“Capital punishment is the most premeditated of all murders.” Everyone has different views about capital punishment also known as the death penalty. According to me the death penalty should be given in only very critical situations, eg- if a person keeps repeating the crime even after they have been punished because they clearly show no interest in becoming better and people like this are a constant threat to society. Whether legal or not death penalty is a murder and I believe we have no right to take someone’s life. Criminals who do heinous crimes like murder, rape etc. are supposed to suffer in jail and repent for having done those actions, killing them would do no good. By killing them we are actually letting them go easy. Everyone deserves a second chance because we are humans we can make mistakes. By giving them a second chance I don’t mean freeing them. What I am trying to imply is by placing them in jail they will get a chance to hopefully change for the better. Like Archbishop Desmond Tutu said, “There is no justice in killing in the name of justice,” In case of murder the victims family will not get the victim back the only way they can cope with the immense pain they are going through is by knowing that the killer is suffering in jail. Our justice system must be developed in the way that the right criminal gets the death penalty. But death penalty should be a unanimous choice after all a life is a life. There are many cases where the criminal has done something really bad and they themselves ask for the death penalty because they know that in their cell block whatever they have done will forever haunt them, and if they don’t get the death penalty then end up killing themselves. What we don’t understand are that these criminals are also humans no matter how crazy they are they have a little humanity. It is extremely hard to live with that guilt of doing something wrong.

Yoga- A guide to health
Yoga is the practice of communicating with and exploring your inner self. It includes various postures and meditation to connect and enrich your soul. International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June to advocate the importance of a healthy lifestyle. It is an excellent way to calm our muscles from the work stress and sharpen our mind. Usually it is performed early morning to start the day fresh and active. It is not just a series of exercise you may wonder, it requires to keep hold of a pose/asana in order to be effective.

Nothing is easy in this world if you don’t have the correct guidance. The speciality of yoga lies in the holding of poses which is quite difficult but on the same hand, teaches patience.
Below are some of the postures to start yoga journey for a beginner:
- Vrikshasana (The Tree pose)
This is a very basic, easy and beneficial pose.
Procedure for Vrikshasana–
- Stand straight with arms at your sides.
- Now bend your right leg with your right foot pointing the left leg. Rest the foot above the left knee and balance it.
- Now slowly stretch your arms out and bring them above your head together. Try to join hands above your head and balance it.
- Focus yourself on a specific point to maintain balance and avoid distraction.
- Keep this pose for as long as 10 -15 seconds as a beginner extending to 30-40 seconds with daily practice.

- Relax and repeat the same steps once again.
Advantages of Padmasana–
This is a very relaxing pose once you get habitual to it. It aligns the back and strengthens the leg muscles. The deep breaths help in blood circulation and body functioning through lungs and heart. This pose calms the mind and helps release stress and anxiety.

- Release slowly once you are done and repeat it after relaxing for a few seconds.

Dear Ripley,
I am sorry about forgetting about our lunch date. It was completely my fault; I was so busy at work that it must have slipped my mind. How about I treat you to lunch next Wednesday at the new Irish restaurant Crean’s Cabbage Factory at 12:30PM? I have marked this date in my planner, set reminders on all my phones, and placed various color-coded post-its around my studio apartment. I have also begun a watercolor, charcoaled-pastel self-portrait with a cloud speech bubble reminding me to remind myself that I need to pay attention more. I will never forget again.

Dear friend,
I am really felt sorry on my behavior on orientation day at 27th May 2011. I am writing this to sincerely apologize for my rude behavior with our clients and subordinates on (27th May 2011). It is just because of high level of stress which I am facing these days due to some serious family problems. I realized that the way I behaved with our clients and my subordinates was not appropriate because I sound in arrogant and rude way. I also know that such behavior of mine can affect the image of our organization and cause a serious damage to our market reputation but I really feel sorry for that.
I am completely aware that my excuse is not the compensation of my behavior at work because it is obligatory for professional persons to keep their personal and professional life separate. But during course of life sometimes it happened that we seem it difficult to keep these family problems out of mind and right now I am in similar situation. I assure you that I shall not repeat this miss conduct in the near future. I am ready to bear anything in order to compensate this problem.
Please give me an opportunity to reconstruct the bridge of trust between us by giving me a privilege to compensate all this.
I genuinely and impatiently look forward to your high-mindedness.
Thanking You,
Sincerely,
Alex M. Campbell

Dear Sir or Madam:
I have recently ordered a new pair of soccer cleats (item #6542951) from your website on June
21. I received the order on June 26. Unfortunately, when I opened it, I saw that the cleats were
used. The cleats had dirt all over them and there was a small tear in front of the part where the
left toe would go. Lastly, and perhaps most disturbing, there was a small blotch of what looked
to be dried blood on one of the shoelaces. My order number is AF26168156.
To resolve the problem, I would like you to credit my account for the amount charged for my
cleats; I have already went out and bought a new pair of cleats at my local sporting goods store
so sending another would result in me having two pairs of the same cleats.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I have been a satisfied customer of your
company for many years and this is the first time I have encountered a problem. If you need to
contact me, you can reach me at (555) 555-5555.

PARADISE LOST: BEELZEBUB, MAMMON, MULCIBER AND MOLOCH
Beelzebub in Paradise Lost Book I, is the first mate of Satan. He is Satan’s “bold compeer” and next to him “in power, and next in crime.” There are few legends in The Bible associated with Beelzebub, but, Milton seems to portray him in Paradise Lost rather as an allegorization invented by St. Jerome, in which Beelzebub is the “lord of the flies”, flies being a symbol of pertinacity. Beelzebub never ceases the human race in every way. He, however lacks Satan’s “indomitable courage” in Book I. He would have surrendered unconditionally to God had not Satan cheered up his failing spirits by his fiery eloquence. Beelzebub’s first speech, following immediately that of Satan, is in marked contrast to his leader. He does not talk about a never-ending war against God but rues the “dire event” that had lost him, and the other fallen angels, “Heaven”. He fears that the future might hold even greater punishment and humiliation for them as, having lost the war, they are now slaves to God by the “right of war”. It is now in God’s hand to humiliate them as he wishes; he might torture them as and when he pleases or he might use them “to do his errands in the gloomy deep.” He accepts Satan’s argument that being immortal, they can hope for their strength to return but laments that it can be of little use against “almighty” God. He rather fears that being eternal they would only be forced to “undergo eternal punishment”.
This is an especially critical moment in the play as Satan’s plan of continuing “eternal war” can only be feasible if he can rouse his army and if he cannot rouse Beelzebub, his closest comrade, there is little hope of doing so. He, therefore, is quick to point out to Beelzebub, “Fall’n Cherub, to be weak is miserable”. Like an able general he points out God’s “minister of vengeance and pursuit” no longer torment them and hence they should not let “slip th’ occasion”. He asks Beelzebub to follow him to the “yon deary plain, forlorn and wild”. This desolate plain is where they would reassemble and plan their future course of action. It is a burning testimony to Satan’s leadership qualities that the next time we meet Beelzebub, he is a far cry from the diffident fallen angel earlier seen. It is he who suggests that Satan should call upon his fallen angels and is utterly confident that they would respond to his “voice, their liveliest pledge/ Of hope in fears and dangers…” He is now full of vigour and confident that the fallen angels, after one call from Satan, “will soon resume/ New courage and revive…” His judicious nature is evident in his astute understanding of the situation. The fallen angels in Book I indeed react exactly in the manner he had predicted. It is quite clear that his advice would be of great use to Satan in his battle against God.
Another major fallen angel who Milton singles out for mention in Book I is Mammon. He is greed personified as even during his stay in heaven he could never moved his eyes from the “gold” pavements of Heaven. This made him the “least erected spirit that fell”. The word “Mammon”, meaning riches, or the greed for the riches that takes man away from God appears in Matthew 6.24: “Ye cannot serve God and Mammon” at the same time. He is considered by angelologists to be the prince of the lowest order of angels. He is entrusted by Satan in Book I to collect the necessary metal for building “Pandemonium”, Satan’s palace in Hell. He performs his duty with perfection and within hours rips open the bowel of mother earth to collect enough gold for building the palace. Milton indicates that it is the spirit of Mammon that prompts men to dug Mother Earth and excavate gold, a metal responsible for much human misery. It is he who fuels our desire for worldly riches that inevitably takes us away from the divine path.
Mulciber is one of the major fallen angels in Satan’s horde. There are many legends surrounding his fall, but Milton believes he fell along with Satan and his crew. The Italians erroneously believe that Jupiter hurled him out of heaven and fell into the Isle of Lemnos, but Milton considers him to be a part of the “horrid crew” that God punished along with Satan. He is reputed to have built many palaces in Heaven and he proves his expertise once again by giving shape to the grand palace called Pandemonium. His name literally means “one who refines ore by melting it and pouring it into mould” is also associated with Vulcan, a Roman fire God, or God of Smiths.
Among the large catalogue of angels that Milton considers as the major warriors in Satan’s camp, Moloch stands supreme. The name literally means “king” and he is worshipped in the form of a huge brass idol with the head of a calf and outstretched hands. There is a large hollow in his idol’s stomach where burns a continuous fire into which misguided worshippers threw live children to satisfy his eternal hunger. The priests play loud music during such ceremonies to drown the cry of the dying children. He is by far the most horrid of Satan’s companions and the very valley where he is worshipped Gehenna, came to stand for a synonym for Hell. He was successful in convincing the aged Solomon to build a temple for him on the “opprobrious hill”. The Egyptian name for the planet Mars, often associated with war and bloodshed is Moloch and Milton might have known of this when he conceived Moloch as warlike.
The list of horrid angels who supported and fell with Satan highlights the evil that they wish to perpetuate. Their sole delight, like their leader is to “do ill”. Beelzebub and the rest give an epic grandeur to Milton’s work by providing a truly frightening picture of Satan’s army.

CORPORATE WIKI VS KNOWLEDGE BASE WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
Initially, corporate wiki and knowledge base might seem as the same that but in reality they are entirely different things.
DEFINITION OF CORPORATE WIKI:
It is as simple as it sounds. If you know how Wikipedia works then you’ll get the basics of what corporate wiki is apart from the fact that only companies can accesses and edit it. It is a database where a community of people can write and edit content related to companies project, products and other services. Wikis are in one sense extremely democratic.
BENIFITS:
As mentioned earlier corporate wikis allows employees to share information about project and other news related to that particular work. This benefits the whole business industry.
KNOWLEDGE IS BEING PRESERVED: The information that was shared by the employees earlier exist till the very end. By this the upcoming employees and people would get to clear their doubts, gain knowledge and have a clear information about the same.
TIME SAVING: If any queries or general problems arises, then the solution can be obtained easily as the companies wiki already has enough data to some common queries and help the team to swiftly process.
A CENTRALIZED SEARCHING POINT: Important company information is inherently scattered throughout manuals, websites, handbooks, emails, recorded conversations, and even the minds of your employees. A company wiki can bring all that knowledge together into one searchable location.
CHALLENGES:
ADDITIONAL WORK: Employees are asked to contribute knowledge to wiki which is not a part of the core work. Also creating content for wiki takes an ample amount of time. But good part is that a little work now will reduce the amount of work needed later and that the ultimate key.
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: It does not give much of an insight as compared to that of a employees knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE BASE:
In knowledge base one can store information online that a particular company team can access at their own will. Companies knowledge database helps companies to spend less time on answering simple questions and more time on complex questions.
TYPES:
There are six main types of database.
INTERNAL : It is a type of knowledge database that is restricted only for employees of particular organization.
EXTERNAL: It is a type of knowledge database that can be publicly visible for users about a particular company or product.
HOSTED: This collects and stores information about internal and external customers keeping the data well organized.
SELF HOSTED: This is type of self hosted by one’s own organization servers which also means that the organization is responsible for fixing issues.
CUSTOMER: It is an organization that organizes in a way that it makes it easy for customers to access.
OPEN SOURCE: It has open accessibly to the public.it may or may not be free of cost.
BENEFITS:
USER FRIENDLY: This lets users update content without using special markup language and hence makes it user friendly.
FAST AND RELIABLE: It is fast and has advanced search engine and linking capabilities as compared to wiki.
VERIFICATION AND REVIEW: Users can easily delete, edit or amend that content. It also supports automated identification and verification.
CHALLENGES:
ACCURACY: Be sure it has built-in rules and validation,
SECYRITY: Security is important and make sure that the content is shared only with your employees and not your opponents.
CORPORATE WIKI VS KNOWLEDGE BASE – WHICH IS THE BEST:
Corporate wiki and knowledge base are likes frogs and toads, they look similar but are actually different. Wikis are fantastic for collaboration and planning. There are always ideas down on a page. Knowledge Bases are great for authoritative content that’s reliable and finished. There’s no one such solution for the argument of a Wiki vs a Knowledge Base. Just like frogs and toads they co exists without being same. At the end of the day, one can choose what’s relevant and easy for them.

You should say thanks to reader in anticipation for his/her time and efforts he/she has spared to consider your request but don’t try to thank the person in advance for what you have requested from him/her.
It can be arrogant and can put an effect to reader that you are not giving him/her choice to deny your request. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a former Indian international cricketer who captained the Indian national team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2017 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. Under his captaincy, India won the inaugural 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, the 2011 ICC Cricket tournament and therefore the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. A right-handed middle-order batsman and wicket-keeper, Dhoni is one of the very best run scorers in One Day Internationals (ODIs) with quite 10,000 runs scored and is taken into account as an efficient “finisher” in limited-overs format. He’s widely considered to be one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen and captains within the history of the sport. He was also the primary wicket-keeper to effect 100 stumpings in ODI cricket.
Dhoni made his ODI debut on 23 December 2004 against Bangladesh, and played his first Test a year later against Sri Lanka. He has been the recipient of many awards, including the ICC ODI Player of the Year award in 2008 and 2009 (the first player to win the award twice), the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 2007, the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour, in 2009 and therefore the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour, in 2018. Dhoni was named the captain of the ICC World Test XI in 2009, 2010 and 2013. He has also been selected a record 8 times in ICC World ODI XI teams, 5 times as captain. The Indian territorial reserve conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Dhoni on 1 November 2011. He’s the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to receive this honour.
Dhoni also holds numerous captaincy records like the foremost wins by an Indian captain in ODIs and T20Is, and most back-to-back wins by an Indian captain in ODIs. He took over the ODI captaincy from Rahul Dravid in 2007 and led the team to its first-ever bilateral ODI series wins in Sri Lanka and New Zealand. In June 2013, when India defeated England within the final of the Champions Trophy in England, Dhoni became the primary captain to win all three ICC limited-overs trophies (World Cup, Champions Trophy and also the World Twenty20). After usurping the Test captaincy in 2008, he led the team to series wins in New Zealand and therefore the Windies, and also the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008, 2010 and 2013. In 2009, Dhoni also led the Indian team to first position for the primary time within the ICC Test rankings.
In 2013, under Dhoni’s captaincy, India became the first team in more than 40 years to whitewash Australia in an exceedingly Test series. Within the Indian Premier League, he captained the Chennai Super Kings to victory in the 2010, 2011 and 2018 seasons, together with wins within the 2010 and 2014 editions of Champions League Twenty20. In 2011, Time magazine included Dhoni in its annual Time 100 list of the “Most Influential People within the World.” Dhoni holds the post of Vice-President of India Cements Ltd., after resigning from Air India. India Cements is the owner of the Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings, and Dhoni has been its captain since the first IPL season in 2008. He announced his retirement from Tests on 30 December 2014.
In 2012, SportsPro rated Dhoni the sixteenth most marketable athlete within the world. He is the co-owner of Indian Super League team Chennaiyin FC. In June 2015, Forbes ranked Dhoni at 23rd within the list of highest paid athletes within the world, estimating his earnings at US$31 million. In 2016, a biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story was made on his life and his cricket career up to the Indian team’s win at the 2011 Cricket tourney.
Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on 15 August 2020.

RECORDS HELD BY MS DHONI
- He is the only skipper to win three ICC trophies—ICC World T20, ICC World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy.
- Dhoni has scored 3,454 runs as Test skipper, the highest among wicketkeeper captains.
- He holds a record for the most number of dismissals—six (five catches, one stumping)—by an Indian wicketkeeper in an ODI innings.
- He dismissed 444 batsmen in ODIs, most by an Indian wicketkeeper (321 catches, 123 stumpings).
- He holds the record for most sixes by a wicketkeeper (229) in ODIs.
- He has 91 dismissals in T20Is (57 catches and 34 stumpings), the most by a wicketkeeper.
- He has made 195 stumpings in international cricket (123 ODIs, 38 Tests and 34 T20Is), the most by a wicketkeeper.
- Dhoni has smashed 217 sixes in IPL, the most by a wicketkeeper.
- Dhoni smashed an unbeaten 183 against Sri Lanka at Jaipur in 2005, the highest by a wicketkeeper in ODIs.
- He is the only Indian wicketkeeper to score a double ton (224) in Tests.

WOMAN’S EDUCATION
Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. More than 40 years ago, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights asserted that “everyone has the right to education”

Educating the girl child produces mothers who are educated and who will, in turn, educate their children care for their families and provide their children care and support. The girl child needs to be educated to acquire knowledge and skills needed to advance her status for social interactions and self – improvement.
The Unmatched Importance of Female Education
Increased Literacy
Of the illiterate youth across the globe, nearly 63 percent are female. Offering all children education will prop up literacy rates, pushing forward development in struggling regions.

Human Trafficking
Women are most vulnerable to trafficking when they are undereducated and poor, according to the United Nations Inter – Agency Project on Human Trafficking. Through providing young girls with opportunities and fundamental skills, Human Trafficking can be significantly undermined.

Political Representation
Across the globe, women are under represented as voters and restricted from political involvement. The United Nations Women’s Programmes on Leadership and Participation suggest that civic education, training and all around empowerment will reduce this gap.

Thriving Babies
According to the United Nations Girls Education Initiative, children of educated mothers are twice as likely to survive past the age of five.

Later Marriage
As suggested by the United Nations Population Fund, in underdeveloped countries, one in every three girls is married before reaching the age of 18. In a region where a girl receives seven or more years of education, the wedding date is delayed by four years.

Income Potential
Education also increases a woman ‘s earning capabilities. According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, ( UNESCO ) a single year of primary education has shown to increase a girl ‘s wages later in life by 20 percent.

Prospering GDP
Gross Domestic Product also rises when both girls and boys are being offered educational opportunities. When 10 percent more women attend school, GDP increase by three percent on average.

Poverty Reduction
When women are provided with equal rights and equal access to education, they go on to participate in economic activity. Increased earning power leads to reduction in poverty level .

Savitribai Phule
Savitribai Phule as a tradition breaker, the first female teacher at the first girls’ school. When we talk about the girls’ education only Jyotirao Phule is remembered as the champion of women’s education in India. He, along with his wife Savitribai Phule, opened the first school for girls in 1848.

We educate women because it is smart. We educate women because it changes the world.

How to Write Informal Letter: Writing Tips and Samples
Want to write Informal letter but don’t know how to write Informal letter then this article is only for you and the learners who wants to learn letter writing. In today’s article we are sharing the steps, Tips or samples for writing Informal letter.
Informal letter or a Personal letter is a letter written to a close friend or an acquaintance. Isn’t it wonderful to receive such written letter from a friend?
Better yet, isn’t it wonderful to actually write one?
Letter writing still has a sentimentality about it that transcends all other forms of communication, and this is probably why some people stick to it even though they could use other means.
The best way of learning how to write letters, I reckon, is to look at a number of specimens, analyse what has to be done and perhaps what does not have to be done, don’t you agree?
Of course there are no hard and fast rules about how to write informal letter and common sense dictates that someone may use whatever works best for him. However, there is a conventional way of going about it that will make all the difference if you apply it.
How to Write Informal Letter:
As compared to formal letter writing Informal Letter writing is easy.
Informal Letter Format:
[Address of the Sender]
Date:
Dear (name of person)
Body of the letter:
Paragraph 1: Ask for the wellbeing of the person
Paragraph 2: Main reason to write the letter
Paragraph 3: Conclusion and end of letter
Yours lovingly,
Name of sender
Address and date in informal letter :
Some people may think the address is not important in an informal letter and prefer to leave it out. That works well if the person you are writing to knows your address already or if she has a good memory! However, it is very unlikely that someone will always remember your address, so it is always a good idea to include it.
Remember, this is the address they have to write to for the informal letter to reach you. The recipient’s address is on the envelope.
Salutation in Informal Letter
The most common salutation in an informal letter is “Dear….”
Note that it is followed by a comma.
Dear Mimi,
However, some go extremely informal and use “Hey!” or “Hi!”
You should use your discretion. Obviously if you are writing to your father, you would not use “Hey!” unless of course you are extremely close.
Body of an Informal Letter
Here are a few things you should take note of:
- Paragraphs:
Since informal letters are usually written by hand, the paragraphs are usually indented. However, with more people using their computers to do most of their writing(and I have a bad feeling most people will forget how to write with their hands), it is becoming a common practice to write paragraphs without
indentations—like the way this one is written:
This,
apparently, is the modern way of writing paragraphs.
Use informal language:
The first paragraph generally expresses a greeting, followed by wishes of good health. Remember you are writing to someone you know very well, so try to be as friendly as possible:
How are you my dear sister?
However, always use your discretion. Try not to go overboard. Some people become bold and daring in letters and write things that they would otherwise not say to the person face to face. Obviously if you are writing to
an adult that you respect, like your dad, try not to write things like:
“What’s up dude!” or “What’s going down?”
Try to picture the person you are writing to standing in front
of you. Imagine the things that you would say to him and write them down. This will help you not to go overboard.
Also avoid boring sentences like…
“I am writing this letter to….”
Punctuation and spelling
I have come across a good number of letters that abound with spelling mistakes and awful punctuation. Such
mistakes tend to distract the reader, so don’t neglect them even though you know your friend will understand.
The quality of your letter also speaks volumes about the kind of person you are so all the more reason to be careful!
If you use contractions, make sure that you put the apostrophe in the right places.
For example:
Isn’t and not is’nt
won’t and not wont
mustn’t and not must’nt
The contraction it’s is especially one that you must watch out for. It is the short form of it is or it has. But if you want to use it to indicate possession, you should use its and not it’s.
Check out this example:
The dog lost its collar.
Remember also to use capitals for the right things i.e. the names of people, places, holidays, etc should all start witha capital letter. Bottom line? Don’t throw away your grammar book!
Use consistence voice and style in Informal Letter
Use the active voice if you want your letter to sound more conversational and interesting. Avoid shifts in the voice.

Is India wrecked by socialism?
India’s economy is socialist, according to the constitution. Mrs. Indira Gandhi introduced this word in the 1970s. As the British occupied India for nearly 150 years, they began as a firm to transfer raw materials from India to the United Kingdom. This has frightened India into reopening its market to the rest of the world. Nehru was unusual in this regard; he permitted only a few enterprises to expand and concentrated his efforts on the agriculture sector.
The term ‘socialist’ was added to the Preamble by the Forty-second Amendment.
In the past, the Indian government implemented many social welfare programmes to demonstrate its socialist credentials, such as bank nationalisation, various job initiatives such as NREGA, and even selling milk. While the majority of these ponzi schemes failed, they added to the government’s financial burden. All of these ideas had a significant impact on citizens. Everyone began to rely more heavily on free goods. People began to expect cheaper rations, a free cooker, and subsidised gasoline or kerosene. Except for a few communities such as the Marwadi and the Gujratis, no one backed private industry, and everyone was focused on government jobs. Entrepreneurs were frequently reprimanded or disheartened. Profit was viewed as a bad thing, and wealthy people were frequently blamed for the country’s plight. In films from the 1970s and 1980s, the villain is typically wealthy, smoking a cigar, holding a peg of whisky in one hand, and plotting how to exploit low-wage workers. Building a business involves time, effort, risk, and expertise. In India, the image of business and the evil it entails is still pervasive. A large number of people still rely on the government to help them. Everything that is wrong with their lives is due to the government in some way.
India gradually up its market to the rest of the world and established a free market economy in 1991. While every step India takes has a significant impact, we have fallen behind other countries such as China, which began reforming a decade ago. China was able to nail down a few details regarding how the business model will work in a communist country. In India, entrepreneurs find it extremely difficult to start a firm because of the so-called red tape that still exists. The Indian bureaucracy is rotting from the inside out. The nature of the “Sarkari Babus” is still incompetent, slow, and corrupt. Obtaining land, establishing a factory, and obtaining a licence are all arduous tasks for entrepreneurs.
India chose a government-directed growth path over a market-driven one when it gained independence. With a GDP of around Rs.36 thousand crores and government revenue of around Rs.330 crores, we were a shaky economy. The average lifespan was only 31 years. That was an opportune time to pass away. We were also hard struck by the costs of World War II, as well as the bloody partition, which saw the largest human migration in history. Market forces would have positioned us as the world’s tailors, cobblers, and domestic assistance suppliers, given our large and impoverished population. Nehru, on the other hand, chose to invest on new infrastructure (the Temples of Modern India) in order to propel India ahead. The four huge steel plants, the DVC, the Bhakra Nangal project, and numerous public sector investments in power, locomotives, railway coaches, paved roads, irrigation, water supply, schools, IITs and IIMs, hospitals, and other areas were among them. The pressures continued to mount until we were on the verge of declaring bankruptcy in 1991. Then came the Narasimha Rao government, with Manmohan Singh as Finance Minister and Chidambaram as Commerce Minister, which changed everything. Nonetheless, all administrations since then have been mindful of the need to help India’s poor, rather than abandoning them to market forces.
Types of learners and how to engage them
- Auditory and Musical learners
To engage a social learner, encourage both group collaboration and presentation. Consider:
- Roleplaying historical events or works of literature
- Collaborating on maths problems
- Working as a class on comprehension questions
Auditory learners like to hear solutions and examples explained to them, and may gravitate towards music subjects and group learning as a way to understand information. Auditory learners often have a high aptitude for distinguishing notes and tones in music and speech.
Qualities often associated with auditory learners include:
- Possessing a ‘good ear’ for music and tones
- May be distractible
- Likes to talk to self / others / hum / sing
Auditory learners might say words out loud or hum tones to better learn them. This strategy is key for keeping musical learners engaged in class lessons.
How to engage them?
If you’re a music teacher, you’re in luck. Auditory learners will be engaged from start to finish. For other subjects however, engaging aural learners requires some tact and forethought.
The key here is your voice (and the voice of your students). Write down something on the whiteboard, then read it out loud. Work on your delivery so you can express learning material in interesting and engaging tones. Similarly, encourage your students to read back their own notes to themselves (and the class). Hearing the sound of their own voice and the voices of others is engaging to auditory learners, but it can be a great learning tool for students of all types.
Other strategies you can try include:
- Recording lessons for later listening and reference
- Encouraging auditory listeners to ‘teach others’ verbally
- Seating them away from distractions
2. Visual and Spatial learner
Visual learners like diagrams, drawing out concepts, charts and processes. They learn by looking at visual concepts, creating them, and watching other people create them. Visual learners might be organised or creative in their application, and find things like colours and shapes useful.
Visual learners often possess the following qualities:
- Habitual doodlers / drawers
- Observant
- Not easily distracted
- Enjoys planning
- Prefers visual instructions
How to engage them?
To engage a visual learner in the classroom you’ll want to include elements like maps, diagrams and imagery. If you have a projector, try to include relevant images to go along with the course content. In geography and history, maps are helpful, while for maths and logic, go with diagrams.
Charts, images and diagrams will aid most students, so catering to visual learners doesn’t mean you have to ignore other types. When it comes to self-driven learning, encourage the spatially aware to sketch out their ideas, create mind maps and flowcharts. It should probably come to them naturally, but a bit of prompting can always help.
Other tactics you can use include:
- Sitting visual learners near the front
- Using colour codes and cues
- Encouraging note taking and recopying notes during study
3. Verbal learner
Verbal learning includes both writing and speaking. Verbal learners might have a preference for reading and writing, word games and poems. Verbal learners know the meanings of a broad category of words, can use them effectively, and actively seek out new words to add to their repertoire.
Some qualities associated with verbal learners include:
- Intellectual
- Bookworm
- Good story teller
Verbal learners often seek out careers in journalism and writing, administration, law and politics.
How to engage them?
Verbal learners will want to write down notes, talk about concepts and potentially present them as well. The trick with verbal learners is knowing what adjacent types of learning apply to them – are they an outgoing or more introspective verbal learner? Some may lean more to talking, while others to reading and writing. Try to cater to preference while also using their verbal abilities to push personal boundaries every once in awhile.
4. Logical and Mahematical learners
Perhaps unsurprisingly, mathematical learners err towards careers in programming, accountancy, science, research and other number and pattern-orientated careers. Some qualities associated with mathematical learners include:
- Pattern recognition
- Good with numbers
- Predisposition towards grouping and classification
How to engage them?
Mathematical learners will greatly appreciate any type of learning that logically explains the subject at hand. For maths, that’s easy. For other subjects, it requires some effort and planning:
- History and geography: Try to include statistics and classification taxonomy in your lesson plans.
- Literature: Ask your students “What category of book is this?” Or in poetry, have them learn the meters and explain them to other students.
- Music: Teach both musical instrument classification (woodwind etc) and the mathematical relationships between notes.
- Art: A good starting point is the colour wheel and the effects of combining different colours.
With logical students, always look to incorporate a system. If you’re unsure, include the students in the development of that system. They’ll benefit from it greatly.
5. Physical and Kinaesthetic learner
Commonly called hands-on learners, kinesthetics prefer to physically engage with the materials of the subject matter. Some qualities associated with physical learners include:
- Preference to ‘get their hands dirty’
- Energetic, may drum fingers or shake legs
- Action-orientated and outgoing
- May de-prioritise reading and writing
Physical learners represent about 50% of the population, and gravitate towards careers with lots of hands on work like emergency services, physical education and sports.
How to engage them?
Channeling the energy and excitability of physical learners is key to offering a good lesson. Taking breaks so they can move around can help, but so can encouraging role play and movement within the lesson itself. Physical interaction is also important. The use of props and models will greatly benefit a kinaesthetic learner. Give them something to grab onto and they’ll process information much better than from a book or whiteboard.
Other strategies to engage physical learners include:
- Encouraging movement during study (don’t punish them for fidgeting)
- Decluttering desks and surfaces so they can focus on learning
6. Social and Interpersonal learner
Social learners show preference towards groups and collaboration. Some, but not all, will gravitate towards leadership within a group. Some of the qualities often associated with this type of learner include:
- Extraverted
- Good communicator
- Sensitive and empathetic
It’s important for educators to understand that not all social learners are extraverted or highly communicative, and that they can also be visual, auditory, verbal, logical or physical learners. The interpersonal aspect perhaps better describes the settings in which they are most comfortable, rather than how they absorb information.
As such, teachers should be cognisant of the breadth of variation between different types of social learners. For example, social doesn’t strictly mean verbal. Some social learners prefer to listen in a group setting, rather than on their own.
How to engage them?
Interpersonal learners like to ‘do’ and to ‘share’. This can sometimes lead to distraction for other students who are more intrapersonal in their learning habits. To prevent this, try to channel social learners into providing value to the group, giving them tasks that use their energy usefully, with a focus on empathy for their classmates.
7. Social and Intrapersonal learner
Solitary learners can be visual, auditory, physical, verbal or logical learners. Fulfilling all the needs of the solitary student will ensure they are fully engaged. Some of the qualities often associated with this type of learner include:
- Independent
- Introspective
- Private
Intrapersonal learners may gravitate towards careers with a lot of self determination or motivation, as well as solitary workloads. Think:
- Researchers
- Writers and authors
- Programmers and coders
How to engage them?
In a classroom environment it can sometimes be difficult to engage a solitary learner. They might sit silently in the back of the classroom, only to ace the exam at the end of semester. For the educator, it’s important to engage them during class. Provide visual materials, books and learning aids. Designate quiet areas, and collaborate with defined sharing time so the solitary learner can feel adequately prepared.
Mixed learning approach
With large classrooms, it’s not always easy to personalise lessons, but using a mixed learning approach throughout coursework can help you cater to each type of learning style. You may decide to focus on a particular learning type each lesson, or incorporate multiple strategies within each lesson. The most important element is first recognising the differences in student learning – the rest will flow from there.
Self help

What is self-love?
It is nothing but the self-improvement economically, intellectually or emotionally. In other word’s one care about him/her self in all aspects of life.
Self-doubt
When you spend all your time and energy trying to manage other people perceptive of you, you will stuck with the self-doubt.
When you do it so you will feel inadequate and at the point remember that each one of us life is different from one another.
I’m sure you’re experienced a situation where someone made your day it all because of the kind word and compliment, it can bring to yourself by a writing a letter to your own.
No person is an island, as the saying goes and that holds true for our life too, so keep people who encourage you.
Becoming comfortable with yourself
When you make your needs priorities it is easier to feel good about who you are.
Meditation will help’s you to find what’s your need, It’s like answering yes or no.
Say yes or no according to you.
Don’t let other people put you down for the things that make you unique.
In this modern era, we don’t even have time to spend with friends and family, so at least you have to spend time with your self and you will meet the best person in this world.

Identifying the triggers
Our body say’s what we are going through.
Notice any tensing of muscles, increased heart rate, tingles or any physical change that generally indicates what you’re experiencing.
It help’s to enhance your self- awareness, do notice that how your mind takes the story its good/ bad, nice/evil.
When you are trying to identify your emotional triggers, often you can prevent yourself from being triggered, so remove your attention from that and focus on your breath.
Eliminate negativity
The minute you catch your mind in a negative thought focus on how grateful you are.
Be grateful what you have
When you catch yourself in a complaint, congratulate yourself for being aware, awareness is the 1st step in stopping bad habit.
Turn your problem into challenge.
Making new habits
Decide clearly that you are going to begin acting in a specific way 100% of the time, whenever that be haviour is required.
The more often you visualize and imagine yourself acting as if you already had the new habit, the more rapidly this new be haviour will be accepted by your brain and becomes automatic.
When you realize to persist in the new be haviour it become automatic and easy and even you will feel uncomfortable when you don’t do.
When you start rewarding yourself you will become more positive and you will become more positive and you will keep on doing.
Self-love
People become mindful when they think, feel, do, what they want.
You will like yourself more, when you take better care of you basic need.
Say yes or no as per your needs, if you say yes to what you don’t like, it will deplete or harm you physically/ emotionally.
Remember, there are no failure, if you have learned and grown from your mistakes, they are only lessons learned.
Your purpose doesn’t have to be crystal clear to you, we are living with purpose and design.
