College Life and pandemic.

College life is the most incredible phase of life where we gain innumerable experiences and make memories that last for a lifetime. It is the time we are exposed to the whole new world, the world out of the boundaries that schools build up to provide a safe environment. College life has different meanings for everyone. While some spend their time hanging out with friends having fun and party, others devote their focus towards study to pave the way to a brighter future. Be it a college rockstar or nerd, every individual wants to relive the memory lane of this beautiful arena.

Generally, college life is the time when an individual moves to another city to settle as a newbie as well as a freshman in college. Hence, is the time to learn from real-life experiences and learn to fit in the society as an individual. It is experiences that shapes the narrative of one’s mind and that’s how an individual’s growth is linked to directly to the environment we live in, which is why it is absolutely necessary to live these important years of life.

But unfortunately, batch of 2020 has no such experience and college students are stuck with an online system since March 2020, which is saddening and equally depressing. It is not only about classes that students are missing in this pandemic rather it’s the crucial period of life full of twists, turn and fun in being missed. While college life is shrunk and bottled up on the screen of the laptop and mobile phones, that is the worst possible scenario, life has become equally dull and bland. Attending everything from classes to workshops to fest virtually is a daunting task because it’s tiring to sit on the computer all day and is equally detrimental to health.

This online system is not online only affecting physical health but also provoking mental health issue particularly. In the provided system, fear of being missed out due to social isolation is overpowering young minds gradually, as a consequence of which anxiety and depression are entrapping the youths at a much faster rate in comparison to that of the adults. Like I said it’s the environment that shapes the narrative, and everyone is well aware of this chaotic and challenging online environment.

However, it is rightly said that something is at least better than nothing, so is this whole virtual life system that is allowing us to access education and work from our home.

So, in these trying times, it is necessary for everyone and for students as well to take care of themselves a little more than in the pre-pandemic world by connecting more with your family and developing habits of waking up early to have a moment of silence with yourself in the morning to introspect and meditate to generate the relaxing effect, and to remind the things to yourself that you’re still grateful for even in this pandemic.

Insomnia Disorder is a disorder in which a person has trouble falling or staying asleep, it can be acute or chronic. There are two types of insomnia, primary and secondary. In the case of primary insomnia, the sleep problems are not related to any other health problem, whereas, in the case of secondary insomnia, the trouble in sleeping is because of another health condition. The causes for primary insomnia can be stress, noise, light, temperature, jet lag. Symptoms of insomnia are sleepiness during the day, grumpiness, problems with concentration and memory, and fatigue. You are more likely at risk of insomnia if you are a woman because of the hormonal shifts.

There are three main types of sleep apnea; firstly, Obstructive sleep apnea is when the throat muscles relax; secondly, Central sleep apnea is when the brain fails to send proper signals to the muscles which are responsible for controlling breathing; lastly, Complex sleep apnea syndrome is when someone is suffering from the combination of the first and second type of sleep apnea. Symptoms are gasping for air during sleep, loud snoring, episodes in which you stop breathing, morning headache, awakening with dry mouth, hypersomnia, difficulty staying asleep, irritability, and difficulty paying attention while awake.

Parasomnia involves unusual and undesirable physical which disrupt sleep. It includes abnormal movements, talk, or other unusual things during sleep. There are two types of parasomnias, Non-REM and REM, this distinction is based on the stage of sleep in which they happen. Parasomnias during Non-REM include sleep terrors, sleepwalking, and sleep-related eating disorders. Parasomnias during REM include nightmare disorder, recurrent isolated sleep paralysis, and REM sleep behaviour disorder. Symptoms are waking up confused or disoriented, being tired during the day, difficulty sleeping through the night, and finding cuts and bruises which you do not remember.

Restless Legs Syndrome causes an uncontrollable urge to move your legs because of an uncomfortable sensation. Symptoms are sensations that begin after rest, relief with movement, worsening of symptoms in the evening, and nighttime twitching.

The Cuban Struggle Of 2021

INTRODUCTION

In the past few months, the world has been made aware of the atrocities the Cuban people have endured for 62 years at the hands of their government. The content being shared is far from comfortable to view and it has been emotionally and mentally exhausting having to speak out so that the families on the island can have a chance at freedom.

I have the privilege of being able to post freely and criticize both the US and Cuban government without fear of prosecution, the people of Cuba don’t. Myself, and other Cubans as well, have been spreading imagery and stories of what is occurring to amplify their voices on a larger scale to garner international support. They don’t have a way of knowing we’re doing this because internet blackouts keep occurring, but it’s crucial to stand in solidarity with them because it’s been too long and we ask other non-Cuban friends for help.

I’ve found myself having to prove a country’s history and struggle to people who don’t have the full picture of what is going on. Having allies in this moment is crucial, the Cuban people have been screaming for years but now people are finally listening.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

  1. Spread awareness- share photos, videos, and content about what’s going on social media.
  2. Lend your voice to the fight.
  3. Learn about the situation.
  4. Have conversations with Cubans to provide them emotional support.
  5. Find out and support the team on StudentsforafreeCuba.

Don’t let the movement die down, don’t let them keep suffering at the hands of an oppressive dictatorship.

FREE PALESTINE

Introduction

It’s so frustrating when people accuse us of being anti-Palestinians or they call us fascists, etc. after a post or comment we make in defense of the very misinformed & biased posts painting Israel like the devil while completely leaving out Palestinian militant’s & Hamas’ role in the conflict.

First of all, read a book or 2. Also, research the topic using unbiased sources as much as possible, or at least, differing perspectives.

Secondly, do you realize how sad it is that you associate hating Palestinians with supporting Jewish people’s right to also live peacefully in the land they ARE indigenous to? The two are not mutually exclusive; I support Palestinians freedom(FROM HAMAS) AND Israelis right to live in their land peacefully. That does not mean I agree or condone everything either group’s authorities do, but I don’t have to support everything government officials do in order to support their people and when you look at human rights violations as well as the other ways Palestinians are being oppressed you need to point your fingers at their very own ‘government’. Hamas causes way more damage to Palestinians than Israel does, not to mention, Israel’s actions are in defense of attacks from an organization that wants them all dead. I think that’s a good reason to fight back, don’t you?

Conclusion

To support Israel as Jewish people’s home, as its been from the beginning, & after being kicked out of every other country/land they tried to peacefully settle in plus loosing over 6 million of their ancestors in the Holocaust, seems very reasonable.

It doesn’t mean I don’t also believe Palestinians deserve to live peaceful lives free from oppression.

When did our fellow leftist liberals become so close minded & have you all always gotten your news from social media? Did no one explain that although social media is a good & entertaining place to start, it’s biased (yes, me too, although I at least attempt to be open & fair minded).

WHAT IS LITERATURE

Literature is one of the fine arts like music and painting. It is fundamentally, an Expression of life through the medium of language. Literature is composed of books that are of great human interest due to their subject matter and mode of presentation.

In Literature, form and the pleasure that form gives are of great importance. The writer is provoked by an urge for self-expression. Literature reflects an interest in the world of reality as well as imagination and our love of form and order. Matthew Arnold one of the prominent writers defined literature as a criticism of life.

We can find four distinct elements in all good Literature which are:

  1. The intellectual element
  2. The emotional element
  3. The element of imagination and fancy
  4. The element of composition and style or (The technical element)

Literary productions can be classified into five categories from the point of view of their subjects or themes:

  1. Literature of purely personal experience.
  2. Literature dealing with the common questions of life, death, Destiny, and God.
  3. Literature dealing with the social world order and its activities.
  4. Literature dealing with nature and man’s relationship with the external world.
  5. Literature deals with Literature and Art’s themselves.

How Literature came into existence:

The study of Literature begins with the reading of books which gradually leads to a familiarity with authors. Every great book has something fresh and original to say and it says this freshly and originally. As Plato says the foundation of all good and lasting work is entire sincerity to oneself and to the truth of things one perceives in life. The purpose of studying literature may be pleasure or acquirement of knowledge and insight or both. In any case, the Readers business is to enter into the spirit of the work and to penetrate the vital forces of the author’s personality.

Features of Literature:

Another important aspect of Literature is style. Literature uses language in various molds. The great writer modifies the language to his purposes and molds it according to his peculiarities. Thus the style of the author is the product of his personality; it is also a record of his artistic, spiritual and intellectual growth.
A proper study of Literature involves the study of its history, the biography of the author, and the ethos of the ages and society in which it is produced. Thus Literature becomes a supplement to the study of history. While history tells us about the externals of a people’s civilization, Literature gives us an insight into their mental, spiritual and moral condition.

Literature helps us to know more about the life of the people and the period of the time. It gives us an enormous study of the works and the mentality of the author and the author reflects the visions of the people. Thus, it expresses the emotional aspects which are locked inside the person and it provokes agony in the paper. However, Literature is a fine art that provides inner knowledge and enlightens people all over the world in different languages.

How Content Writing helps grow your business .

Haven’t you always been fascinated by those catchy caricatures and witty slogans by companies like Amul and Zomato? Everyday when I pick up the newspaper, the first thing that I make sure to read is the Amul advertisement. I’m not going to lie but I have always admired how they make those with subtle touch of wittiness , the recent trends and also the love of their brand.

Whether it’s a small caricature or a slogan or short articles ; a company’s strategy towards it’s content writing has always worked. How you ask ? Well for starters , I always buy the Amul products , not only because they have this unmatchable quality, but also the way they use their content to market their products and also keep their customers up to date with their accomplishments.

Scoopwhoop, The Quint ; are very popular names right now. I agree that the basic agenda of these companies is content creation, but the way they have build up a blended marketing strategy; has really helped their business evolve. And most importantly , because of their trusted content, many popular brands and organisations join hands with them to get the right exposure in the market . And believe it or not , it really helps!

Creative Content Writing Service - Creative Copywriting Service IT / Technology Services from New Delhi

1.Helps put your company on the radar – With regular update regarding the company’s status and also a bit of attention paid to the other relevant issues , people are sure to be talking about it. And this helps put your company on the map.

2.Helps increase the consumer base- When you can very effectively tell the audience about your products and solve all their queries, the customer base is sure to expand. Clearly and effectively mentioning the details about the products and any other related things worth noting, really helps build a relationship of trust between the company and the customer.

3.Words can surely make or break the game– It really boosts the marketing strategy of the company. Many companies approach content writers to pen down their achievements and aspirations that can be imprinted into readers’ minds.

4.Boosts search engine rankings. – Also when your content grabs the public eye, people can’t help but know more about the business and their story. And this will surely shoot those search engine rankings right through the roof.

5.Helps the company become more socially inclusive-It’s the 21st century and it’s more than important to have a voice that to for the right cause.Companies and organisations that keep themselves updated with the recent issues and actively put forth their stand , surely earn the respect of their customers. They can constantly update their websites , social media handles with short but powerful articles to tell people that their customers and their rights matter to them the most . This really helps in building a very healthy relationship between the two.

Netflix and Amazon also evolved with their growing consumer base with help of brilliant content marketing through those catchy slogans or sweet anecdotes. Words really matter, especially when you’re using them to pitch for your brand.

Brown history recently became number 1 Instagram handle for South Asian stories. Now this page further helps the brands connected with it to grow effectively.

Many content writing companies in India have understood the importance of words and are making sure that they put them into use wisely. Companies have to understand that their blogs, posts really impact people. Hence they need to be careful with the kind of information they want to be endorsing.

Having a great rapport with the customers through words – sounds like a very beautiful and effective plan.

Blue Origin Trip: People, Earth, Space and Environment

Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, the richest man on the planet and a lot many adjectives that are used for him – finally and quite successfully monetized space travel in the eyes of the Earthlings.

Jeff Bezos launches to space aboard New Shepard rocket ship - BBC News
Commercial Astronaut Bezos in his maiden space voyage.

To begin with, he thanked and congratulated all earthlings for this success. He added that it was we, the people and all the employees of Amazon who had paid for it. Well, he isn’t exactly lying. And we could be thankful to him too, for he has successfully monetized space travel – something we all wanted to hear as kids – well maybe not the monetization part. But it will be this monetization that will fuel more companies to enter into the market. Elon Musk has already worked a lot on reusable space crafts, not to forget that many space agencies – the most prominent being ISRO in India are working to create cheaper means of launching cargo and satellites into space and there are many private space-based start-ups opening up too. Maybe in a decade, space travel will be accessible to at least the upper middle class across the planet.

But should we really thank Jeff Bezos? Opening space for travel opens space for greater amount of debris and maybe a push for institutions all around the world to find out ways to tackle an already existing problem. To add to that, Space travel and Musks’s goal of colonising Mars are but only more incentives to reduce budget on the environment in the long run. Sounds like a dystopian Science Fiction but history points out to the facts that when man was not bound by citizenship laws, forests and agrarian lands have gone barren only because they had options. It is this history that has pushed us towards all the environmental litigations we know of. Will we be as enthusiastic about them if Mars colonies were a reality? As Musk has himself repeatedly stressed that Earth might no longer be livable. Well, scientifically, it is livable upto another 4.5 billion years. But we, the people and the way in which we living beings influence the climate might not allow the planet to see more than 500 years from now. And we are not to be shamed about it. Our education, our governments and our media is more accountable than we are. These are the institutions that tell us what and how the world is. And unfortunately, we believe that is the way the world is.

So, should we or should we not support a scientific and technological advancement?

The answers don’t really lie with anyone. While Bezos travelled to space and Musk revolutionised reusability of the crafts, we still saw public demonstrations in South America against the change in fishing litigations, India against the allegedly anti-environment and corporate-friendly revisions in Environment Impact Assessment Law draft and in Brazil against the government’s decision to not do a lot about the Amazon fires. Humanity still loves this Earth and while in a distant future, capitalism can shame people for doing so, it is increasingly unsuccessful right now. And let us not only keep it that way, but also create ways to add to that love.

Food Pollution.

We, human beings are vulnerable to various types of pollution. And Food is one of the most significant things we need to survive in this world. So, if the food we consume becomes polluted then what are the chances for us to stay healthy? Food Pollution over time has become a topic of concern, so let’s have look at it.

What is Food Pollution?

Food Pollution is defined as the presence of toxic chemicals (elements or compounds) or biological contaminants which are not naturally present in food or are above their natural background level (for those chemicals which are naturally found in some foods).

What are the effects of Food Pollution?

Food Pollution can affect us by causing mild to moderate to severe food illness and it can also cause various health issues like hormonal and metabolic imbalance, and even various types of cancer. Certain pesticides present in the food can also cause Nervous System problems. Further, in few cases, highly polluted food can cause immediate food poisoning or even death. Approximately, more than 70 million cases of food-borne diseases occur alone in the U.S. every year, resulting in 5,000 deaths per year.

What are the causes of Food Pollution?

There are several causes of Food Pollution. Practically, any pollutant has the potential to pollute food just by coming in contact with it.  And vegetables can get polluted by bacterial problems which can only be destroyed by processing the contaminated food at high temperatures. Let’s have a look at situations where toxic chemicals can get into the food:-

★ consumption of polluted water and/or food by fish or other animals;

★ food processing, packaging, and handling;

★ propagation and concentration of pollutants through the food chain;

★ growing of food (e.g. crops, fruits, vegetables) in polluted soils, solid wastes (e.g. mine tailings), or areas with polluted groundwater;

★ irrigation of grown food (e.g. vegetables, fruits, crops) with polluted water;

★ growing of food (e.g. crops, fruits, vegetables) in areas with polluted air;

★ agricultural treatments with pesticides, insecticides, and/or herbicides;

★ agricultural application of sewage sludge and/or polluted fertilizers (which contain ash from power plants).

Safe Food Alternative

Japan has come up with an alternative for producing safe food, according to which vegetables should be grown in factories that terminate the unpredictable effect of environmental pollution, unpredictable weather, or pests. Also, the process would be all computerized that would control various factors affecting growth. This idea of a safe food alternative was given by OZU cooperation in Tokyo. Can this be the way of future agriculture? Well, this we’ll see.

Hazards of Food Pollution are everywhere and all can be done on an individual level is; by informing ourselves and taking action.
