CIVILIZATION PROGRESSES ON THE LAP OF FOREST

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

FORESTS: SOURCES OF MANY ESSENTIAL MATERIALS

Forests are very important for the survival of man on earth. They fulfil our fundamental needs-food, clothes and shelter. Whatever we eat are the product of plants and trees. The clothes we wear are made from the plant fibre. The houses we live in are made of wood or have wooden materials. Not only this, the plants and trees are the sources of many essential materials-firewood, varieties of resin and gum, herbal medicines, etc. They also attract clouds and thus cause rain which is essential for agriculture. They defend soil from erosion and purify atmosphere by absorbing carbon-di-oxide and releasing oxygen. They also give shelter to birds and animals.

POPULATION EXPLOSION AND DEFORESTATION: DANGEROUS

“To be poor and be without trees, is to be the most starved human being in the world. To be poor and have trees, is to be completely rich in ways that money can never buy.” ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, The Faithful Gardener: A Wise Tale About That Which Can Never Die

But the growth of civilization has led to the removal of forests. The population explosion and industrialisation have led to the indiscriminate felling of trees. It has proved to be very dangerous. It has reduced the amount of rainfall. As a result, vast areas of land have become barren. Many pools and ponds have lost their existence. The rarity of pure air has led to many dangerous diseases. The pollution of air has caused crack in the ozone-layer which saves life on earth from the scorching sunrays. The rise of atmospheric temperature year by year is the result of deforestation.

PRESERVATION OF FORESTS IS VERY NECESSARY

“Wildness is the preservation of the World.”― Henry David Thoreau, Walking

So, the preservation of forests is indispensable. Deforestation was done for the progress of civilization; afforestation is necessary for the continuity of civilization. Destroy forest is to destroy life; to save forest is to save life. Nature does not betray the heart that loves her; she does not spare the heart that disturbs her. Man’s ignorance has upset the balance of Nature; Nature’s wrath has upset the joy of man.

Menstrual hygiene: necessity and not a luxury

Break the taboo

Menstruation is associated with the onset of puberty in girls. Menstrual health and hygiene or menstrual hygiene management brings up the adequate access to menstrual hygiene products to collect and absorb the flow of blood during the menstruating period. It also refers to the privacy to change the used material to a new and clean one and to dispose the used one .
Still today in many parts of India , menstruation is considered a taboo and often it brings with it tons of rules , many restrictions and sometimes discrimination and isolation. A girl or a women in her period is often excluded from many social and religious events and even sometimes they are not even allowed to enter in the kitchen of their own house .
Cause of menstruation still being a taboo –
Still today girls and women feel uncomfortable to talk about their period loudly and consider it a shame ; and not being talked about it loudly results in adolescent girls remaining unknown and ignorant of the hygiene and health practise which many a times results in adverse health conditions. Illiteracy , poverty and lack of awareness are the major behind menstruation still being a taboo in indian society. Several studies indicate that in india, specially in the rural areas and in the slums, most of the girls and women do not have consistent and adequate access to good quality menstrural hygiene products with 88% of them using homemade alternatives such as clothes, rags, hay, sand and ash.
OUTCOMES OF NOT HAVING ACESS TO MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS
Not having adequate access to clean and proper menstrual hygiene products causes many health problems like Reproductive Tract Infections (RTI), irritation of skin which causes discomfort and possibly results in dermatitis which is a medical condition in which the skins swells , turns red and at times becomes a sore with blisters. There is a balance of good and bad bacteria that live in the vagina . If this balance gets disrupted or hampered because of certain poor menstrual hygiene it causes vaginosis . This impact women the most when they are pregnant or trying to get pregnant . RTI also increases the chances of having cervical cancer. Added to the discomfort it also hampers their mobilty and day – to – day activites.
Why is menstrual awareness important ?
Myths about menstruation is largely prevalent forcing many girls to dropout of school early year at menarche in India . A study finds a 12 % decline in school enrollment rate for girls in the menarche group , also in the co-ed schools , disparity is clearly visible in the ratio of girls to boys always remaining low.
It is very important to spread awareness on menstrual hygiene . Menstruation considered a taboo topic , most of the adolescent girls when they get their first period, they don’t know about “menstrual hygiene management “. Many a time, unawareness about menstrual hygiene has an a adverse impact on women’s health especially in rural areas and the slums of the cities. Not having access to proper menstrual hygiene products is the harsh reality of most rural and slum womens. Lack of information and other socio-cultural norms and the use of unhygenic products instead of safe sanitary napkins and tampons makes it difficult for the girls to remain hygenic .
Its high time we spead correct information and educate the adolescent girls about menstruation and help them know about how to maintain proper menstrual hygiene . To educate girls and spread awareness among the womens of slums and the rural areas , the much needed measure is to spread awareness that it a normal very biological process and busts the myths associated with menstruation to ensure healthy menstrual practices.
Spreading awareness about menstruation and menstrual hygiene can help in creating a culture that welcomes discussions about it and can also prevent many diseases and infections caused due to unhygenic practices.
MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS IS A BASIC NECESSITY
Poverty is another reason why the womens of rural areas and slums use alternatives most of them cannot afford adequate and proper menstral products . the unavailability of menstrual products n rural areas ans high cost of the same in the cities deter menstrual hygiene in India.
To increase awareness about menstrual hygiene product being a necessity the washrooms in schools shouls also stock menstrual product besides stocking soaps , papaer towels etc. Having the supply of free menstrual products in every schools will not only ensure that every menstruating girl gets access to the basic needs easily , but many a times it helps in solving economic issues.
Its time for us to start spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene and spread knowledge and correct information about it and start treating it is as a healthly biological process and not a taboo.

Monophobia-Reality of 2021

People were hurt financially as well as mentally by the prolonged lockdown. The truth is that financial losses can be recovered over time, but the mental disease that our generation is experiencing is not.

Covid-19 claimed the lives of around 3,923,238 people worldwide. Every day’s news digest about medical supply shortages and increasing covid instances broke people’s hearts. Such dire conditions were not restricted to those in hospitals; those in their safe havens of their homes were also not safe as they confronted a terrifying invisible monster spreading its arms and doing harm to their mental health.

Monophobia is the state where an individual fears to be alone. Even in a usually comforting place like home, can cause severe anxiety for people with this condition. People with monophobia need another person or other people around in order to feel safe. A person with this condition usually faces extreme anxiety.

With the outbreak of the pandemic, practically all offline work moved online, and people needed time to acclimatise to this new reality. Even after settling in, many struggled to overcome feelings of loneliness and worry that were gradually taking over their minds as a result of a lack of social contacts and physical meetings. It is now universally accepted that physical meetings had a higher level of significance and will always be more valued than any texts, calls or video conferencing.

Because of this lack of interaction, the majority of people now fear being alone. We now understand the value of being surrounded by people, such as family and friends. It’s depressing to learn that many people have committed suicide as a result of loneliness and anxiety issues.

Monophobia is a side effect of the post-lockdown situation. Following the Lockdown, harsh realisations emerged that life is unpredictable and far too valuable to be taken for granted.

So, what is the current need? It is self-evident that we must widen the doors of our hearts and accept others. Acceptance is crucial; it may aid your family member or friend in recovering and reliving their experiences. Inquire of your relatives, acquaintances, or even a new acquaintance “Are you all right? And if you ever need to share something, I’m here to help.”

Make yourself a better companion by being a little kind to the individuals you interact with. Stop passing judgement on people during such trying times; you never know what they are going through. Also take good care of your own self in order to help others. As more the merrier. healthier the better.

How to maintain healthy relationship with yourself

What does a healthy relationship with yourself look like?

A healthy self-relationship is the ability to value yourself as a person, and embrace your strengths and weaknesses.

Here are five ideas on cultivating a good relationship with yourself :

  1. Regularly make time for yourself.

It is very crucial to interact with yourself. Sit quietly for 10 minutes in the morning with your first cup of coffee. But if your mornings are too hectic then try meditation in the evening or even better you could write a  journal.

  1. Check in with yourself

It’s easy to find yourself wondering, “I don’t know who I am anymore”, if you don’t check in every now and then.

Question yourself everyday, “How am I feeling? What am I struggling with? What am I interested in? What are my goals?” Come up with a list of questions like these that you can routinely quiz yourself with, so you get a sense of where you’ve been, where you are now and where you are going.

Self-awareness is key to improvement.

  1. Accept yourself

Part of having a relationship with yourself is understanding who you are and accepting the good and the bad. It is extremely important that you learn to forgive yourself and avoid being overly critical. Acknowledge your strengths and give yourself a pat on the back when you are successful.

  1. Be your own friend

It’s important to evaluate  the relationship you have with yourself. Ask yourself, what can I do to make my day-to-day life easier? It could be something as small as reflecting on a mistake you have recently made and taking the time to sort through it. What could you have done differently? How can you keep that from happening again?

It is extremely vital to reason with yourself, it gives you perspective and clarity about your life choices.

  1. Enjoy your company

You need to show yourself that you can be happy and have fun without relying on others to experience it with you. Not that you need to shut people out, but you can keep yourself occupied in healthy ways to discover things and laugh with yourself.

You will be your only constant throughout your life. People will come and go. Some relations will last a long time, some won’t. In this life of hustle, one thing that should never take for granted is yourself. Always remember to be kind to yourself.

DAD’S DAUGHTER- GRIEF OF A LITTLE GIRL

” The sight of my old pencil art of a little girl holding index finger of her dad made me to travel into my past. Dad saw true mastery in my scribblings. I think he is the only person who will be good to us. The doll becomes dull, in his absence. Girls are much connected to their dad but I had spent portable time with my dad. Every daughter feels her dad as a hero. In my issue he is not only a hero, but he is also a board of support, the spark in my gapes and shine in my smile. He is the man behind us as a guide and beside us as a friend.

Dad’s are not only heads of our family but also honey to our mom and king to his princess just like a nerve vagus in our body. Dad while remembering all the naughty things, a cute smile on my face suddenly disappeared when I turned the other page of my drawing book. The same art but with out you, tugged me back to reality. I do remember that day started pleasantly and ended with grief.

As soon as we came to know about the covid positive result of my dad, he isolated from us and maintained taking medication through online. Exactly after three days of his isolation he undergone into serious condition, that he is not able to take breathing properly and we admitted my dad in a hospital. We are in a hope that he will get cured soon and will return to our home but our expectations went wrong.

My mom received a call from the hospital after a day of admitting my dad which made my thoughts to run high. My breath stooped for a while before I complete my prayer. Dad, I saw you without any eternity in your body and that environment ceased my brain. It couldn’t send any messages to my tear glands. Suddenly my throat loaded and I felt heavy. I feared to see you like that dad. My mom hold me tightly. Tears gushed from one eye. My room knows how much I cried. It’s my palm that zipped my every killing tear.

I not only lose my dad but also my friend and my strength. It’s unfair dad, you must not leave your little girl. The three months of my journey with out you made me to feel alone. Please come back dad!! I need you . Society seems too outrageous, your girl is confronting with hurdles every day. Immense pain produce no rips, storing all the pain inside the flush box and pressed my expression with throated emotions. “

The above write-up is the pain of a little girl who lost her dad due to covid-19 pandemic. There are several families around us lost their loved ones because of this pandemic. The death one’s is one of the worst tragedies in life. The pain of those families is speech less.

Finally, I wish to say that we cannot bring back the people who left us physically but we can help their families by supporting them during the emotional hardship to make them feel safe and strong.

” PLEASE FOLLOW THE COVID-19 GUIDELINES STRICTLY TO STOP THE SPREAD OF VIRUS”

How dangerous the Coronavirus is?

He has killed more than 4,000 people in a short period of time. This is the worst epidemic in years. The whole world was destroyed. The new type of coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough but no runny nose. This is the easiest way to identify the death of Wuhan virus (COVID-19) at 30-35 degrees, so please drink plenty of hot water. You can let your friends and family drink plenty of hot water to prevent it. Please spend a long time in the sun. Recently it was a cold period of the year, and I drank hot wine. Getting into the water is also very convenient. Drinking warm water is effective for most viruses.

1 This virus is quite large (cell diameter is about 400-500 nm), so any ordinary mask (not just the N95 function) should be able to filter it out. The infected person sneezes in front of you, walks 3 meters (approximately 10 feet), and then touches the ground and stops flying 659872 If the virus falls on a metal surface, it will survive for at least 12 hours, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and leave you with water. No disinfectant 3 Virus can remain active on tissues for 612 hours Ordinary washing powder should kill the virus. Winter clothes that do not need to be washed every day can be exposed to the sun for 4 hours to kill the virus.

2 Then the virus mixed with nasal fluid and dripped into the lungs along the trachea, causing pneumonia. This process takes 5 to 6 days.

3 Pneumonia causes high fever and shortness of breath. Stuffy nose is not the norm. I feel like I am drowning in the water If you feel this way, it is important to see a doctor immediately. Prevention: The most common route of infection is by contact with objects in public places, so you need to wash your hands frequently. The virus can only survive on your hands for 510 minutes. But during these 510 minutes, you may cause a lot of harm (you may rub your eyes or pick your nose unknowingly)

4 In addition to washing your hands frequently, you can also rinse your mouth with Betadine to kill or reduce the bacteria still in your throat (Before) it drips into the lungs)

5 Follow the traditional Indian way of life and live according to moral principles and values. India’s traditional values and lifestyle are the best way to combat these deadly diseases. This virus is just a warning. Nature may have more such diseases in the future. This is nature’s response to human overuse of nature. Do not eat after sunset. You are a vegetarian and always drink boiled water. You eat freshly prepared food. You are very scientific about what to eat and what not to eat. They use muh-batti (a kind of mask). For thousands of years, you are now in the news

The Healthcare Systems

Only healthy citizens can contribute to a healthy economy. The government of a country provides the necessary funds for the health plan in its budget. In addition, during an epidemic or pandemic, the government ensures the health of its citizens through large-scale tests. And treatment The government is also taking various measures to educate the public about epidemics. In addition, the government is raising public awareness of the causes and preventive measures of various diseases. A large-scale immunization program has also been carried out to prevent the occurrence of many bacterial and viral diseases. The health system of one country is different from that of another country. In India, health services are provided by the public and private sectors. The health system includes hospitals, telemedicine, insurance doctors, etc. In India, the health structure consists of three, two, and three levels. Primary includes sub-centers and primary health care centers. The second level includes community health centers, while the third level includes hospitals and medical schools.

Sub-center:

This is the main point of contact between the health system and patients. It is composed of male and female health professionals and a volunteer.

Primary Medical and Health Center:

This is the main point of contact between villagers and doctors. Medical professionals and nursing staff are part of APS. The main functions of APS are vaccination plan, contraceptive plan, pregnancy care, etc.

Community Health Center:

Including doctors, pediatricians, gynecologists, surgeons, and equipped with operating rooms, X-ray machines, etc.

The private sector

The private sector has also contributed to providing health services to the majority of the population. Through telemedicine, many private medical hospitals and new medical companies are also providing high-quality medical services to rural residents.

Conclusion

The health information system is the future of the medical center. Even so, many hospitals are skeptical about the introduction of this new technology. There are two reasons for this: high cost and implementation process. Changing the initial process This may sound daunting, but we guarantee that the results are worthwhile.

LEARNING DISABILITIES AMONGST CHILDREN.

Learning disabilities are due to genetic and/or neurobiological factors that alter brain functions in a manner which affects one or more processes related to learning. These processing problems can interfere with learning basic skills such as reading, writing and/or math. They can also be related to with higher level skills such as organization, time planning, abstract reasoning, long or short term memory and attention. It is important to realize that learning disabilities can affect an individual’s life beyond academics and can impact relationships with family, friends and in the workplace. It can also be a source of bullying amongst smaller children.

“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn”. Learning disability, learning disorder or learning difficulty, is a condition in the brain that causes difficulties comprehending or processing information and can be caused by several different factors. Given the “difficulty learning in a typical manner”, this does not exclude the ability to learn in a different manner. Symptoms of dyslexia usually become more obvious when children start school and begin to focus more on learning how to read and write. People are often also quite unaware about this topic .The unknown factor is the disorder that affects the brain’s ability to receive and process information. This disorder can make it problematic for a person to learn as quickly or in the same way as someone who is not affected by a learning disability. People with a learning disability have trouble performing specific types of skills or completing tasks if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways.

Preschool children

In some cases, it’s possible to detect symptoms of dyslexia before a child starts school. Symptoms can include: delayed speech development compared with other children of the same age (although this can have many different causes) speech problems, such as not being able to pronounce long words properly and “jumbling” up phrases (for example, saying “hecilopter” instead of “helicopter”, or “beddy tear” instead of “teddy bear”) problems expressing themselves using spoken language, such as being unable to remember the right word to use, or putting sentences together incorrectly little understanding or appreciation of rhyming words, such as “the cat sat on the mat”, or nursery rhymes difficulty with, or little interest in, learning letters of the alphabet.

School children

Symptoms of dyslexia usually become more obvious when children start school and begin to focus more on learning how to read and write. Symptoms of dyslexia in children aged 5 to 12 include: problems learning the names and sounds of letters spelling that’s unpredictable and inconsistent putting letters and figures the wrong way round (such as writing “6” instead of “9”, or “b” instead of “d”) confusing the order of letters in words reading slowly or making errors when reading aloud visual disturbances when reading (for example, a child may describe letters and words as seeming to move around or appear blurred) answering questions well orally, but having difficulty writing the answer down difficulty carrying out a sequence of directions struggling to learn sequences, such as days of the week or the alphabet slow writing speed poor handwriting problems copying written language and taking longer than normal to complete written work poor phonological awareness and word attack skills.

Word attack skills

Young children with dyslexia can also have problems with word attack skills. This is the ability to make sense of unfamiliar words by looking for smaller words or collections of letters that a child has previously learnt. For example, a child with good word attack skills may read the word “sunbathing” for the first time and gain a sense of the meaning of the word by breaking it down into “sun”, “bath”, and “ing”.

Causes of disabilities

The causes for learning disabilities are not well understood, and sometimes there is no apparent cause for a learning disability. However, some causes of neurological impairments include:

Heredity and genetics Learning disabilities are often linked through genetics and run in the family. Children who have learning disabilities often have parents who have the same struggle.

Problems during pregnancy and birth A learning disability can result from anomalies in the developing brain, illness or injury. Risk factors are fetal exposure to alcohol or drugs and low birth weight (3 pounds or less). These children are more likely to develop a disability in math or reading.

Conclusion

Learning disabilities is a field that is constantly changing. With the advent of techniques that allow scholars to study the brain in action, we may understand not only the normal process of reading but also what happens when the system is not working. The hope is that we will be able to prevent learning disabilities or, at the least, to develop innovative and successful interventions. It is also hoped that we will become more adept at identifying children at earlier ages to prevent some of the emotional and social difficulties that can be associated with a learning disability. Neuroscience is now promising new avenues in our study of learning disabilities as is genetics. Families who have a history of learning disability need further study to provide appropriate support for them as well as to assist with early interventions

MACHINE LEARNING – THE MIRACLE

In the real world, we are learning new things every day and improving our decision-making skills on the basis of successful decisions in the past. Isn’t this human learning? If we now use computers to fully automate this process, what will it be? This will be machine learning.

Everyday applications

We use it a dozen times a day without even realizing it. Every time you perform a Google search, your machine learning software will figure out how to categorize the pages you want to visit. Also learn that if you read emails from your inbox, the smart spam filter can save you from browsing a lot of spam.

THE TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING

Recently, Tom Mitchell described machine learning as a computer program. It is said that the program learns from experience E related to task T and performance metric P because its performance in T is improved by the P metric. Experience E Let us give an example of an online chess game, in which each game is a task T, and the process of the game is the experience E. Each game has a final result, which is a performance indicator P. This performance indicator is to win. Probability of a game against a new opponent. Now that the computer has the patience to play tens of thousands of games alone, it can further improve your chances of winning consecutively. Machine learning technology: a brief overview We all know how computers work, we all know How the computer works, we have simplified many operations. Now we are trying to get computers to examine all the macro and micro levels of human thought processes that lead to multiple decision-making skills. By developing truly intelligent machines, we can do almost anything you and I can do. This work consists of complex algorithms and functions of artificial intelligence applications running in expert systems. With every action you take, the computer will learn self-learning and self-esteem through progressive, keen, and precise decision-making skills. The computer learns to remember a past experience and process them according to the archived tasks and the resulting performance level. Development of actions/results in a specific context or situation.

FUTURE ASPECTS AND THE SCOPE OF IMPROVEMENT

Machine learning is not limited to Google search or Amazon prediction. It is widely used in medical diagnosis, where tiny patterns are revealed to predict disease. Machine learning can have a positive impact on treatment and subsequent procedure decisions. Financial transactions, data mining, fraud detection, speech recognition, spam prevention, and language translation are some other areas where machine learning is used. The company uses the technology to predict the relevance of products based on the collected data. Let us see what machine learning can bring to the future. A fully functional self-driving car is expected to be available at the end of 2018. Natural language processing has developed a subset of machine learning so that students can improve search results and translations based on the search context. It will also help digital assistants like Siri interact with Humans On Cyber Security Front, a machine learning model that can analyze the structure of inbound or outbound traffic to detect and stop suspicious before continuing damage occurs. activity. Decisions and code changes can be made without explicit programming, which makes machine learning an inevitable trend now and in the future.

Incompatible food combination

Some delicious combinations are doing your body more harm than good when eaten together. We all know the dangers and health risks of eating junk food yet we still stuff our faces with the ‘wrong things.’ We are all guilty of eating the wrong kind of food because we are too lazy to eat the right stuff. Either a busy day at the office or we are just feeling down and find a reason, an excuse rather to get our hands on that burger we had been craving all week. We all know that our health greatly depends on the food we choose to eat. That is why it has to be not only tasty but also good for our bodies. However, sometimes the wrong combinations of ingredients can undermine all the healthiness you were trying to achieve!

Some food combination can be harmful if you are having a delicate digestive system. Here are a few combinations that should not be eaten together as they may cause more harm than good.

1.Yogurt with fruit. You should avoid it as the bacteria of yogurt will act on the sugar present in fruits and leads to toxins, cold, allergies. Any sour fruit like berries and yoghurt do not make a good combination. A better idea with yogurt is to add some healthy fat in nuts or a dash of cinnamon. A little bit of honey or a few raisins go well too.

2.Water and food. Water along with meals is one of the worst combinations. This is because water tends to dilute stomach acids, which are essential for digesting the food that you eat. This can get difficult for your tummy and make it work more to digest the food.

3.Milk and Banana. Shocking right? According to Ayurveda, eating bananas and milk together can diminish Agni (fire), which is responsible for the digestion and metabolism of food. The digestion of this combo is very hard as it is known to produce toxins in the body.

4.Honey and Ghee. Mixing honey with ghee is a big NO. Honey has the property of heat and ghee has the property of cold, and one should never combine opposite properties in equal amounts.

5. Burger and fries. This may make you wonder because most burger joints give fries along with the burger. But it is not so because this combo is as wrong as it could get. Both fries and burger patty are deep fried food items, which can make your blood sugar levels very low. Low blood sugar levels will make you tired and lethargic.

6.Wine and dessert. Although we know wine and cheese to be a food match made in heaven, wine with dessert does not mix so well.

7.Mint with aerated drinks. Mint with coke can cause excessive bloating and gas, which can make you very uncomfortable.

8.Pizza and coke. Who doesn’t love pizza with a coke? As much as it sounds tempting, this combination is not good for your health. You should avoid drinking a cold drink with a cheesy food as the combination can lead to difficulty in absorption. Pizza is loaded with starch and proteins, which slows down digestion and high amounts of sugar from cola further makes you digestion sluggish.

9.Juice and cereal. If you are thinking that a glass of juice along with your breakfast cereal is going to give you much-needed energy for the day, well, that may not be true. The acids in fruit juices like orange juice hinder the breaking down of carbohydrates by affecting the enzyme activity.

10.Eggs and fried meat. One of the bad food combinations for digestion is eggs and fried meat. Fried meat like bacon along with eggs is a combo that is loaded with protein and your digestive system may take a long time to digest it.

11.Fruits with a meal. The best time to eat fruits is in the mornings, on an empty stomach, with a glass of water, as it helps in detoxifying your system.

12.Milk and melon. Milk and melon must never be paired. Since melons are rapidly digested, they trigger the secretion of stomach acids, which curdle the milk. This causes indigestion and causes many other diseases.
