposed to rest in indoor air pollution
  • Burning of dung cake , wood, kerosene for fuel.
  • Cigarette smoke
  • Incomplete combustion produce carbon monoxide that are injurious to health.
  • Chemical fumes from paint and solvents
  • Chemicals released from Modern building and Furnishing material

Effects of air pollution

  • Human health
  • Animals
  • plants
  • material
  • stratosphere
  • environment

Control of air pollution

  • Reduce energy uses
  • Remove pollutant generating stuff
  • Check the generation of pollutant where burned
    • Putting catalytic converter in automobiles.
  • Protect the object from pollutants
    • Coat statues with protective material.
  • Constructing walking and bicycle lanes
  • Encourage mass transportation

What is Beauty?

We live in a culture that is obsessed with beauty. Movies, shows and other media constantly push the idea that we should look good and that we should look for beauty in our partners.

But what is beauty? How do your define it ? What do you find beautiful?

The idea of external beauty tends to be very shallow. A person we know to be cruel and harsh might be attractive, but we would not describe them or see them as beautiful. Even the best make-up or photoshop filters are not enough to make someone truly beautiful.

Beauty is something internal.

A person who is there is for you when you are down, someone who is kind, intelligent, virtuous and giving is lot more beautiful, and that is a beauty that lasts a lifetime.

No matter how well we care for our looks, they will fade and change with time. They might be affected by sickness or an accident or simply age. They are not lasting or deeply purposeful. However, what’s inside is. Beauty is based on empathy and compassion. Beauty is having self-awareness and being willing to admit when we are wrong. Its about being generous and giving, emotionally as well as in the material sense. Its internal beauty that matters, however, what allows us to live truly good lives.

AIM OF EDUCATION IS TO BUILD CHARACTER

The aim of education should be building of character and not merely injecting of information.

– Pranab Mukherjee.

Education is a learning process that enables students and adults in a school community to understand, care about and act on core ethical values.

Learn the value of respect, justice, civic virtue and citizenship, and responsibility for not only themselves but also for others.

Education gives us the knowledge we need to know what dangers in society are and how to deal with them properly.

Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education. The complete education gives one not only power of concentration but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate.

– Martin Luther King Jr

Important aim of teaching should be producing students with good moral and skills for life.

Confidence and resilience are two character traits that are essential for success in the workplace.

As we all know, we faces various challenges after school life. We do not comfort with our good grade but we feel comfort with the character traits like confidence and resilience.

People with Confidence deals with well interview and prospect the more responsibility the within a job or any role.

People with resilience character, deals with failure rejection and various unseen obstacles in life. They face problems rather than wasting time on worrying about Minor failures. They always try to keep growing.

Education is the key to build characters

Producing students with good grades are not enough for them to face various kinds of challenges in their life. Good grapes are not going to help them for their fruitful life. But preparing students with good ethics, good Morals, social skills and life skills are really going to help them for their future challenges.

In today’s world the schools are focusing on student and forces them for good grades in academic. Parents also want their child to gain good grades in academics. but in future only good return are not going to work anymore. A person with with good grades and without any social or soft skills or ethics they faces competitions only.

Thus, focusing on building character is also very important for us.

Enjoying the journey

Imagine a difficult time in your life. All of us have a lot of situations that broke us. Now imagine your life without that situation. In some cases, you must be glad it happened because now you are in a good place.

But, if you are one of those people who are thinking that your life would be better if that situation did not take place. Think of the good times you had because of the bad situation.

We cannot always avoid bad situations from happening. But what we can do is enjoy our journey. I am not saying to start laughing when bad things happen but learn to embrace the journey. We are always so caught up in reaching the destination that we forget what the journey holds.

We get to learn a lot from the bad situations of our life. We become more self-aware of who we are. There are a few things that we cannot learn from school. Those things only our life experiences can teach us.

It is on us whether we want to learn from those experiences or not. One thing that all of us should understand is that problems and difficult situations will come our way no matter what. That is what life is. But, it is on us to see what we learn from it.

For example: Imagine you got rejected in an interview that you really wanted. Now, are you going to cry and give up the idea of the job, or are you going to learn from your experience and go to your next interview more prepared?

We also face issues with our friends. Our friends don’t be there for us when we need them. Sometimes they break our trust. This also teaches us an important lesson in our life. It teaches us on how to be strong on our own. It teaches us that with or without people, we need to learn to be happy.

To reach our goal or our destination, we come across hurdles called experiences. They can be good or bad. But, we are supposed to enjoy these experiences because every experience teaches us something. As cliché as it sounds,  Everything happens for a reason.

People are so caught up in reaching their destination that they forget about the beautiful journey. They often forget to embrace their experiences and learn from them.

Do not be those people because “we can never relive the same moment again” Reading this quote for the first time scared me. But, it also made me want to live more moments and appreciate them while they last.

All that we are left with are memories. Think about your school life. Good or bad, I am sure it has moments you would always capture in your heart.

We are always looking forward to the next step of our life. We forget about the journey.

More than our destination it is our journey and experiences that made us into who we are today. So enjoy the journey while it lasts.

Mother Earth – Our home planet

Earth is the only planet where life can exist.

Earth is also called Blue planet.

If we destroy the earth, we destroy the chance of life.

Earth is our mother as we born here,we grow here,we eat ,play and our whole life cycle take place on earth.
Earth  provide everything that we use today whether it is directly or indirectly.

Life existed on earth is as it is suitable for having an atmosphere, suitable temperature and water is present in its liquid form on Earth due to the position of Earth on solar system.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun at a distance of about 93 million miles (150 million km).

We called Mother earth because Earth provide everything to us like a mother. Our existence become possible only due to earth.
Everything that we needed to survive and thrive is only due to our mother earth it provide us  food, shelter, home , water, air, medicine , suitable temperature and everything that we need for our existence.
But we affect our mother Earth in various ways only for the sake of our greed.

Due to our greedy behaviour natural environment of Earth get changes.

Earth provides enough to satisfy Every man’s needs but not Every man’s greed

Mahatma Gandhi

Earth day is celebrated on 22 April.

Thus ,there is a need to  save our mother Earth.

The optimal temperature of earth rises ,the glaciers are melting  and every type of pollution like air pollution water pollution ,soil pollution ,noise pollution every thing are going on its peak and that’s why why every living organism get affected by this.

Due to this anthropogenic action every single living organism get affected even when they don’t take part in this  destructive action.

Anthropogenic action is referred to as the action which is done by humans.

Impact of anthropogenic activities on  earth
First of all the major impact is  due to overpopulation –
● Due to overpopulation the overconsumption of resources are at its peak .
Even after the implementation of various sustainable act but it doesn’t make any major changes on environment.
● To fulfill the requirements of population we need more food supplies that’s why there is increase in uses of fertilizers and various chemicals to increase the food production.
■ And it will leads to lack of nutrients in grains ,soil infertility or or it may leads to desertification.
● To fulfill the requirements of people there is need to increase the land area so it has been observed that it leads to deforestation.
● Anthropogenic activities are responsible for an intensive emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, leads to an increase of 35% of carbon dioxide (CO2, greenhouse gases) emissions between 1990 and 2010.
● Emission of large amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases leads to rise in temperature of Earth, increase pollution and it causes various type of disease also.
● For affordable price and easy to use the production of plastic also increases.

These all are the the main factors that affect the ecosystems too.

Measures taken to save mother earth:-

  • Reduce, reuse and recycle
  • Choose sustainable development
  • Volunteer for clean up our environment
  • Choose long lasting light bulbs
  • Try to use renewable resource more than non-renewable resources
  • Save water
  • Plant more trees
  • Use public transport system
  • Try to avoid plastic use
  • Try to minimise pollution at individual level
  • Use reusable shopping bags
  • Educate others about anthropogenic activities or the impact of anthropogenic actions on our environment and what can we do to prevent its bad effects

Save earth, save home

PEEPAL : BREATHE THE WILD AIR

I am Ashwattha among all the trees …

‘Ballad Divine: Bhagvad Gita, By Dev Bhattacharya

The Peepal Tree (popularly known as the ‘Bodhi Tree’) is considered to be the best in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. Gautam Buddha received enlightenment under this Indian tree.

This tree is a symbol of the endless universe of the Universe – indeed, it is revered throughout the Indian subcontinent, especially among Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists, as the tree of life.

Peepal is a true ‘Tree of Life’ even scientifically. Unlike other trees, it emits oxygen even at night. According to Ayurvedic science, all parts of the Peepal tree are useful in treating many ailments and health problems. The tree can cure up to 50 disorders, including diarrhea, epilepsy, and stomach problems.

Benefits and uses of the Peepal tree

  1. With Asthma

Peepal bark and its ripe fruit are helpful in treating asthma. Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. Use this combination three times a day for relief from the Soul.

Another way to use the Peepal tree is to relieve asthma by having a powdered form of peepal fruit with water twice a day. Repeat this for 14 days to get relief.
