ROBERT FROST

Who Was Robert Frost?

Robert Frost was an American poet and winner of four Pulitzer Prizes. Famous works include “Fire and Ice,” “Mending Wall,” “Birches,” “Out Out,” “Nothing Gold Can Stay” and “Home Burial.” His 1916 poem, “The Road Not Taken,” is often read at graduation ceremonies across the United States. As a special guest at President John F. kennedy’s inauguration, Frost became a poetic force and the unofficial “poet laureate” of the United States.

Frost spent his first 40 years as an unknown. He exploded on the scene after returning from England at the beginning of World War II. He died of complications from prostate surgery on January 29, 1963.

Early Years

Frost was born on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California. He spent the first 11 years of his life there, until his journalist father, William Prescott Frost Jr., died of tuberculosis.

Following his father’s passing, Frost moved with his mother and sister, Jeanie, to the town of Lawrence, Massachusetts. They moved in with his grandparents, and Frost attended Lawrence High School.

After high school, Frost attended Dartmouth college for several months, returning home to work a slew of unfulfilling jobs.

Beginning in 1897, Frost Harvard University  but had to drop out after two years due to health concerns. He returned to Lawrence to join his wife.

In 1900, Frost moved with his wife and children to a farm in New Hampshire — property that Frost’s grandfather had purchased for them—and they attempted to make a life on it for the next 12 years. Though it was a fruitful time for Frost’s writing, it was a difficult period in his personal life, as two of his young children died.

During that time, Frost and Elinor attempted several endeavors, including poultry farming, all of which were fairly unsuccessful.

Despite such challenges, it was during this time that Frost acclimated himself to rural life. In fact, he grew to depict it quite well, and began setting many of his poems in the countryside.

World Nature Conservative Day

Conservation of nature is basically conservation of resources such as wind, water, sunlight, land, vegetation, animal life and minerals. We get all these resources by nature without any human intervention. These resources are further employed to create various things that make the lives of humans as well as other creatures present on Earth comfortable.

Natural resources have been mainly classified into renewable resources and non-renewable resources. Renewable resources are those that can be naturally regenerated. It includes air, water and sunlight. The emphasis is generally on the use of renewable resources rather than nonrenewable resources as nonrenewable resources are depleting rapidly and are difficult to compensate.

Conservation of nature is an issue that needs to be taken seriously. Governments of various countries are using many methods to conserve resources, in the same way people should also come forward to contribute in this direction. There are some ways through which the common man can help in the preservation of nature. Those methods include planting trees, limiting paper usage, preventing wastage of water and electricity, stopping animal poaching, and employing rainwater reuse systems. It is not difficult to put the above measures into practice in a planned way. If each of us gave our meaningful contribution for the protection of nature, then whatever benefits it would bring would be truly tremendous for mankind.

Nature has provided us numerous gifts such as air, water, land, sunlight, minerals, plants, and animals. All these gifts of nature make our earth a place worth living. Existence on Earth would not be possible without any of these. Now, while these natural resources are present on Earth in plenty. Unfortunately, the necessity of most of these has increased extremely over the centuries due to growth in the human population.

What is Conservation of Nature?Conservation of nature means the preservation of forests, land, water bodies, and minerals, fuels, natural gases, etc. And to make sure that all these continue to be available in abundance. Thus all these natural resources make life worth living on Earth. Life would not be imaginable without air, water, sunlight as well as other natural resources present on the earth. Thus, it is essential to conserve these resources in order to retain the environment integral. Here is a look at the types of natural resources existing on Earth and the ways to conserve these:Types of Natural Resources:Renewable Resources:

These are resources such as air, water, and sunlight that refill naturally.Non-Renewable Resources: These are resources like fossil fuels and minerals that do not restock reform very slowly.Biotic: These originate from living beings and organic material like plants and animals.Abiotic: These come from non-living things and non-organic material. These comprise air, water, and land as well as metals like iron, copper, and silver.Natural resources are also categories such as actual resources, reserve resources, stock resources and potential resources based on their development stage.

How to Conserve Nature and Its Resources? Many of the natural resources are being used at a faster rate as compared to their speed of production. There is so a necessity for conservation of nature and the natural resources it offers. Here are some of the ways in which these resources can be conserved:Reduce Water ConsumptionWater is available in abundance on Earth. This is one of the reasons people do not consider much before using it. However, if we keep using it at this speed. In the future, we may not be left with as much of it. Therefore, simple things such as turn off the tap while brushing or reuse the leftover water to water the plants can help in this direction.Reduce Usage of ElectricityUse only as much energy as you require. It is thus advised to limit the usage of electricity. Simple habits such as turning off the lights before parting your room, turn off the electric appliances after use. Switching to energy-saving fluorescent or LED bulbs can make a change.

Restrict Usage of PaperPaper manufacturing depends only on trees. Increasing the use of paper means encouraging deforestation. This is one of the key reasons for concern is in today’s time Always ensure you use only as much paper as necessary. Stop taking print outs and use e-copies instead to do your bit.Use Newer Agricultural MethodsThe government must aware the methods such as mixed cropping, crop rotation. Also, the government should teach the minimum use of pesticides, insecticides. Appropriate use of manures, bio-fertilizers, and organic fertilizers to the farmers.Spread AwarenessSpreading awareness about the conservation of nature is always a necessary step. It can be achieved only when more and more people understand its importance and the ways in which they can help. Besides this, it is essential to plant more and more tress. It is necessary to contribute towards lowering air pollution. We must use shared transport and employing rainwater harvesting systems to conserve nature.ConclusionNature comprises of everything that surrounds us.

The trees, forests, rivers, rivulets, soil, air all are the part of nature. Keeping nature and its resources integral. So, it is very important for the continuation of life on earth. It would be difficult to imagine life on earth, which has a spoiled natural environment. Therefore, taking appropriate steps to conserve nature in its untouched form. It must be a priority for the human race. Only human beings with their power and ability can save nature in its purest forms.

Why Silence is So Powerful

“Silence is a source of great strength” – Lao Tzu the founder of Taoism philosophy

Silence nourishes our mind and soul and makes us reflective as it is our internal necessity. Through silence we ingress into the imaginary world where we can expand our creativity beyond our boundaries. Silence makes us physically, mentally, emotionally, and morally strong.

In today’s increasingly stressful and fast-moving world, we rarely apply wisdom while taking our decisions. Instead, we prefer the mechanics of quick problem-solving to get immediate outcomes. Decisions that are taken without thinking are mostly irrational and random. For making proper decisions, we need to use silence as a tool. It often provides us the opportunity to have sufficient time to think deeply and understand the matter before jumping to a random decision.

When you are in silence, your mind and soul are deeply connected, and in this phase, your inspirations may bubble-up. You may find solutions suddenly for which you might have been struggling for a long time.

You all might have once heard these famous lines “At times silence can speak louder than voice.” Choosing silence is the best way to enhance conversations and strengthen your bonds as it’s a space between our feelings and response. When you keep silent, naturally, you would listen more in a conversation, and others would have the opportunity to speak and share more. Active listening is the key for trust-worthy and effective relationships. Silence helps us in thinking deeper, wakes us up, and increases our emotional regulation.

“Silence” is an explicit power that can either glorify or destroy your life, depending on your choice. Your engagement to its lighter or darker side would decide your transformation.

The closeted souls

Meet Jay , a 19 year college student. Jay came out to their parents last year as queer. You must be wondering why did I use ” their ” for a single person, well the simple answer is- because they want to be called in that way. Because they recognise themselves in a way that might seem weird to you , but is completely normal and real.

How difficult is it to finally understand who you actually are , it takes a lot amount of courage to recognise oneself as someone ,who people don’t relate to. Sec 377 has been legally abrogated. And people have to understand that being themselves is neither wrong nor something to be embarrassed of.

Inclusive health care for the LGBTQ community | Norton Healthcare Louisville, Ky.

LGBTQ community has been facing a lot of difficulties , from their families , and society as a whole. They are discriminated against, not given equal amount of opportunities, and have to face the brunt of the narrow mindedness of the society everyday. The number of hate crimes against the community are increasing day by day. Despite being a part of the society, they are made to feel as outsiders. Do you realise how difficult it is to understand oneself ,and even more difficult to explain it to others.

The worst part is when they have to look for validation, acceptance for who they are from their loved ones, and they don’t get that . It’s strange for someone to not look at you with the same feelings of love and respect anymore. Fighting for one’s rights has always been a tough battle. It also affects their mental health because the amount of stress and negativity they have to deal with.

Many people have not been able to come out of the closet, not able to accept themselves as who they are. It’s very suffocating for them to not be able to live their life as they want to. For some , it has been a beautiful journey with supportive family and friends, and for some , the journey is just not coming to an end.

Platforms like Gaysi and Gaylaxy, and publishers like Queer Ink have helped carve out spaces for LGBT people to interact, share and collaborate. These platforms have helped people to share their experiences and help them to encourage others to accept who they are.

I just want to put it out their, that who you are, is something only you can know. Nobody has the right to decide that for you. And don’t ever give that right to anybody else. Loving yourself the way you are is the best thing you can do for you. It doesn’t matter if people don’t accept you , what matters the most if for you to accept yourself and be happy.

Beti Bachao, Beti padhao

-Aditi Raj

“don’t let life end before it even begins, save girl child

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme is a nationwide scheme which is purposefully launched to address the serious issue of decreasing girl child ratio in the nation as well as the society. This programme has also a major motive to empower every girl child in our country. This scheme has been successfully launched by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd of January at Panipat, Haryana. This scheme is to make people aware of the importance of girl child in the Indian society as well as bring some positive mindset in our country towards girl child. In our society, girls are treated like burden in our life who need to spend their whole life for their parents or husband.

However it is not true, girls occupy half of their population of the world. So that means they are equally need for the sustaining life in the earth. Since several years, girls have been treated as a domestic slave and are given food to eat, but she has no rights to speak over primary matters of the family. For infusing self confidence in girls, it is important that they are aware of their rights and rights to education is one of the most important right which a girl child should have equal access to. Population and poverty are other reasons why most of the Indian families stop their girl child from stepping towards higher education

Different NGOs have also joined hands and organize various campaigns to increase awareness about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Large hoardings and banners are placed at the popular locality in order to grab the attention of a larger audience.

Greenhouse effect

Greenhouse effect

Abstract

Greenhouses affect the level of oceans and seas. Many environmental problems arise due to carbon dioxide excess in the environment. Reason of greenhouse effects is excess use of chemicals which release harmful gases.  Individuals can reduce the carbon footprints. Government can also take strict action against the companies who are responsible for degradation in the environment.

Greenhouse effect

The greenhouse effect means increasing the level of gases in the earth’s atmosphere which leads to the warmness in the environment and an excess of the temperature of the environment.

In the atmosphere there are three layers of exosphere, thermosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere and troposphere.

There is an ozone layer above the stratosphere. It helps to protect from ultraviolet rays and maintain the temperature of the environment. Due to the pollution, the ozone layer starts depleting. The gases are trapped in the atmosphere and increase the warmth (by 3- 4 degree celsius) in the environment.

The gases which are responsible for the greenhouse effect are:

Carbon, nitrous oxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and water vapour.

Type of layers in atmosphere.

Causes of greenhouse effect

Over time human activities continue to develop. Humans want more and more from everything. Burning fossil fuel, deforestation for urbanisation and cultivation, progress in chemical factories, use of cfcs in cooling stuff of home appliances, overpopulation, farming, transportation, landfill and forestry smog and pollution, acidification of water bodies and industrial act effect  leads to climate change in the environment.

According to the environmental experts and scientists only the United States of America produces 95% of the gases worldwide (5th assessment report on climate change).

Reference link of that report.

Impact of greenhouse effect

  • Melting of polar ice – Due to the rise in temperature the polar ice starts melting. The level of oceans and seas increased, which led to floods and cyclones.
  • Climatic extremes-  climatic extremes such as drought, excess rainfall , leads to threat to the life and wealth of an individual. An increase of co2 in the environment also affects the ecosystem of a particular place. Some fungi, pests and weeds are also deprived under warm water.
  • Impact on crops- our crops are also affected by the increasing of level co2 in the environment.  Co2 reduces the nutrient level of crops. It imbalanced the concentration of protein and other important and essential nutrients.
  • Health issues- warming the environment also increase the health risk of an individual. Malaria, cholra, dengue and now covid-19  all are result of increasing the temperature in the environment.
  • Migration of species- due to the change in the climate, many species have to migrate forcefully from their regions. The migration create the problem of sustaning and settlement.

Prevention from greenhouse effect

Reducing the emission of gases lead gcan prevent the greenhouse effect. International organisation also give some recommendations as follow

At individual level

  • Use of renewble energy- we should use solar panel for our household and small industries.
  • Use of public transport insist of private: Transportron also increase the level of co2 in the environment because of the combustion of dissel and petrol. So we should use public transport instead of private.
  • Afforestion- Go green , grow more trees. Trees and plants  consume the carbondioxide and release oxygen and make the environment cool in temperature.

at national level

  • India greenhouse programme- The programme provide standarized method and measure to use GHG emission.
  • The world resources (WRI)-  it was launched by 2013 and provide the companies knowledge of identify the emission, measure the use of GHG, establish the long and short terms goals.
  • National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) 2008.- The plan take initiative to work for the mitigation of green house gas emissuon that are causing change in climate.

conclusion.

The green house effect has cause by the emission of methane, nitrous oxide and carbondioxide. The level of increasing co2 in the environment can lead the warmth in the temperature. Due to the high temperature the polar ice are melting which leads flood and other climatic extreme. We should work at the rooth level to reduced the emission of co2 gasses.

What is an Ode ?

John Keat , William Wordsworth , Thomas Gray , Alexander  Pope , Percy Bysshe Shelley etc are some renowned ode  poets of the past  centuries .

The word ode comes from two   Ancient Greek words ὁδός which means ” path or way ” and  word aeidein, which means to “sing or to chan“.

In English poetry ,

Ode is a poetic form that can be generalized as a formal address to someone or something.

M.H Abrams defined the ode as , ” a long poem that is serious in subject and treatment elevated in style and elaborate in its stanzaic structure .”

It is a structured poem praising or glorifying an event or individual, describing nature in lyric form  often  in ceremonial, and formal tone.

Originally  the Greek odes were pieces of poetry  performed with musical or without music  accompaniment , sung or recited .

It is seen that an ode can be in the form of  sonnet or elegy.

It is patterned in lyrical literary technique which is not very lengthy. The subject matter of the poem is highlighted in a serious but formal tone with elaborated patterns of stanzas.

Besides addressing some animate or inanimate objects or abstract ideas , the ode is sometimes used to commemorate important public events.

A salient feature of ode is its uniform metrical feet, but poets generally do not strictly follow this rule though use highly elevated themes.

Some examples of odes are

Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood (By William Wordsworth),

Ode to the Confederate Dead (By Allen Tate),

The Progress of Poesy: A Pindaric Ode (By Thomas Gray,

Ode on a Grecian Urn (By John Keats), etc.

 Structure of an Ode Poem

An lyrical form poem , ode is traditionally divided into three stanzas:

• The strophe • the antistrophe • the epode

Traditional odes are an example of lyric poetry, which means that they have a regular rhyme scheme, pertain to feelings or emotions and generally use only one speaker’s perspective. The characteristics of an ode vary depending on the time period and geographical location in which it was written.

• The strophe. In a Greek ode, the strophe usually consists of two or more lines repeated as a unit. In modern usage, the term strophe can refer to any group of verses that form a distinct unit within a poem.

•The antistrophe. The second section of an ode is structured the same way as the strophe, but typically offers a thematic counterbalance.

The epode. This section or stanza typically has a distinct meter and length from the strophe and antistrophe, and serves to summarize or conclude the ideas of the ode.

Types of ode

Traditionally ode is of three types

Pindaric,

Horatian, and

 Irregular or English ode

Pindaric ode :-

Pindaric odes were performed with a chorus and dancers, and often composed to celebrate athletic victories.

The Pindaric is named for the ancient Greek poet Pindar, who is credited with innovating this choral ode form.

The ode contains  formal opening,( strophe,) with a complex  metrical structure, followed by an antistrophe, which mirrors the opening, and an epode, the final closing section of a different length and composed with a different metrical structure.

Best example of Pindaric ode is  William Wordsworth ‘s  poem “Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood”

There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream,

The earth, and every common sight

                                To me did seem

                        Apparelled in celestial light,

The glory and the freshness of a dream.

It is not now as it hath been of yore;—

                          Turn wheresoe’er I may,

                            By night or day,

The things which I have seen I now can see no more.

The Horatian ode :-

The Horatian ode, named for the Roman poet Horace.

This type of ode contains two or four lines stanzas that share the same metric rhyme scheme and length.

It is generally more tranquil and contemplative than the Pindaric ode.

Less formal, less ceremonious, and better suited to quiet reading than theatrical production.

Best example of Horatio ode  is the Allen Tate poem “Ode to the Confederate Dead,”

Row after row with strict impunity

The headstones yield their names to the element,

     The wind whirrs without recollection;

In the riven troughs the splayed leaves

Pile up, of nature the casual sacrament

     To the seasonal eternity of death;

Then driven by the fierce scrutiny

Of heaven to their election in the vast breath,

They sought the rumour of mortality.

English  Ode ( Irregular Ode )

English ode is the type of ode which neither follows the Pindaric form nor the Horatian form .

It follows irregular versus structure and stanza pattern , hence also known as irregular ode . There is no formal rhyme scheme in this kind of ode .

 For example,

Ode on a Grecian Urn” by John Keats ,  Percy Bysshe Shelley’s “Ode to the West Wind,” Robert Creeley’s “America,” Bernadette Mayer’s “Ode on Periods,” and Robert Lowell’s “Quaker Graveyard in Nantucket ”  are some examples of irregular ode .

An ode usually expresses feelings in a dignified and sincere manner with a formal tone of imagination and discursive expounding of philosophical ideas .

Significance of ode

In the  history of literature, odes are seen to hold elevated positions .

Romantic poets used odes to celebrate their strongest sentiments and deepest administrations . Ode was a famous form of poetry in both 18 th and 19th centuries.

Odes are usually written in appreciation or reflection. They are almost always written about a significant event, or someone or something that the poet admires and hence has its significance in the history of literature.

Mystery Fiction With Hercule Poirot!

“Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand.”

  • Neil Armstrong

Today’s article introduces the wittiest fictional character Hercule Poirot who is a renowned detective in Agatha Christie’s novels.

Those of you who aren’t acquainted with Agatha Christie, she is a popular British author, known far and wide for her Mystery Novels. Agatha Christie makes use of amazing diction and accentuates the interesting British culture through her stories.

Getting back to the main topic, we interviewed M. Poirot, a French Detective who very calmly elaborated on writing Mystery Fiction. So, let us begin!

“Hello, M. Poirot! It’s So Nice To Meet You! We Are Glad To Have You Here With Us Today!”

“Bonjour! Enchante. Pareil Ici. I feel honoured to be here today! Merci for choosing me!”

“Please Don’t Mention It, M. Poirot! We Had Explained The Purpose Of This Interview On Call, That Is To….”

“Explain the Writing Process of Mystery Fiction. That’s right! Je Sais Cela! Shoot away your questions!”

“That’s Great, M. Poirot! So, My First Question For You Is That Does Writing Fascinate You?”

“Oui! It does. Writing as a whole is a fascinating process because it introduces you to an entirely new world of imagination which does or doesn’t exist. I enjoy reading more than watching videos or movies because reading doesn’t unravel the mystery of the characters easily since we are unable to view the facial expressions of the characters. And, I think, Je Pense, facial expressions reveal almost everything about the character and the suspense factor no longer remains. Thus, words are far better than actions! Anyway, Hercule Poirot loves mystery, il fait!

“That’s A Great Perspective! What Do You Think About Mystery Fiction?”

“Are you talking about Writing Mystery Fiction eh?”

“Yes, M. Poirot!”

“As far as Writing Mystery Fiction is concerned, one needs to have immense passion and love for the genre d’abord, because mystery needs correct framing of incidences that too in such a way, so as to not reveal or disrupt the suspense factor at any rate! You must have the talent of making the most unexpected person, the criminal at the end through twists and turns! Mystery Fiction is all about the efficiency of the writer in engaging and gluing the readers to their story! Alors, il faut y travailler!

“Interesting! So How Do You Think Can Mystery Be Written Effectively?”

“Comme je viens de le mentionner, firstly passion can make writing mystery interesting. Secondly, the most unexpected twists should make up the story. Then, one should make sure that the setting used is appropriate for a murder or any other sort of mystery you wish to cover. Also, one must show many suspicious characters throughout the story so as to confuse the readers and conceal the main culprit. The unveiling should be done at the end! Je voudrais suggerer murder mysteries when writing fiction, because they are way too mind boggling. However, writing them requires special talent as I stated above. The other thing is to create a character who would help in de masking the culprit just as I am, Le Sage Hercule Poirot who knows everything! This is what makes mystery difficult because there are many characters here and there are possibilities of getting bemused when writing such genres because of the large number of suspicious forms throughout the story. That is exactly what we call the talent. The talent of working with so many characters without messing up and weaving the story accurately with all the twists and turns expected!”

“That Is So Useful. So, If You Had To Recommend Writing A Genre To The Authors Out There, Which One Would Be Your Choice?

“It depends on whether the writer is a beginner or a professional. I would recommend the fantasy genre to beginners because getting into mystery requires some amount of expertise. The fantasy genre doesn’t demand much of the suspense factor thus, making its inclusion optional. Et Selon Hercule Poirot, Suspense is one of the most difficult compositions.

While professionals have the red carpet to trying all the possible genres. So, Oui this is my recommendation!”

“Thank You So Much M. Poirot For Giving Your Precious Time To This Interview. I Hope We Didn’t Disturb Your Schedule!”

“Non! Not at all! There isn’t any recent murder case up yet! But the Spanish Chest Murder Case has hit the newspapers and grabs my attention! Good old Miss Lemon is working on extracting some more information regarding that! My schedule is crystal clear now, so Ne T’inquiete Pas Cher, nothing is disturbed.”

“Glad To Know That M. Poirot! So, Would You Like To Give A Concluding Statement?”

“Certainement! I would like to conclude stating that everybody can write. You just need the will to begin and the passion to imagine. Write in a good state of mind and consider the requirements of the readers. Don’t set a time limit or deadline when resolving to write because that sets a limit to your imagination which is an infinite concept and can’t be subjected to a time interval. So, just remain calm and patient when writing. Begin writing and embrace the art!”

Thank You So Much M. Poirot!

TAMIL NADU ECONOMY

The economic and social development of states in India are not uniform. The western region and southern regions are better off than the other regions. Tamil Nadu is geographically eleventh largest and population wise third largest. Tamil Nadu fares well with many achievements. It stands second to second in terms of contribution to GDP, third highest in terms of capita income, investment, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and industrial output. It has been ranked as the most economically free state by the Economic Freedom.

In social and health sector also Tamil Nadu’s performance is better than many other states and better than national average in terms of health, higher education, IMR and MMR.

PERFORMANCE OF TAMIL NADU ECONOMY:

Some of the states like Gujarat and Maharashtra seem to perform well in some of the economic indicators. Kerala tops in literacy, IMR and MMR. In recent years Tanil Nadu’s performance is outstanding and far ahead of all other states in the spheres of health, higher education, growth of MSMEs, poverty alleviation and employment generation. The reason for the relative success of Tamil Nadu lie in extending social policies to cover most of the population. For instance the publisher distribution system, midday meals and public health infrastructure have near universal coverage.

PER CAPITA INCOME:

The per capita GSDP of Tamil Nadu also ($ 2,200) which is higher than that of many other states in India. Per capita GSDP of Tamil Nadu is nearly 1.75 times higher than the national average, as per 2018 data. In term of the per capita income in Tamil Nadu was 1,03,600 in 2010-11 and it has increased to 1,88,492 in 2017-18 as per the budget figures 2018.

HIGHLIGHTS OF TAMIL NADU ECONOMY: Growth of SGDP in Tamil Nadu has been among the fastest in India since 2005. Poverty reduction in Tamil Nadu has been faster than that in many other states. Tamil Nadu contains a smaller proportion of India’s poor population. Tamil Nadu is the second largest contributeor to India’s GDP. Tamil Nadu ranks 3rd in terms of invested capital (2.29 lakh crore ) and value of total industrial output (6.19 lakh crore). Tamil Nadu ranks first among the states in terms of numbers of factories with 17% share and industrial workers of the country. Tamil Nadu is placed third in health index as per the NITI AAYOG report. Tamil Nadu has a highest Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education. Tamil Nadu has the largest number of engineering colleges. Tamil Nadu has emerged as a major hub for renewable energy. Tamil Nadu has highest credit Deposit Ratio in Commercial and cooperative banks. It has the highest ranks first on investment proposal filed by MSMEs.

“If the nature of the work is properly appreciated and applied, it will stand in the same relation to the higher facilities as food is to the physical body”

-J.C. Kumarappa

Tamil Nadu state has come third after Kerala and Punjab in a health index report. The neo natal mortality rate is 14 lower than that of many other states and that the under 5 mortality has dropped from 21 in 2014 to 20 in 2015.

The Tamil Nadu economy which is not rich in natural resources has good record of agricultural growth, industrial progress, infrastructural development and good record of strong growth of service sector especially banking, education, transport and tourism. It occupies top three ranks in health index, education, development of MSMEs. It has good record of poverty allevation and employment generation. India in general and Tamil Nadu in particular need to work to eliminate female foeticide, reduce the population lying in slums, sleeping on roadsides, beggers and rag picker. Development is meaningless as long as the eyesore continues.

MY VISIT TO “REPLICA OF AMARNATH”,TIMMERSAIN MAHADEV CAVE, UTTRAKHAND

Me at Timmersain Mahadev , replica of Amarnath cave.

Uttarakhand , also known as “DEV BHUMI” or “the land of gods” is famous for its temples famous all around the world . yesterday only I visited a place which is attracting tourists a lot these days , that place is TIMMERSAIN MAHADEV CAVE Timmersain Mahadev is a cave of lord Shiva which is situated in Niti village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Cave is famous as the replica of Amarnath shrine of Jammu and Kashmir. Because of it’s a natural Shivaling of snow, this place is getting popularity day by day. On the lines of Baba Amarnath Yatra, pilgrims are now travelling to Timmersain Mahadev in the Niti Valley of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand.

Tourism Minister, Shri Satpal Maharaj said “A Shivaling is present inside the caves in Timmersain, which is located about a km before the last village in the Niti Valley of Joshimath block. The Shivaling is always anointed with the water dripping from the hills. While melting, the ice takes the shape of the Shivaling every year which is known as Barfani Baba or Timmersain Mahadev. Baba Barfani sits as a self-proclaimed Shivaling in Timmersain. Every year a Shivaling of more than 10 feet is formed here in winters. It is believed that Lord Shiva stayed at this place during Kailash Yatra. Therefore, this place is famous by the name of Sausa Mahadev. The devotees can now visit the restricted area of Niti Valley without any permission, and they can easily visit Timmersain Mahadev.

A part from the temple , there is this beautiful valley that is “NITI VALLEY “Niti is a small village located in the Niti valley of Joshimath. Niti is the last village and outpost in Indo-Tibetan border in Chamoli district. At an height of 3600 meters, Niti is situated near southern Tibetan border. The Niti Pass located at 5800 meters connects India with Tibet. During winters, Niti village and valley is covered with heavy snow. The villagers of Niti still follow the traditional methods of lifestyle in the mountains.

You will be amazed to know that Niti village inhabitants move to lower Himalayas in the valley & resides I the alternative village because there is heavy snowfall & no one can live at that place for 6 months from November to April. After these 6 months Niti Village is again filled with inhabitants.

There are some other villages near Niti such as Gamshali, Bampa, Kailashpur, Malari, Kosha , Raini , Timmersain Mahadev, & Tapovan. The disaster which shivered the whole valley of Tapovan & Raini village on 8th of February , come in the way to Timmersain Mahadev cave .

Government of Uttarakhand is trying to get permission to open this valley for tourist & make this a famous tourist place . This place will help Uttarakhand gain employment & tourists at a very high range as Jammu & Kashmir is getting . This is my initiative to make you all know about this place , & my personal advice to you all is , you must come & visit this holy place & see Mahadev in the form of slow Shivaling.

All our lives have been paused and shattered due to the arrival of the Covid 19 Virus which has devasted humans Globally and created tough times for every Human being who is striving to survive from this fatal disease.

It is no surprise how this deadly virus has become horrible nightwear for everyone and it provided a gift of Loss in every section of society. Globally it had provided huge losses in all types of professional fields. In these challenging times, one of the major sectors had been at a sea since a massive breakdown in the education sector due to the online classes and pandemic life.

Indian Students and unfavorable effects of Covid 19 on Education System :

It is majorly remarked that 1.2 billion children in 186 countries have been affected by school closures due to the epidemic of the Covid Virus. There is no doubt that E-Learning platforms have gained wide recognition in such time and the importance of technology in the world of humans has portrayed that human needs Technology to survive in such tough times.

As per in the field of Education sector it is noticed that India has around 320 Million learners who had shifted to E-Learning since the nation closure. Living in the era where E-Learning has become a prominent part of every student’s life, has also shown how difficult it has become for both students and teachers in India.

Since India is still a developing country, there are several drawbacks that Indians are facing in this Contemporary Epidemic. The situation of the education system is worse than the deadly disease which is slaughtering human communities.

India being the world’s 2nd largest school system, after China, has certain factors which are weakening the academic life of students, among these factors, there are several factors:

  1. Lack of  Sufficient Network Ability: As looking into the current situation, Internet consumption has been a major necessary element in a pandemic life. Everyone coming from all sorts of backgrounds and fields needs network connectivity for their respective purpose to fulfil.

The youngsters significantly need network broadband for their daily online classes and as a student network has become a mandatory part to get educated in the present condition. But sadly the scenario of Rural Indian households is much worsening as we get to observe that fewer than 15%, have Internet access ( as opposed to 42% of Urban Indian households).

  • Gender Barrier is still a Hindrance: This might be an unreal fact to process for many people, but rural Indian household is still not developed in gender equality and educating there children especially when it comes to the girl child. 8.5% of Females use the Internet in Rural India and suffer from the obstacle of getting education because either due to unavailability of network or due to prioritizing male child teachings. Hence, there has been more number of dropouts of children from the online education system.
  • Online System – A major obstacle for the older generations :

In our education system, not only students are suffering from the inconvenience set by the online classes, but it is also the teacher community that is in a state of perplexing when it comes to the usage of technology.

There are times when technology made our elder generations uncomfortable because it is something new for them to learn. In this instance, many teachers leave their jobs due to the uncomfortable environment set by the online classes.

So we can say that online classes are somewhere a curse for everyone in the education system.

Future Generation striving with the adversity:

Though the times are tough for everyone, as a human we should have the enduring capacity to work on our weakness.

Prominently, the youngsters, who would be the future minds must keep this as a note that, as millennial generations, we have many opportunities to turn the curse into a blessing and provide inspiration for many people globally.

As students, we can create an environment a comfortable zone for the teachers and our elders by making them aware of technology, and that we will be some minute steps which can make our country a developed country and not developing.
