We thrive on performance, competitiveness, and perfection in today’s culture, which leads to an insidious increase in stress. Stress produces harm that is frequently underestimated, and it is a social phenomena that should be thoroughly investigated and assessed.

What is Stress?

Stress is our bodies’ reaction to pressure. Stress may be caused by a variety of conditions or occurrences in one’s life. It is frequently triggered when we encounter something novel, unexpected, or threatening to our sense of self, or when we believe we have little control over a situation. We all react differently to stress. Our capacity to cope can be influenced by genetics, early life experiences, personality, and social and economic conditions. When we are stressed, our bodies create stress hormones, which cause us to fight or flee and activate our immune system. This enables us to react swiftly in risky circumstances.

This stress reaction can be beneficial at times: it can help us overcome anxiety or pain in order to run a marathon or make a speech, for example. When a stressful incident is done, our stress hormones typically return to normal soon, and there are no long-term consequences.

However, excessive stress might have a detrimental impact. It can keep us in a constant state of fight or flight, leaving us exhausted or unable to cope. This can have a long-term impact on our physical and emotional health.

Our forefathers used to claim that “work is health,” but we now know that this is no longer the case. People are subjected to unprecedented levels of stress in today’s society and job. The symptoms of stress are everywhere, and the repercussions are diverse. The stress we feel on a daily basis is mostly produced by a number of phenomena that are inherent in today’s culture, including, but not limited to:

  1. Increased workload to boost productivity improvements
  2. Continuous pursuit of perfection;
  3. Obsession with winning;
  4. Balancing job, personal life, and family life;
  5. Significant shifts in attitudes and societal standards.

Stress affects all social groupings and age groups; no one can fully escape it. However, depending on their personal, psychological, professional, and health background, some people are more severely affected by its repercussions.

What is the source of our anxiety? Stress is the body’s natural reaction to everyday occurrences. There are several sources of stress and numerous strategies to deal with it. Fundamentally, stress is a human defensive mechanism, but it is critical not to allow it to take control.

Stress may originate from a variety of factors, including physical, psychological, emotional, social, and so on. A stressful occasion might be either joyous or sad (wedding, birth, travel, etc). (getting fired, going through a divorce, the loss of a loved one, etc.). The stimulus might be modest or large, and it can be brief or persistent. Because we do not all react the same way to stressors, it is critical to understand your stress triggers in order to effectively deal with them.

Signs of Stress:-

When confronted with a stressful circumstance, the human body responds by producing a variety of chemicals, including adrenaline. Stress can induce symptoms such as palpitations, a lump in the throat, worry, discomfort, and so on in its early stages. These symptoms are generally transient. Uncontrolled stress, on the other hand, may be damaging to one’s well-being and health over time; symptoms can then be physical, emotional, psychological, or behavioural in character. Here are a couple such examples:

  • burnout
  • increased isolation
  • relationship problems

Aside from such obvious short-term consequences, stress leads to the development of a number of chronic illnesses, including heart disease, vascular disease, and cancer.

Obviously, stress has a bad impact. However, when correctly handled, it may have a positive impact. Indeed, it can assist to improve attention, contribute to creativity, enhance productivity, and aid in the development of new abilities. However, in order to do so, you must first learn to regulate and manage it.

Stress is part of being human, and it can help motivate you to get things done. Even high stress from serious illness, job loss, a death in the family, or a painful life event can be a natural part of life. You may feel down or anxious, and that’s normal too for a while. Talk to your doctor if you feel down or anxious for more than several weeks or if it starts to interfere with your home or work life. Therapy, medication, and other strategies can help. In the meantime, there are things you can learn to manage stress before it gets to be too much. Consider these suggestions:

Exercise : To start with, physical activity can help improve your sleep.  And better sleep means better stress management. Doctors don’t yet know exactly why, but people who exercise more tend to get better deep “slow wave” sleep that helps renew the brain and the body. Just take care not to exercise too close to bedtime, which disrupts sleep for some people. Exercise also seems to help mood. Part of the reason may be that it stimulates your body to release a number of hormones like endorphins and endocannabinoids that help block pain,  improve sleep, and sedate you. Some of them (endocannabinoids) may be responsible for the euphoric feeling, or “runner’s high,” that some people report after long runs. People who exercise also tend to feel less anxious and more positive about themselves. When your body feels good, your mind often follows. Get a dose of stress relief with these exercises: running, swimming, dancing, cycling, aerobics.

Diet : The benefits of eating health foods extend beyond your waistline to your mental health. A healthy diet can lessen the effects of stress, build up your immune system,  level your mood, and lower your blood pressure. Lots of added sugar and fat can have the opposite effect. And junk food can seem even more appealing when you’re under a lot of stress. To stay healthy and on an even keel, look for complex carbohydrates, lean protiens, and fatty acids found in fish, meat, eggs and nuts. Antioxidants help too. They protect your cells against damage that chronic stress can cause. You can find them in a huge variety of foods like beans, fruits, berries, vegetables, and spices such as ginger. Stick to a healthy diet with a few simple tips. Make a shopping list. Carry healthy snacks with you when you leave the house. Stay away from processed foods, and try not to eat mindlessly. Scientists have pinpointed some nutrients that seem to help lessen the effects of stress on the body and mind. Be sure to get enough these as part of a balanced diet: Vitamin C, Magnesium, Omega-3 fatty acids.

Sleep : A common side effect of stress is that you may struggle to fall asleep. If this happens three times a week for at least 3 months, you may have insomnia, an inability to fall and stay asleep. Lack of sleep can also add to your stress level and cause a cycle of stress and sleeplessness. Better sleep habits can help. This includes both your daily routine and the way you set up your bedroom. Habits that may help include: Exercise regularly, Get out in the sunlight, Drink less alcohol and caffeine close to bedtime, Set a sleep schedule, Don’t look at your electronics 30-60 minutes before bed, try meditation or other forms of relaxation at bedtime. The role of your bedroom in good sleep hygiene also is important. In general, your room should be dark, quiet, and cool — 60-65 degrees is thought to be an ideal temperature to stay asleep. Your bed also plays an important role. Your mattress should provide support, space and most of all, comfort.

Meditation : It has been around for over 5,000 years for a reason. Meditation works well for many people and has many benefits. It can lower stress, anxiety, and chronic pain as well as improve sleep, energy levels, and mood. To meditate, you will need to: Find a quiet place, Get comfortable (sitting or lying down), Focus your attention on a word, phrase, object, or even your breath, Let your thoughts come and go and do not judge them.

Deep breathing: When you practice deep breathing, you turn on your body’s natural ability to relax. This creates a state of deep rest that can change how your body responds to stress. It sends more oxygen to your brain and calms the part of your nervous system that handles your ability to relax. Try belly breathing. Get comfortable, close your eyes, and place one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest. Take a deep breath in through your nose. You should feel your belly rise more than your chest. Now, exhale through your nose and pay close attention to how your body relaxes. Repeat.

Nowadays stress is common among school and college students because of repeated exams, class tests and assignments. Every school and college wants its students to study well get good marks. That’s right I agree, but in order to increase students marks they keep extra classes after school, keep repeated tests. With this student feels stress. Student goes to school at 9:00 am and return back to home at 8:00 pm. After returning home also he has to do his homework. Thus he left with no time to play or do anything else he wants. Every school should increase the interest in studies to its students. If they were successful, then each and every students enjoys studying, like this student will not feel any kind of stress.

Stress is the feeling of physical and emotional stress. Stress adversely effect the physical and mental state of a person. According to a survey teen are most effected stress comparing to adults. These are some stress management techniques to reduce stress.

1. Sleep well

Student scheduled plan may even miss there sleep. You should have to sleep atleast 8 hours per day, inorder to have good health. Students who sleep less than 8 hours are often found less productive on comparing to student who sleep atleast 8 hours.

2. Exercise regularly

It was found in a study that doing yoga and exercise every day help to reduce stress levels. There are several benefits of doing exercise and yoga. It also help to improve your health condition. Physical activity may help bump up the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins.

3. Listen to music

Music is the best medecine to relieve stress. Listening music conveniently decrease the stress levels. Music help you to calm down your mind from your tension.

4. Eat a healthier diet

You may not believe the eating healthy food can low your stress levels. Eating a healthier diet boost brainpower, which help to focus on your work with great potential.

5. Spend time with friends and family

Friends and family are the one who supports us in our bad times. They will encourage us. They may help to relieve our stress. You can share your tensions and problems to them. They give the sense of and self-worth.

6. Go out and have fun

If you feel stressed, then just go out play with your friends. Playing games help to reduce your stress levels. This will give relaxation to mind as well as body. Gaming results in dopamine secretion, which makes you feel good.

Need of extracurricular in schools

Every student is unique, some are interested in music and some in art and some in computers etc. Every school should encourage students in the subject which they love. If they do so, then every student will become a champion. There should be some extracurricular activities such as sports, NCC, events etc in schools other than academics.

What do you want to do before you die?

Thinking about dying could be a scary topic to talk about but there are so many things to accomplish before death. A lot of people are on their death beds regretting what they did with their lives and have no way of going back and changing it. You have got to live a life you won’t regret 60 years from now, when your dying. You only get one life so take advantage of it, and do something great! What do I want to be by the time I die? I want to live an exciting life and achieve as much as I can. I want to be able to create, accomplish, and find so many things.

Before I die, I want to be able to create good relationships with everyone I’m close to. When I became a teen mom I lost most of my relationships with friends and family. One person that I’ve lost, that used to be really close me, was my dad. My dad is someone I can’t live without. Before I die I want to create that bond I used to have with him again. Since my dad and I don’t live in the same house, it makes it hard for us to see each other. I’d like to make a habit to go out for a walk together and talk about how I feel and how he feels about our relationship. Creating a bond with my dad is the most important to me because I used to be close to my dad and he has always been someone I truly trusted. Even though that changed over the past year, I still want my dad to know that I need him no matter what. I don’t want to die knowing I didn’t have the one special person by my side.

Before I die, I want to accomplish something that will make a change in our world. Martin Luther King Jr., for example, made a change in the world and he is still known for his greatness 49 years later. I want to be that person; 50 years from now, I want people to remember me for something great that I did. In our generation we have all these teens using drugs and drinking alcohol on a regular basis, so by the time they are 25-30 years old, they’ve become alcoholics. I want to be that person that helps them stop using drugs and drinking. Making that change in our world would be something greatly appreciated, and I can be that person who every parent thanks for helping and saving the lives of their teens. I want to be remembered so people can see me as a inspiration and do something great with their lives.

In order for me to know who I am as a person, I need to find myself. Only then will I be able to love myself and others. I’ve always been a girl to keep emotion to myself and never let anyone know how I feel. There were even times when I wouldn’t know what I felt. I’ve grown up not knowing how to handle myself or to control my feelings. I don’t know the real me because if I did, I would be able to control myself and what I feel. I need to love myself and get to know myself. I’ve put everyone first for so long, that I forgot to think about myself. I want to know myself before I die so that I know what I want to do with my life. Like I said before, we only get one life. I want to take this one life and get to know myself so I’m not lost in everything. I also want to find love, first from myself. Loving myself can make a big impact in my life. It could give me the strength to keep going in my life without hesitation. Loving myself will also help me love the people around me.

Death scares me a lot but I can’t let that fear prevent me from doing the things I want to do before I die. Thinking about all these accomplishments and goals makes me realize that death can be soon and it can happen to anyone at any time. We make all these plans and all our goals but there is only so much time we have. I plan to live my life to the fullest rather than wasting it and ending up with regrets.

We care about them, love them, and pampered them from all difficulties. And pray for their happiness.

Relations are not only in the human species but other species also feel that connection, when you see the other species of animals you can easily see the connection between them. And this is one of the best things that make all of us different from the machines. No person in the world does not have any relations. If there is any person who does not have any relations by blood from any tragedy they may have lots of friends. But no one is without relations.

But now, we are facing that somehow all the relations lack the real connections nowadays, and gradually all the relations become a type of formality for the people. Who they have to continue anyhow as possible as, there are lots of survey or researches will take place in different medical Institute to find out the importance of relations in individual life. And the result will amaze you that those who have better relations with others have a long life period as compared to those who don’t have better relations.

I am not saying that everyone has always good relations with others. but at least we will give some effort towards them, we never try to understand the importance of relations in our life but now there are so many crises that will directly put figure towards that there is a lack of real connection in our life. There are lots of people who suffer from mental health problems in this world. We understand that some mental disease is not curable but at least we try to cure those people who are suffered from depressions, anxiety, and stress, etc.

When we are talking about mental health problems, try to see the health report of previous years people, and pay attention towards the people from villages, you will find out that they not are only happy but also have a long and healthy life span.so there is something that we lack in our life.

Problems that will develop after lack of connection in relations.

1) there are lots of people suffering from problems like anxiety, stress, and depressions nowadays due to a lack of sharing their pain, thoughts, and feelings with the surrounding people.

2) there are a huge amount of problems will develop with the youngsters, they distracted from their paths. Even the friends know about their problems but they have no guts to share their life problems with their parents.

This problem is not only with the youngsters, but lots of people are suffered from different problems but they can’t share these problems with their loved ones. And when they share their problems with some strangers sometimes problems of taking advantage of that victims also takes place. So the person lacks the confidence of believing in someone.

3) every day there is news of suicide that will appear on the tv screen and the amazing thing is that nobody knows about the reason behind the suicide, not even the family.

4) nowadays, all people want to be happy so the question is why they don’t be happy in their life. We are human. We have not required relations for the photo frames but need a happy life.

Through this post, I only point out one of the problems of society, not condemn someone to so don’t take it personally.
